Top 5-Star Hotels in Ningbo

I’ve had a very great stay in Shangrila Ningbo, both hardware and software are great in this hotel. Staffs are super helpful and I would like to call out Young Yan at concierge service and Owen Tang from CS team. Both of these young men have been providing good service and Young has extended his service to helping with overseas mailing. The service is extraordinary and I will definitely come back to shangri-la when I’m coming to Ningbo again.

Our family, including our two little boys aged 1 and 2, had a lovely break from Ningbo in the mountains at this hotels. The surrounding scenery is peaceful and beautiful and the outdoor pool is fantastic - very large, clean and good for kids. Our room was spacious (though it probably needed a deep clean a little more often - under the bed was a bit dusty!) Overall the hotel is a great place for a short break with young kids. Some areas could do with a facelift (i.e. the shop by reception is empty and has boxes sacked in it) but kids don’t mind this and what they do love is at the hotel - a pool, balance bike riding area, soft play center and an evening petting farm (which was very well done!)

I recently stayed at Nanyuan Hotel during my visit to Ningbo, and I must say, I was impressed. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely bathtub to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a complementary bowl of fruits on arrival, which was a nice touch. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, even offering complementary yogurt during my stay. The breakfast spread was good, although I would have preferred more western food options. Unfortunately, when I visited, they had run out of fried bacon. However, this did not detract from the overall experience. I also appreciated the option of a late check-out, which allowed me to leave after 1 PM. Overall, I would recommend Nanyuan Hotel to anyone visiting Ningbo. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, and the complementary extras were a nice touch. I would definitely consider staying here again, provided the price is right. Apologies about my photos, I remembered to take them only when I was a bout to check out.

Reception staff spoke good English. The breakfast was good quality, with a mix of Western and Chinese items. There was a nice view from the room over the river. This is a real central location so neighbouring streets are busy with lots of restaurants. The metro station is less than 100 metres away.

This is an interesting place as it’s old, contemporary style of an area past, dim lights everywhere, traditional wooden panels alongside huge heigh ceilings. It brings back a time of glamour, reminded me of the Titanic in its former glory. Yet the rooms are crammed, I hit my foot twice on the floor bed corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, english is spoken at reception. Would i stay here again? Probably not, as the darkness of the room, ( windows do open slightly) felt depressing. However great location, cross the river and you are in the mids of the city. Ernst , New Zealand

It was our first time to visit the Grand Hyatt in Ningbo and it was lovely. The resort was beautiful and the room had an amazing lake view. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful and exceeded expectations. Special thanks to Nancy at the front desk, she has been an absoluut delight and has made special arrangements for us. We will definitely return with family very soon.

This is my go-to hotel for my business travel in Ningbo area. It is located at a convenient location, not too far from the train station and the city centre, but also easy to access the outer skirt of the city without getting into rush hour traffic. The hotel is clean and the room is spacious. The included breakfast has lots to choose from. The highlight is definitely the service. Each guest is assigned with a private concierge (or butler). Every small request or question is only a text message away. My private butler 卢蕊 was able to bump me into a better room and higher floor, took care of laundry requests and provided me tips to nearby points of interests. Upon my check out, she prepared a thoughtful gift for my journey. It is always a pleasant stay at Kaiyuan.

I used to live in Ningbo and was familiar with this hotel, being in a central location, as well as its bar where I had had a few enjoyable nights with friends over the years. I was pleased with the overall experience. Check-in and check-out were smooth and courteous (they helped book me a taxi at the end); room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. I visited Ningbo for the 1st time and had a nice time. This property is very well kept, clean and wonderful customer service. Unfortunately they had to close the indoor swimming pool, and that was a bit disappointing as I came prepared to swim, but understandable. Overall, I will be back for sure.Thank you for a good stay! A beautiful place that exceeded my expectations. The kids loved the water playground. The restaurant and the breakfast were of an excellent standard. Staff very kind and helpful (a very competent member of the staff supported our staying communicating in English). I suggest to check the deals in advance because the hot spring -water and inside playground may require an entrance ticket depending on the deal you book. (Entrance 150rmb/person). Hot spring in the evening are peaceful and pleasant. We could also fish and nearby there are nice restaurants options available and very beautiful walk/bicycle rides. Very green environment. The outside swimming pool is relatively small but pleasant. We’ll definitely come back.
