Amazing
CCookEmI recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

GGuest UserGreat location, service and cleanliness. It would be perfect if there was a little shelf in the dorm to put things on, like a drink bottle.

GGuest UserHyatt Hotel is located beside Lake Burley Griffin. Easy to reach by car but seems like there is not much public transport nearby. We rented a car for our trip in Canberra so accessibility wasn’t an issue for us. Hotel parking was AUD30 in their underground carpark. They recommended for us to park on the street parking. Paid parking for daytime from 8.30am. Parking overnight was free. Popular landmarks of Canberra was within minutes drive from the hotel. Snapper & Co. restaurant was 5 minutes drive from the hotel and they serve great fish and chips! From the exterior of the hotel, you could tell that the hotel is of a certain age. But the interior was grand and nice! The room was spacious and clean! Was surprised to see Le Labo amenities! Bath salt was also provided. Had 2 other rooms on a different booking, and they managed to allocate rooms side by side. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!

SSleepy TigerWe enjoyed our stay, The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍 The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided. Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken).

The room is very spacious, equipped with central air conditioning and a large, modern TV that supports screen casting — which is perfect for guests on vacation. I’m really happy to have stayed here!

GGuest UserOlder hotel that had renovated. The rooms were a good size with kitchen and facilities. The bedroom area was a generous size with a queen and single bed. Mattresses quite soft so if you’re used to a firm bed, you will notice the difference. Abundance of power outlets ( no usb charging), and a 43 inch TV. The bathroom was large, and had been renovated with new appliances but, they had left the old bathroom ceiling which was in a bad way and no ceiling fan so lots of condensation which led to mould spots on the new shower walls. No shower screen, only a curtain and it seemed that the water runoff on the floor was running away from the two drains as it was pouring into the kitchen and onto the carpet in the bedroom area. ( She does use a lot of water but it should have coped). Basically a great hotel for the money and excellent location near the cbd and plenty of good restaurants. Added bonus for us was having free Tesla destination charging which meant driving down from Sydney, we didn’t need to go searching for a charge station.
