"Good room, only problem was that there was no separate cubicle for shower. Both toilet and shower was in same place."

The Japandi Loft is unlike any other place to stay in Birmingham. Inspired by the Japandi design philosophy — the meeting point between Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth — this converted loft apartment achieves something genuinely rare: a space that is visually arresting yet deeply restful. The exposed brick walls and vaulted beamed ceilings are the building's original fabric, lovingly retained and now the defining character of the space. Against these raw, textured surfaces, the carefully chosen natural-material furniture, soft linen tones and layered lighting create an atmosphere of calm that is hard to find in a city-centre property. Soak in the freestanding bathtub, watch a film on the projector, or sit quietly in a space that genuinely encourages doing nothing. The garden view adds an unexpected layer of green calm — a rare luxury in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and the apartment has high-speed WiFi, a smart TV alongside the projector, a double bed with quality linen, and everything needed for a memorable stay.
"Lovely place to stay, the owner was very responsive which is great and accommodated a late check out which I totally appreciate! I was originally given the wrong room but once Informed the owner he amended this and apologised. The original room I wanted actually had a broken door panel which he explained but it didn’t bother me to be honest. Loved the bath and the projector - a few things unfortunately that need to be looked into, the bathroom flooded during my shower with the water migrating to the right side which then needed me to physically use whatever I could to get the water towards the shower drain.
The bath, when you’re running it the attached shower continuously also drops water again which I had to get whatever I could to soak up.
There is no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, bath salts would be a lovely touch considering I feel the bath is a real selling point to the room. The cutlery was dirty but it’s ok because I wash anything before I use it.
In the morning workmen whithin the apartment were making the MOST noise, literally in the little terrace just under the apartments windows however the apartment does have supply pair of earbuds which I soon realised was needed.
Either way I will stay again for sure but yeah needs some tweaks which I’m highlighting as constructive feedback. Thanks Gurmukh"
Step into the Gold Bath Studio — a boldly designed boutique retreat in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. This is not a standard city apartment. Rich burgundy walls, deep gold accents and carefully curated ambient lighting create an atmosphere that is intimate, dramatic and completely unlike anything else in Birmingham.
The centrepiece of the studio is the stunning freestanding gold bathtub — a genuine statement piece that transforms an evening in into an experience. Draw a bath, light a candle and let the city outside fade away. The separate walk-in shower, premium bath amenities and plush towels complete what feels closer to a luxury hotel bathroom than a city apartment.
The studio layout is clever and comfortable. A plush double bed sits at the heart of the space, the fully equipped kitchenette handles everything from a morning coffee to a proper meal, and the smart TV and high-speed WiFi are there when you want them. Automated building entry and lockbox access mean you can arrive and leave entirely on your own schedule.
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or simply treating yourself to something special, the Gold Bath Studio delivers an experience that guests remember.
