Villa Augusto Hotel

9.1/10
Great
Guest User
The boutique hotel exceeded all expectations. The rooms were thoughtfully designed down to the last detail, although a little dated, but that didn't detract from the experience. The bed linens were excellent and clean. The showers were beautifully stocked with toiletries. The dinner menu was top-notch in terms of cuisine, presentation, and service. Pure white tablecloths and beautiful tableware. Breakfast was exactly the same every day: cheeses, cold meats, vegetables, fruits, salted fish, jams, butter, breads, and pastries. Hot breakfast food is available upon request from the staff. They'll bring you whatever you request. This ensures food isn't wasted, and consumption is sensible. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. The seawater pool was a delight. Few places in Turkey offer such luxury, so this option gets a huge thumbs up. The locals, especially the cute cats and turtle, kept us entertained throughout our stay. The sun loungers can be positioned exactly as you like, in the shade of a pomegranate or under palm trees. The garden deserves an A+; the gardener is a true talent. Beautiful sunset views. The location, close to package hotels, didn't interfere with our vacation at all. We didn't hear any music or people shouting. The hotel guests are a special joy; everyone is polite, cultured, and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly. They helped with airport transfers. There's a lounge with cozy furniture, a bar area, and a library in various languages. We would be delighted to come back. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and conversation. We wish you great prosperity and grateful guests. Sincerely, from St. Petersburg.

Grand Okan Hotel

The hotel is in a good location, just a minute's walk from the beach. I stayed for two weeks in a room with a sea view on the fifth floor. The view is nice. The balcony of the other room is close, so when other guests are on that balcony, your privacy is violated. There is a small busy road below the room that you have to cross to go to the beach. Although I could hear the sounds of cars passing by on the balcony, it didn't bother me, and in the room it was less so when the windows were closed. However, if you mind noise, bring earplugs. Wifi is free, and it works so-so, sometimes good, sometimes slower. Air conditioning is free and works great. The insulation in the rooms is more or less good, although during the day you can hear the cleaning staff. I have a complaint about the bed because the mattress is too hard for my taste, which I don't like because it doesn't suit my body, so I would wake up with back pain. The TV is old with Turkish channels and should be modernized and a TV that supports Netflix, Disney, HBO... Luckily I had an iPad so I watched on it, but it feels better watching TV. A big plus is the armchair in the room, and it's great that they have one, because some hotels don't, so you have to watch TV or drink coffee from the bed. The pool is large and can fit quite a few people. Since I was there in the middle of the season in August, it's not always easy to find free sun loungers, but I would ask the bar staff and they would bring me a sun lounger. The pool is open until 6 pm. Sun loungers by the pool are free. But on the hotel beach, one sun lounger with an umbrella costs 400 lira. If you take it for 5 days, you get the sixth day for free. That's still an affordable price, but I think that sun loungers on the beach from the hotel should be free. I travel all over the world and I've never had to pay for a sun lounger in a hotel/resort I've stayed at. Also, drinks at dinner are charged, from plain water onwards, and that's a big minus for me. I also didn't like that the safe is charged 4 euros per day, and beach towels are 2 euros. All of that should be free. As for the food: breakfast should be improved, while dinner is excellent, there is a lot to choose from, from sweets, desserts, fruit to cooked and baked food, and it's really delicious. I definitely recommend taking half board. Breakfast is served until 10:30, but since I like to sleep in later, I didn't go many times. It would be good to extend breakfast until at least 11 am for those of us who like to sleep in later. Those half hours are very important. Dinner is from 18:30-20:30. Prices for overnight stays vary on individual apps. I found a good deal on Trip.com and paid around 92 euros for a night in a room with a sea view, with breakfast and dinner included. In the afternoon (4-5pm) and in the evening (9 and 10pm) there is happy hour and for the price of one cocktail (500 to 600 lira) you get two. The guy who makes the cocktails is friendly. In the evening there is a small party and live music or karaoke at the pool. But nothing spectacular. There are two small elevators in the hotel and they are always busy and full of people. The elevators should be deodorized because a large number of people pass through daily and there is an unpleasant smell. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The reception could provide more information about the Havaist bus that goes to GZP airport. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, but it is not the stop where the bus to the airport stops, although the reception told me that it stops there. The starting stop is about a kilometer away from the hotel and is called Otogar. When I asked if they knew the schedule of the bus to the airport, the reception told me to look it up on the internet. And it is difficult to find that information there. Otherwise, it is easy to find the Havaist bus from the GZP airport itself to the hotel, which will take you to Alanya in about an hour and 370 lira.

This hotel offers one of the best sand beach and cuisine in Alanya-Antalya region with high Price/Quality level. Shore smooth and suitable for little kids. For us this is a major requirements and this hotel got 10/10 here. Rooms has a standard quality for most long-term stable turkish resorts. Hotel's staff and entertainments are also on high level. Guests are mostly from EU. Everything was fine! Recommended

Very clean and spacious rooms. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially Artur. Perfect location, great beach. The entertainment program could be improved, the Shamans on Wednesdays were really great, 5+, but the rest was so-so, but still we could see that the staff was trying hard to entertain. The food is in general tasty, however perhaps a bit too much emphasis on stewed dishes, the current offering is quite healthy while personally I would prefer more grilled dishes, but it's more of a personal preference. In my opinion the Turkish night dishes were the best, significantly better than all other days, I would suggest more of that. Great deserts as well, really enjoyed them. Filter coffee was good, coffee machine coffee was not, please look into it. And as a certified night owl, breakfast, the tastiest meal of the day, ending at 10.30 is way too early. ;) Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again. Thanks for the great vacation.

Days of Wyndham super ! It was really nice to stay there for the whole two months. I really enjoyed it. The rooms are spacious, the bed mattresses are comfortable. The balcony is really big! Restaurant where you can get breakfast is nice and stylish . Breakfasts were delicious 😋 I enjoyed that it is located on the second floor of shopping centre. Everything you need is just one step away. Grocery stores, pharmacies, clothing and cosmetics stores. Thank you ! I highly recommend this place for a vacation for everyone!

”Hello everyone! I came here for business purposes and I am generally satisfied with my stay. There are no disturbing noises, which is a big plus. Speaking as someone from abroad, I can say it's a great place to stay with spacious rooms (and the fact that I didn't have any internet issues was perfect! 😄). It is especially a perfect fit for nuclear families looking to have a nice time at a truly affordable price. Overall, I can say I liked it and I highly recommend it.”

We stopped here for one night. The pool was great after a long exhausting hot drive but unfortunately there was cat faeces on the fake grass on one side of the pool. When we let the reception know it was cleaned immediately. The location was great. Not far from the main ***** by sea. I shared a room with my mom and in the whole room there was only 1 out of 3 plug sockets in working order. The bathroom shower hole was on the other side of glass. Therefore making the whole bathroom floor flooded. There was a hole in the ceiling of bathroom. The air conditioning works but even on minimum setting was too cold so am thinking it's too big and powerful for the room size. The shower door literally had no door so water spilled everywhere. In the breakfast room the stand alone air conditioner was broken which made it unbearabley hot to eat. It would have been nice to eat outside but there was no shade whatsoever. All the staff were polite and tried to help wherever they could. With a few adjustments and a bit more spending from the owner/manager, this place could be perfect for a decent few days stay. I would definitely stay here again if these problems were fixed.

For the money ($100 for five) it's great. There are 2 small slides in the pool. The food is an acquired taste. There is a private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. Ask for a room with windows facing the courtyard, there is a cafe next to the hotel where there was howling to the sound of a tambourine until one in the morning! The staff can't do anything about it, they say that the law supposedly allows it. But they offered to change the room
