It was a very cozy hostel. The mixed share rooms have individual beds instead of bunk beds, so you don't have to disturb someone else's sleep, which is a big plus! The owner is a very calm and kind person, and he starts by giving us a thorough tour of the surrounding area and the hostel. There is a garden and a pool, and the kitchen is equipped with salt, pepper, and oil, and we could drink tea and coffee freely. It was also nice that we didn't have to buy a few condiments just to cook for ourselves for a few nights. The people staying there were friendly, and it's been a while since I've come across such a cozy hostel. I'd like to use it again when I visit Cairns! I really recommend it to everyone!

A nice place to stay with decent rooms and some nice swimming pools and outside spaces. 15 mins easy stroll to the sea/esplanade and 5 mins from central station. I should mention that ‘garden view’ is an exterior view, the ‘swimming pool view’ is the interior and much nicer.

I stayed during my child's spring break. First of all, you should not mistake it for understanding that this is not a hotel, but an apartment. It's a very nice place if you can prepare your own things and buy them as needed. Good access to Cairns shopping centers and major facilities, no problem with rental car parking spaces, the pool is only for guests, so you can use it almost for charter, and you can use the veranda freely. Above all, I liked the owner's friendly greeting and wanted to stay more. We booked from the day before arrival because the flight from Japan was early in the morning, but we were able to tell us how to enter the room in advance by email, so we took a shower and rested and played well from the afternoon I was able to! What I'm glad I brought with me was body soap and soft tissue, and what I wanted was a tephron-processed frying pan? I can't think of anything in particular ... Basically, you can buy anything at the supermarket or the object shop opposite! Have a nice trip!

Useful hostel for those in cairns and wanting to be close to restaurants and a shopping centre. The city itself is not the biggest so it doesn't take very long to walk to the promenade. The rusty market was close by which was nice to visit. The hostel itself was nice enough, with a pool and fully fitted kitchen.

Omg staying at this hostel was equally parts traumatic and entertaining. The best way to describe it is imagine if a problematic 60 year old man opened a hostel with a nightclub underneath, and all the social activities were designed with other problematic 60 year old men in mind. They don't seem to do any sort of gender balancing in the mixed dorm, one girl checked into my room in the middle of the night, because she was put in a mixed dorms with only men over 50. The social activities are old fashioned but not in a good way, I'm talking wet t shirt contests, pole dancing competitions, jelly wrestling. But honestly this hostel gave most of the girls staying here the ick so we ended up having movie nights on the girls floor, going to the market and Esplanade together and to the free gym. I actually had a good time, ironically. The facilities at this hostel are really good to be fair, the dorms were clean, they all had air conditioning and balconies (unfortunately you are not able to control the temperature of the air conditioning or turn it off when it is cold outside), they had large well equipped kitchens, a pool and a free gym. Even the nightclub was a good venue, but the social activities are like something out of the Wolf Of Wall Street. If they are going to be a sleazy venue they could at least hire Magic Mike dancers. But honestly they just need to get a new entertainment manager and this place would be fine. Location is alright, about a twenty minute walk to the Esplanade.

Really had a very good and enjoyable stay at Cairns City Sheridan Motel. Everything's walking distance from the Motel and the service was 10 from reception to cleaner's. They were all very helpful. Thank you, until next time🙏

At the end of November, it hit the beginning of the rainy season, arrived at 4 o'clock in the morning in the rain, arrived at the hotel around 6 o'clock, and if the hotel was closed and I was wondering what to do, I had the stay at the hotel open.　　 The inside of the hotel was clean and very relaxing. Early check-in was also very good, but there were few amenities, and one was solid soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Until 7 days, no towel changes or amenities added ... I thought that Australia had little towel change (to protect water shortage and resources) while thinking that it was mushy in summer. I thought the location was about 10 minutes from the main place, but with the stroller, it was 々 far away. I think it was good to include the correspondence and cleanliness of the hotel people.
