Terrible experience I wouldn’t recommend spending the night here

Although I was mentally prepared, I still didn't expect it to be so bad. The environment was poor, the hygiene was poor, there was a strange smell in the corridor, the facilities were old, but I was mentally prepared. The staff on the ship were lazy and had no sense of service. There was an additional parking fee of US$30/ God, in short, just don’t go. Don’t go. I’d rather book a hotel nearby and spend an hour visiting. Really, one hour is enough. Don’t stay on the boat.

We stayed here for the Cali Vibes Music Festival so all hotels in the area were a lot pricier than usual. I don't think this is a place you stay for more than one night. It's more of an adventure experience so see what it feels like to sleep on a ship that's over 100 years old. That being said, there's no heat and air, the walls are paper thin (we could hear every word of the conversation next door), bathrooms are cramped and water barely trickles out of the shower, there aren't many lights throughout the room and lastly there's very limited amenities/services in the hotel. On the positive side, everyone who works there was lovely and super friendly and the bed was very comfortable. It was a neat experience for one night but I wouldn't do an extended stay like we did for three nights.

The mattress felt like it was straight out of the 1930s. There was no AC in our room. It was Feb when we stayed and it was still too hot to sleep.

We had no water pressure in our room. Water would trickle out of shower faucet and sink. Took a hour to try and shower. Remote for tv wouldn’t work. It rained our last day of stay, water was leaking in room from closed windows. The rooms are expensive, which would be okay if you could shower and watch tv. When I told the front desk, the best they could do to make it right was credit 1 nights worth of parking pass. I understood that it’s old ship and things break and need repairs. But they should have given a discounted price for the room.

Love the Queen Mary and walking around exploring everything. It’s so beautiful! The rooms are very nice, a little quirky, but that’s to be expected. That gives it character.

It was beautiful and had a lot of great history to walk around and see. Staff in bar were great and knowledgeable. It was great to lay our heads in a part of history. It was very convenient to catching our cruise ship! However we ate supper at the promenade Restaurant had the clam chowder which was good, had glasses of water and waitress said let me take that nasty water away and bring you bottled she did and we were charged 6 dollars a bottle on bill. It was also so cold in the dining room that we were freezing and when our food arrived it became cold super fast. My Eggplant manicotti became cold and tough! My husband had fish and chips and was cold quickly. Our room was cold and had to ask for extra blankets as there is no heat or ac in the room, the front desk says the engineers control the heat but it is a stationary ship!
