Beautiful hotel. Perfect location. The staff were very professional and extremely helpful. We stayed in room 210 with a terrace and amazing view over the sassi. Well worth the cost. Breakfast was more than sufficient with very friendly staff. Our stay included dinner in the restaurant. It was amazing. Fabulous flavours, presentation and service. We had a car and the hotel has a parking lot outside the old town. If you park there, park in the big area to the left of the building where the hotel shuttle picks you up. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely anniversary stay in Matera Sassi. Many thanks to all the staff at Palazzo Gattini for making it such a pleasurable stay. We chose Palazzo Gattini as its where James Bond (Daniel Craig) stayed whilst filming No Time To Die and we weren’t disappointed. Kind regards.

Hotel is very well located within the historic district facing on the same plaza as the Duomo (get ready for many, many staircases throughout the area). Parking (which is free) is at a sister property outside the historic area, a good 10-15 minute ride via an on-demand shuttle van. Our room, a jr. suite, had an older vibe - stone walls, older furniture but was clean and had operable windows with a view. We dined one night in the upscale hotel restaurant - food was good if not memorable. The breakfast buffet was typical of hotels of similar quality. Staff was helpful in answering questions and helping us design a walking route. Outside bar was closed during our early November visit. A good choice for a Matera visit.

The service and professionalism of the staff at Palazzo Gattini is extraordinary. Also the facility is beautiful, just the perfect place to complement the stay at Matera. I would definetly recommend to stay at Palazzo Gattini.

Highly recommend this hotel. Flawless service and a great location. Well worth the cost and a memorable experience. Everything was impeccable and a perfect escape from the stresses of a busy life. Matera is unique and this hotel is the best there is.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful Matera. We stayed one night at the Palazzo Gattini & should have stayed two nights (lots to experience in Matera/felt we just got a taste). The team was truly lovely and helpful. Our room was exquisite with a terrace overlooking the Sassi. A wonderful hotel within an incredible city.

Grand hotel, super beautiful and keeping with the old town feel of Matera. Great staff and very clean. Our room was large with a fantastic view of the Sassi. Location is great for walking to restaurants and shops.

I found Palazzo Gattini when searching information about Matera. One of my best finds. The hotel is situated at the top of the city across from the Cathedral in Piazza Duomo. The hotel itself is beautiful. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Should I be fortunate to visit Matera again there is no where else I would consider staying.
