This very sad hotel stuck in the 90’s was very disappointing . The hotel staff were friendly, but one couldn’t tell the staff from guests apart, because they didn’t wear a uniform or have name badges on. The room was very dark. Dark old rug, very dark wooden closets that were way to large for the room. That dark furniture had seen better days and the bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom a nightmare. The shower was old and dingy, black spots of mold between the grout. The soap dispenser was over 1 meter away from the sink. Very nerve racking. The breakfast buffet was somewhat disappointing. There was almost everything available, but the long lines at the 1 coffee maker wasn’t an ideal situation. After 1 week , I was happy to leave.

I had a single room but I enjoyed the advantages of the hostel - well equipped kitchen with refrigerator, everything very thoughtful, young, urban atmosphere, lounge and smoking balcony have great quality of stay and the facilities are In general, very tasty and worthy, to the bathroom. My room would have been nothing for noise sensitive, but there are certainly others. The situation could not be better, almost at the market, walking to the main station, supermarket and bakers around the corner. I'll be sure to come back!

This place is a joke. First, try to find it. Signage is less than minimal. Hopefully, you can figure it out with others who already have or who are also searching for the place. Next, take a nondescript elevator to the 6th floor. If you come after the sun goes down, note that the lobby with the elevator is quick dark, very poorly lit. Get off the 6th floor and turn right. If you come at check in time, be prepared for the line of over a dozen others waiting to check in. They will not check in anyone before three. Nope. Won’t do it. After a half hour, we were directed to our room on the third floor, right above the intersection. Great view from a large window facing the university and Old Town directly to the west, but ah, these are the two big problems. First, the noise of trams, trucks, and then every ambulance in the city must be required to pass through this intersection! Second, summer heat makes the room an oven. One window will open a bit, maybe 10 cm, but don’t get your hopes up for much natural air. We figured the noise would eventually die down, but it didn’t, especially ambulances on a Saturday night. So eventually we closed the window and curtains. That helped contain the noise but then the heat hit us. We failed to find much sleep in our sweat. Ah, but the air conditioner! Try as we might, we failed to get the A/C to work, nor any fan for ventilation! About daylight, we finally slept, only to miss our planned Bach Festival event that morning. Groggily, we tried to get to the reception desk to discuss this issue, but, mind you, the elevator up to the reception does not stop at the third floor. Only down. So this senior citizen had to take the first of four climbs up those stairs to reception on the 6th floor. I asked for a refund for the second scheduled night. It was refused. “We can’t do that. Only Expedia can. You need to call them.” Also, “You can’t get air conditioning in your room because there is none. Hotels in Germany don’t have air conditioning.” And portable fans are not provided either apparently. I called Expedia. They said that, of course, the hotel can refund the payment for the night. Expedia called the hotel. Then spoke with me I returned up the four flights of steps to get my refund. Nope. They refused to refund. But they did provide another room that did not face the street. Ok. We took it. They even provided a bottle of wine, and we slept well that second night. The next morning at check out, the manager asked why we hadn’t turned on the air conditioning…and of course, Germany has air conditioning. And no, the hotel would not be able to refund an unused night as requested. We loved Leipzig! But beware of this joke of a place.

Great location and very comfortable hotel, ideal for a stay in the beautiful city of Leipzig. Rooms were large, light and airy, with excellent coffee machine, large shower room and separate wc. Staff were very friendly and facilities were ideal. A minute from the stunning train station and a few moments walk to the main shopping area and a large selection of bars and restaurants. This hotel comes highly recommended for an enjoyable and hassle free stay. Although we didn’t have breakfast, it looked great.

We were staying in this hotel for a company celebration. The hotel is averagely equipped and a little older. This is obtained individually with room equipment with or above all in the public area of the hotel. The river is very dark and habitual. However, this is not a shortcoming, just a remark that could soon be made to be renovated. All has worked smoothly, only something has come into the years. The staff is super nice and very competent. The rooms are very clean.

Whilst our studio apartment was a little smaller than we had expected, it was very-well kitted out, and gave an interesting view on the historic Wende mural across the street. Although served in a rather cramped ground floor area, the breakfast buffet was impressive and got us off to the right start for seeing the city: central Leipzig is compact, architecturally fascinating and full of life. Highly recommended all round.

Great value for money. Needed a hotel for a quick stopover along the autobahn and ended up choosing Campanile airport hotel. Really happy with our choice; clean rooms with bunk beds for the kids and a great breakfast for a great price. Convenient parking as well to a subsidized price for hotel guests. Location is a bit off, but if you’re looking for an airport hotel or a hotel along the autobahn look no further. Note that they don’t have a restaurant so make sure you bring food with you, or eat in advance - options at the airport is limited and very expensive.

Hotel is beside the train station, very convenient with shops and restaurants within the station. Check-in process was slow even though I have completed my online check-in 1 day in advance using the link provided, staff had some difficult time locating my booking. Other than that, the experience is flawless with comfortable room, strong shower, good wifi and decent breakfast for a budget hotel. Overall this is a very value for money stay.

The Bad The central reservations staff. It is becoming more and more common that central reservations do not do their job across a number of chain hotels and here they badly let down their hotel team and ourselves with our group visit. Tardy if ever replies to emails, sneaky hidden small print in contracts stating that rooms would only be serviced every other day! Why would anyone accept this? It's a false economy that can only resuly in customer dissatisfaction. It is bad enough for us to reconsider whether we would use this hotel again. This is such a shame as the hotel is really good. Middle management should give equal attention to client satisfaction as they do to cost savings and learn to reply to enquiries promptly. The reception staff are variable: some are great and efficient others are scruffy and careless. If you are going to issue them with a uniform, make sure that they wear it smartly and represent the hotel well. There is no car parking (but it is in central Leipzig) and coach parking is problematical. The Good Recently refurbished to a good standard Good sized rooms Great breakfast Great location. I would have loved to have given this hotel four stars but can not because of central reservations. Still they can be proud that they saved some money on not servicing client rooms. It is very frustrating to see what should be a fantastic hotel spoiled by offsite people who do not care
