I booked this hotel in a rush, seeing a 4.5 rating on Ctrip.
Environment: First of all, the hotel's location is very convenient, right in the old port, with a view of the pier from the window – the view is okay. Transportation is convenient, very close to the train station. The staff were very warm and attentive, five-star service.
The following is for those who value cleanliness: The hotel's cleanliness was disappointing, which was my top priority for accommodation. The facilities did not match the price and four-star standard. For example, the wall materials in the room clearly needed replacement or renovation; they weren't just old, there was obvious dirt on the walls, which was very unpleasant to see while lying in bed. The hairdryer was heavily dusty. The toilet bowl had a yellowish tinge, making it unusable.
The window faces the harbor, but the curtains offered virtually no light blocking. They were single-layered fabric in very bright colors, waking you up immediately.

Guest UserHotel above expectations, quality price absolutely disproportionate. Almost 4 star service with a very low rate. The staff was really kind and available for every request. The elevator a bit crazy while I was there, in my opinion the mirror reflects on the photocells and continues to reopen the doors. But even if this very prompt in solving the issue. Thanks I hope to return soon

Guest UserWe stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright.
We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue.
The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough.
If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us.
We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

I had a great stay as always at this BnB — check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient. I chose this location because it’s close to the embassy I needed to visit. The receptionist (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) was very helpful and kind. I was unprepared for my appointment, but she went out of her way to help me by finding scissors and glue so I could attach my photo to a document. She even looked for them in the next office! I really appreciated her small but thoughtful gestures. I also stored my bag there and picked it up after my appointment. Although my embassy visit didn’t go well, my experience at the BnB was still excellent thanks to her.

AspieDuring this trip, I was fortunate enough to choose this hotel as my resting place, and it certainly gave me an unforgettable stay.
First of all, the check-in process is extremely convenient. I arrived at the hotel a full two hours ahead of the expected check-in time, but the front desk staff did not the slightest inconvenience or evasion, but in a very warm attitude for me to check in quickly. Secondly, the room itself is large and comfortable to live in, and offers a wide variety of kitchenware and cutlery.
All in all, convenient check-in, warm service, comfortable room, a perfect experience beyond expectations!

The hotel was clean and well-maintained. I had reserved a room with one large bed, but upon arrival, I was given a room with two separate beds. When I raised the issue, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and that a change was not possible.
Aside from that, the room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped as a studio with a kitchenette for cooking. However, it lacked a coffee machine or a water boiler, which would have been appreciated. The location is quite far from the city center, which may not be ideal for everyone. Overall, it's a good stay for those looking for a quiet, functional space. time to check out is strict

The room was perfect, had airconditioning, good bed, clean.
The only thing is that they should regularly check if everything still works fine. Specifically, lamps and items in the bathroom.

TravelereMy GF and I spontanepusly needed a place to sleep during our travels. The best discription would be a hostel styled place with private rooms. Unfortunately its not well isolated and showers/toilets are shared. Hotel permises are gated and secured with an entry code, parling is available at no additional costs. Overall good service for price that is paid

cmhlhlPretty cool, very well located, close to all amenities :)
We had a very good stay, the only downside was that there wasn't a balcony where you could open the windows... other than that, we were satisfied with both the bedding and the staff.
