The room's cleanliness was acceptable, but a long-legged insect crawled into the room from the hallway. The location is great, very close to Melrose, but the facilities are quite basic, making it more suitable for solo travelers. The shared space has a nice atmosphere and the garden is beautiful.

Great location, but hospitality needs improvement Short Stories Hotel is in a great location, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. However, the hospitality and amenities were disappointing. There was no luggage assistance or butler service, and even basic amenities such as slippers were not provided. The elevator was also outdated and very slow. Most of the staff did not seem welcoming. They rarely smiled and did not appear happy to assist guests. The exception was the gentleman working the night shift, who was friendly and accommodating. Overall, the location is excellent, but the service and amenities need significant improvement to make the stay feel more comfortable and welcoming.

Overall we had a nice stay!!  The location is great, walking steamboat to a lot of different ammenities The Farmers Market and The Grove especially…. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly.  Nobreakfast option are e hotel itself and a mediocre coffee station in the mornings.

The location is incredibly convenient, with The Grove, Farmers Market, and Trader Joe's all nearby. The room was comfortable too, and the valet staff were very friendly. It's a great place to stay when visiting LA.

Great hotel, loved the designer books in the room, there's a stylish bar with delicious cocktails, a supermarket nearby and close to all the attractions
