"I come back and check in here again, the staff saw me have lots of big luggages so she choose the room which is infront the elevator for me! The room is nice and big and have coffee machine for you. Love most is the locations which is 100m. from the main station and tram just infront the hotel."
"It’s located right next to the tram station which was super convenient to get to the main train stop. They had lovely friendly staff and we got a small treat and flavored water while we were waiting for check in. They also give you a card to travel around the city on the public transport. Breakfast was also really good!!"
"Great hotel with delicious breakfast. Scrambled eggs and good coffee. The gym was well furnished with many fitness machines and free bottled water. Sauna is unisex."
"Excellent facility, very comfortable bed and pillows...and that's saying something...location close to the center but also to transportation to the airport. Friendly and helpful staff."
"Very good local, conveniently in front of the train station and trams. Room was clean and nice. Toilet was big too. Enjoyed my stay."

Amazing
GGuest UserVery excellent location. Right opposite train station. We would specially highlight the cleaniness of this hotel. Every single details are taken care of . We also had the best breakfast in Gaia beautiful breakfast room. Must must book your rooms with breakfast . Highly recommeded Gaia Hotel to everyone.
GGuest UserIt was a comfortable stay, with great pillow and comforter. The toilets are clean and bright, with shower gel provided, as well as towels! The breakfast was amazing. The room is spacious and the overall environment as well as the architecture of the building is unique and impressive. However, there is no power socket around the bed, only a usb might be a slight disadvantage. You have to take the bus from the train station but they do provide free Basel Transport card. I enjoyed my stay there and would come back if I'm visiting Basel again!
GGuest UserGreat hotel. Convenient location (tram stop literally out front) and walking distance to multiple local attractions. Very thoughtful and kind staff. Large, clean room. We upgraded to a room with a balcony on the 6th floor (picture from balcony included) and it was lovely. Gym also great. Breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend!
GGuest UserVery satisfactory hotel, cost-effective. There is a bus city card at the front desk, which allows free transportation and a 50% discount for museums. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, and you can have a high-quality sleep.
GGuest UserArrived in Basel a day early to begin a Rhine River cruise. Folks at Hotel D were nice, accommodating. Good directions and some site maps provided. The hotel was centrally located and not far (walk or tram) to where the rive boat dock was. Nice lobby and though small (standard for Europe) had a nice room. Over all clean and sufficiently supplied. Easy to walk around from to see old city sites and garner food. Basel is nice town to begin this part of Europe trip. Hotel D started us off on the right foot.
Ssekn1987Good location high floor and nice view from the room room is spacious enough. I like the free access to Business lounge (for certain room types) which provide some food for dinner.
GGuest UserMy first time at this hotel that was recommended to me by my fiends. This house has an interesting history - that’s why we came. We found the entrance by car only after circling the property but were greeted very friendly in the lobby. The first 30 min parking are free. There were 7 parking lots outside and more in a parking garage under the restaurant. Parking over night is CHF 22.. The hotel is quiet but located near the Spalentor. At the check in we got a tourist card to use all public transportation for free. There is a tea and coffee making facility in a nicely decorated room on the floor. For elderly guests the hotel should have in the shower a anti slip floor and bigger waste bins. The fan in the room helped against the heat. Breakfast was good.
When summer arrives, there’s nothing like a family trip to Stadtmarkt in Basel to make the most of sunny days. Radisson Blu Hotel, Basel (from €105) is a popular hotel with a pool, great for cooling down after a fun day out.
