LLilit AdamianIt is truly a fairy-tale hotel â the rooms feel as if they come straight out of a classic English story. Everything is neat, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making the stay very comfortable.
The location is excellent, perfect for exploring Oxford on foot. The lobby area is especially beautiful â elegant, cozy, and welcoming, setting the tone from the moment you arrive.
Overall, the experience was extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the true charm and atmosphere of Oxford.

GGuest UserWe were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked. Â It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend.. Â Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk. Â Buses went to the city centre and railway station. Â The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff. Â Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area. Â Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.

GGuest UserThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best Iâve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure,temperature and drainage so Iâm not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, itâs seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so youâll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.

CCywRobIt is a very basic place to stay. Although there is space for restaurants, no meals are provided. When I checked in, I happened to meet a doorman and let me enter the room a few hours in advance, but after 10 o'clock in the morning, I urged me to clean the room for the guests at the back. I didnât see any other guests or any other staff during my two nights or three days of my stay! There is a common area downstairs with sofas to sit on but no service either. There are two other very popular hotels tens of meters away from the south and west. I went to their restaurant to eat! Next stay must book them early.

GGuest UserItâs not really a hotel, but more like a B&B with some hotel like features. Moving up the luggage to the room on the top floor was rather inconvenient although the receptionist,Alex, was very helpful. Breakfast was ok, but since there isnât a restaurant in the accommodation, youâll have to drive out to find food beyond breakfast. Besides the receptionist Alex, I didnât quite get a warm feeling when we encountered the hosts, which is unusual given our experience in other cities in the UK so far. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

LLucaExcellent location and services, and the room was very clean. However, thereâs an ongoing construction nearby and will be there until mid 2026. Beds were really comfortable, but the water pressure was a bit low. Breakfast was great.

It is a three-story family remodeled house, with small space, but very clean. It belongs to no one to check in. Before you come, you will send you an email telling you the electronic lock password and the key is placed at the door.
This location is excellent, walking to Oxford University Christian Church is very close, to the town center is also very close.
Oxford has no subway, the place is not big, the whole journey can be walked.
If you have more luggage, take a taxi from Oxford Railway Station to Newton House.

GGuest UserI can't even imagine it. Attic, I, a big man of 158cm, bumped my head 6 times in one night. Who would dare to imagine? It was so violent that I almost broke my cervical vertebrae. According to our country, it must be a single bed, but it is a double bed. It is extremely hot. There is a small electric fan with a tilted head, which sounds like a tractor. It was a lively night. There is no independent bathroom and the two rooms are shared. One, itâs convenient to take a bath, but I donât have enough experience. Iâm sorry.
