Kunming Chenggong District Hotels

This is an excellent location if you have an early train out of the Kunming South station. It’s about a ten-minute walk to and from the station, or if you arrange the shuttle with them, I believe you can take that one time. The breakfast buffet was large, with a variety of both Western and Chinese foods. The 24-hr free laundry room (with soap provided) was a big bonus. The room was clean, with an excellent view from the floor-to-ceiling window. We also loved that there was a street just outside the hotel that had street vendors selling lots of types of food. It was a pretty active part of town with lots of students.

The hotel is very new and has no peculiar smell. The room is very bright and the sound insulation is very good, which is something I care about very much. I slept very well at night. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and provided good service. We went to Kunming South Railway Station for two days, and the hotel provided free drop-off service, which was very considerate. The prices in the off-season are also very attractive. This hotel is very cost-effective and highly recommended to everyone!

So this hotel is a great location for KUNMING SOUTH STATION.  Two stops on the metro then 5 minutes walk.  Loads of places to eat. (I also recommend the foot spa ladies nearby - can’t remember their shop name but look for the little wooden buckets to steam then massage your feet / just fantastic!!). Hotel Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet, no noise from the street when we visited. Good showers, hairdryer and decent Chinese breakfast. (Thank you to sweet girl in restaurant who made my breakfast noodles for me!)

Pros: - The room was new and stylish. - Had the largest TV I had ever seen in any hotel. - Hotel provides fresh fruit plate and tremella and pear dessert nightly. - bottled water and drinks available free flow from The fridge at reception desk. - bed and pillows were very comfortable, providing a good night’s rest. - about 20 min walk to the dounan flow market. - the reception kindly helped us collect our courier delivery. Cons: - room size was on the small side. There was barely space to keep 2 28” luggages open. - Our taxi had difficulty finding the location of the hotel even with the address provided and using baidu map. - we arrived at 11+pm and there was no one at the reception. The booking stated that reception was open 24hrs thus we did not make arrangement to notify about our arrival time. There was a signage that states that we could call a local mobile number to reach the staff. However, as our e-sim only had data and no talktime, we were unable to contact them, nor add them to WeChat. Eventually, fortunately a fellow hotel guest stepped out of their room and was kind enough to help us make a call to contact the reception. Overall a good experience.

I booked this hotel from trip.com for the first time. Initially, i was a bit reluctant to book but i realized it's positive rating from many reviewers. The location is just next to Yihe Road subway. It is just 3 stations away from the shopping complex as well as the food complex (Chorung station). Rooms are perfect for couples. Two persons can easily accommodate in one room. Their breakfast is the best I have ever experienced. They put many varieties of items. Staffs are well cooperative! I recommend any type of traveller to try this atour hotel.

Children especially like this room, it’s so fun and looks like a hammock. The room is large, has a wide view, and is very clean. The intelligent voice-controlled lights and curtains responded to my call at the drop of a hat. My kids almost yelled at me 😂. There is also afternoon tea at the front desk, with various teas and snacks available for eating and drinking. The young lady is also very enthusiastic, gentle and caring. Pick-up at the high-speed rail station: When we checked out, they called a car and took us to the high-speed rail station for free. This check-in experience was very nice.

The room was very comfortable and nice for our short stay. Perfect for travellers travelling around Yunnan as well since it is 10 minutes away from the main train station in Kunming (Kunming South). The hotel also provides a free shuttle service every hour which made it very convenient for us. The shampoos provided were very expensive, high quality and smelled amazing, which was quite surprising! Highly recommend to stay.

The room was clean and the aunt was very kind and kind. There were a lot of food near the hotel. Although I stayed for one night, the experience was very good. I forgot to take photos. It is worth living! I wish the boss a prosperous business 🎊 (There is a picture taken at the hotel hahahaha The second one is the nearby Yunnan cuisine and the third one is the sunset in Kunming)

A relatively new hotel. Perfect for a overnight stay for people rushing to the high speed the next morning. Room was big and comfortable. We booked for the non smoking level but there is an ashtray on the living room table and u can smell cigarette smoke along corridor. Really wished this country makes more effort in advocating for non smoking despite signs beinf put up. We managed to search for a little night market, Shilin night market about 10 mins taxi ride away from the hotel. Maybe hotel can provide more information about places around for tourists. It is also a short walking distance to the metro which is linked to high speed as well. Managed to book the free pick up from high speed to hotel however the next day's hotel to high speed is already fully booked. We also didn't managed to have breakfast due to timing of our high speed.
