Everything is wonderful, we were welcomed with a cocktail, service at all levels continued with a smile, cleanliness in the rooms and the parks outside, we were pleasantly surprised that we were accommodated in a room with three normal beds, not a double, as we had booked... Different outdoor activities during the day, when the weather allowed it, and finally at the bright holiday and it itself smiled too... Great stay at the hotel!

We booked our trip very last minute so were slightly nervous on arrival. Short transfer from the airport was a good start. Check in at hotel was swift and efficient. Our room allocation was pretty dire with a first floor view into a green roof (see photo). We attempted to change rooms immediately but were told we had to wait until the following day to ask the hotel manager. The following morning we were shown around a 7th floor, sea facing view room with a view that was breathtaking. We were charged an additional 400 lev which worked out about £178 for 10 night. The view was worth every penny. The hotel is spotless and cleaning of communal areas is constant. Food is varied and well supplied and all inclusive wine was actually very good. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the beach and only a 20 min walk into Old Nessebar which is just wonderful. The sea taxi is great fun for a treat. As others have commented never go for the first Taxi quote. We paid 20 lev for 7 of us which was very reasonable. Probably our only criticism would be the queues at certain areas. The pizzas looked really good but the queue was consistently long. The panini bar was similar with pretty slow service. This was also the case in the lobby bar in the evenings. Low floor rooms are a no go in this hotel. Room at the back are ok but need to be 6th floor upwards to look onwards to Sunny Beach.

We stayed 7 nights at Sol Nessebar Palace, as a family with 2 kids, 14 and 7. The overall experience was good, although we encountared also an unpleasant situation which i will detail below. Room: Spacious and clean. It is not a modern set up, but the furniture is in good condition. Being clean and spacious was ok for us. Bathroom: Spacious and enough for our needs. Property: 3 hotels on the property, this being the 5 stars one, the other 2 are 4 stars. Each have an external main pool. The pool at the Palace was bigger, clean, with nice sun beds. A lot of big trees around, providing a nice natural shadow. The gardens are well maintained. Aquapark and kids pool: Few good water slides for all ages. Kids pool is also nice. Beach: For Palace guests, there is a separate beach with nice sun beds, fine sand and umbrellas. I liked the vibe of this beach, as it had a wilde feeling, which was cool. We went there every day in the afrernoons. Restaurant: Main restaurant-simple and clean. Food: the food was good, they tried to mix adding every day different type of fish, turkey, pork, beef, chicken, even lamb one day. Many salads, cheese and other apperitives. Desserts: variety of cakes, ice cream, mix of seasonal fruits. Drinks: tap soda, tap wine, water. Not our type of drinks, so we avoided them. Coffee: ok, not great. Nescaffe coffee has sugar added and can be felt by someone not using sugar in their coffee. It did the job though. :) Breakfast: variety of breakfast foods, very good actually: eggs, scrumbled eggs, variety of cheese and vegetables, fruits, pancakes, cereals, etc. Always could find something good. Besides the main restaurant, food was served during the day in other areas as well: pizza, pretzels, paella, etc. Italian restaurant: we wanred to celebrate our daughter birthday but in that day was not available, so we booked for another day. Food was ok, but not much different then the one from main restaurant. This experience can be improved. :) the negative experience: We had an unpleasant interaction in one of the days with the security guy from the parking, who asked me to move the car from one of the 2 spots available, where was no reservation sign. He was mean, rude, intimidating, and i find that behaviour not acceptable in a 5 stars hotel. From my own conclusions, he was tipped by other guests to reserve parking places for them(seen by us in that morning) I adressed this to the hotel, who in my opinion did not handle the situation great from the begining. Only next day, when i went in the quest relations office, i met Umit, who had a kind attitude and offered me a solution to feel better about the entire incident. This was appreciated. Overall, we had a good stay at this resort, which has as main atributes, great location with trees and nice gardens, nice, small and a bit wilde(in a good way) little beach with fine sand, water slides, good food and clean facilities. As the situation above is probably isolated, this resort can be a good

Note: When i booked our family trip to Bulgaria, it was based on the average temp being 23c in May. However what i have learn’t since being here is that May is one of their wettest months and their season doesn’t really start until June. Not the hotels fault but something to consider. Good: The hotel is very good value, we had a spacious apartment room on the 7th floor overlooking both the pool and sea. The beds are also the comfiest i have found in a hotel abroad. The pool area is very spacious with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas, we didn’t have to wake early just to reserve a sun lounger. The food is very nice, we managed to find something we liked every night, they don’t do themed meals they do a selection of everything which worked well for us. The drink selection round the various bars were good and all done through a preset machine so the measures are ideal. In the evenings they offer a variety of professional shows. The hotel has direct access to the beach, they also have a designated area on the beach, this wasn’t open when we came so didn’t get to use, but looked nice enough. Instead we visited Cactus beach (the next beach along from the one the hotel leads to) which had lovely clear sand and still water. Not so Good: The rooms do not have air conditioning they have a very noisy fan system which doesn’t do a huge amount of cooling, with the room we stayed in the fan unit was in the living room area and small bedroom only, the main bedroom didn’t have anything. We found we had to prop the balcony door open to get some cooler air. Being the main hotel with access to the sister hotels we were able to use the other pools but noticed there only seemed to be outdoor toilets in the far corner of the main pool. There are also alot of stalking seagulls around be prepared to lose your food and get pooped on! As we came out of season the other restaurants available were not open so we only had the main restaurant at meals time. At lunch the pool bar only did Pizza and Chips although pizza was very nice. We had 2 days where it rained all day, these felt long as there isn’t a huge amount to do, they have games rooms that get busy in wet weather, an indoor pool which is great but cramped when people take floats in, they also have a shop that done well selling uno! The daytime activity program seemed a bit sp****, i saw them do Archery or rifle shooting on the first day and water aerobics a few days later but not anything else, they didn’t really go around raising awareness on the activity they were doing and gathering people to join. Same with the mini club. The evening entertainment seemed to be on a weekly cycle so if staying for more than a week you will likely see the same shows again. Location: There isn’t a huge amount to do outside of the hotel, and alot of things were still closed during our visit. Old Town and Sunny beach are easy to get to, roughly 30 - 45 minute walk in a fairly straight line, 5 - 10 min taxi journey at 2

Arrived at Sol Nessebar Palace Hotel to friendly welcome from reception. Concierge took cases to our rooms. Rooms 042 and 044 ground floor by pool. Rooms large, with lots of storage, fridge, kettle on request, clean with very comfy beds, very large bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Towels changed daily, beds made and room cleaned by friendly and polite maids. Main restaurant had plenty choice of lovely food options always find something to eat, along with self service of hot and cold drinks. Italian restaurant also had great food freshly made pizza, pasta dishes. The pool bar was great for drinks soft, tea coffe etc and alcoholic also fantastic fresh pizza, chips and hotdogs. Staff always polite and friendly even when very busy. The pool area was kept clean and hosed down daily around sunbeds by hard working staff. Plenty of sunbeds whenever you chose to sit around pool. There was also a lovely large indoor heated pool. Lots of daytime entertainment if you wanted to join in. Evening entertainment was OK even though didn't go each night. There were even midnight snacks available in the games room where there also a small bar. All in all we had a fantastic week at this hotel and would definitely return for longer.

absolutly spoilt by management closing down the restaurents in an half filled sol bay and cramming too many guests into the palace making it dangerous at meal times. They also shut all the outside food outlets in all 3 hotels.Half heartedly opened the Tapas with paper cups and just extended the main restaurent into the american and Italian areas.Of the 12 restaurents within walking distance only 2 open .Had to taxi into Nessabar old town where we had amazing food at such good value. The resort was closing and so should the Sol hotels a good week before. They flooded the hotel with weekend guests.Lobby bar staff brilliant on how they coped

Stayed here for 7 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed my holiday. Reception staff helpful. Bar staff were good especially in Lobby Bar. Food overall good though no fresh omelette making facility ?? Entertainment okay. :Large room cleaned daily stayed in room 618 had lovely sea view and balcony. Really enjoyed private beach area just 2 mins walk from hotel pools. Great paninis served there. Loved Old Town visit too. just 30 mins level walk from hotel. sea taxi back just £4.50 each from old town. Only real criticism being Theme restaurants being Chinese and italian noting to get excited about Basic food .Good value for money all imclusive holiday. Go when kids go back to school as can get sun lounger anywhere anytime of day.
