Booked their newer room which is located at a separate building just behind the check in building. Room feels more like 30 square meters. Very comfortable bed. Do note that shower area has no door. Potty is located in a separate toilet just next to the main door (see photos). Love their buffet spread too!

Excellent hotel with nice, modern rooms and nice staff. Buffet breakfast was really good too. Although I was a bit worried that my check-in time was very delayed as my flight was delayed, I was still able to check in late at night after 11pm. And leaving luggage with the hotel to wander around town after check-out time was easy. I would definitely come again if I'm in the area again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Equipment for use. There was no frog washing, except the floor towel, which I had to use to dry. A switch cover next to the head at bed missed The shower holder on the bar in the shower is half defect.

Stayed here after several years - to avoid taking taxis during the pandemic. The location is fantastic - in the center of everything including the main rail station, the downtown closeby and across the lake. Breakfast variety was fantastic with the pandemic and the rooms are very clean. My only gripe is the internet is from the 90's - very challenging speeds. Overall, the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful and it's a gem of a hotel to explore Bodensee region.

The Buchhorn Hof is almost a institution in Friedrichshafen and the bar is a popular contact point for the city. After the order of a whiskey sour was accepted friendly, although it is not on the map, we were unfortunately completely unsupplied because much too acidic drink was served. After a brief conversation with the barkeeper and a attempt to save the drink, two colleagues took off our drinks and (this time after a recipe) prepared a new round that tasted much better! Therefore, a great praise at this point: friendly and competent the two ladies have saved our evening. Thank you very much for it!
