A Posada Hotel is great. Reminiscent of the old inn sales mentioned in "Don Quixote". The only downside is that the pipe sometimes emits sounds and smells...but the surrounding environment and the tranquility it feels far more than make up for it.

Sadly the hotel, even though a three star hotel, does not appear to be very friendly and every time we asked for help or information we felt we were being a nuisance. I felt I had to keep on apologising for taking the gentleman away from his other duties. I was speaking in Spanish to him. Yes it is extremely convenient for travellers just wanting to break their journey. Hotel is a little tired and could do with some TLC and unfortunately the bathroom was not brilliantly clean. Dinner is not served until 9.00 pm which is not really good for travellers like us after a very long drive. A posada has so much potential but sadly it doesn’t appear to be recognised by the existing management

Requested a ground floor room as my wife can not climb stairs. Given a 1st floor room no ground floor available.
Once I got my wife upstairs she was stuck there

I'll start with the positives: very big room and the staff I encountered was friendly. I stayed in a twin room on the ground floor. There was furniture and spare beds all over the hallway going towards the room. As I entered, there were humidity stains on the wall. The paint was all chipped. There was a leak stain in the bathroom's ceiling and a used shower gel pouch in the shower, and the bath was chipped and stained. There was a small fridge in the room where I attempted to put a bottle of water bit upon opening it, it was all mouldy and stained. I'd certainly not be recommending this hotel to anybody.

Hotel muy acogedor y con el encanto de un hotel casona rural manchega en el que disfrutar y descansar en su visita por el bonito pueblo de Tembleque el cual te invita a pasear y conocer sus muchos rincones entre los que destaca su plaza mayor e iglesia
