I’ll start by saying we are seasoned travellers, many years of travel in all quality of accommodation, and happy for the basics but this was an awful experience for the price we paid. First of all, this place says it’s a resort and villa, don’t be fooled, it’s an older run down basic semi hotel and rooms. The bathroom was the pits. It looked very old and disgusting, the 3 drains in the floor didn’t drain so when using the toilet, it’s all one room, your feet are in puddles of water, when using the sink your feet are in puddles, there was toilet paper jammed in the roof to block out holes, one roof beam was open to the jungle so critters had easy access, there was no shelf or facility in the bathroom for toiletries unless you wanted to use the wet floor that doesn’t drain, the bathroom window has no privacy or curtain so everyone can you in the shower. The beds are hard as a rock, the air con is as loud as a truck, there were vines growing out of the wall, the balcony was shared and zero privacy. All of this would be fine if it was cheap, but being just after new years it was very expensive and booked out so we had no other option. Even after telling the staff my wife is 5 months pregnant and the floor is very slippery and dangerous they said they were fully booked, of which was not the case as there were empty rooms each night. Terrible experience for the price, some staff tried to help and others had no idea, feels like structural issues as there were rooms empty we are 5 months pregnant yet help was unforthcoming and overall I would highly suggest you stay somewhere else unless this is the only option, Long beach is the most stunning location though. We moved next door for the last night, similar price but a massive difference, clean, helpful staff and much much better. I feel they are taking advantage of the lack of options in a stunning location.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel staff were all amazing and very helpful. They collected us from the pier with our bags and carried them directly to the room, and the same leaving the island. The hotel is all individual tree top cabins. This can be a hike/long walk up a hill to the room depending on which one you stay in. The hotel is located on the beach with a private beach which is lovely. You can walk across the beach for 3 minutes to the main path around Phi Phi. 5 minute walk from the hotel to restaurants/shops. Taking 15 minutes to walk to the pier. Or you can get a tail boat taxi directly from the hotel beach to take you around the island or day trips. The hotel’s breakfast was 5/10. The average buffet style breakfast. The pool bar doesn’t exist when we were there and doesn’t look like it has been open in a long time. The rooms were cleaned everyday. I would not recommend the hotel for young children or people with reduced mobility.

It is very located, 10 minutes from the center of town but without noise. Next to the beach with an outdoor restaurant listening to the waves while you dine. Good quality-price.
The pool, although it seems small in photos, is not. And the villas are wonderful.
I highlight Bas's friendliness, disposition and disposition, you will find him at reception.
They also have a supermarket with very reasonable prices. For me a 10

We were greeted warmly at the reception & got a beautiful pool facing Room with the backdrop of the Sea. The pier is barely 5mins walk and the Hotel had sent a cart with the man holding our placard. The Room was spacious for 3 Pax & was totally comfortable. The location of this Hotel is prime and the food joints & market streets are all walking distance. The breakfast spread is good enough to start your day with… Relax in the pool or just across the pier to take a private tour in the Long Tail Boats. This a must do if you are staying in this Island. You will be surprised to watch the fire shows, music & dance at the beach Parties. This Island has some lovely restaurants with delicious local cuisine and a wide spread platter for Sea Food lovers. Chill with the “Chang Beer” and interesting Cocktails. We stayed for 3 nights and had a memorable time….Our room commanded a picturesque view!! We will definitely be back here. Only improvement required to be done by the Hotel Management is to renovate the bathrooms & fittings as these are dated.

Thank you very much to the boss 🙏🏻 Because I made a mistake in booking on the same day, it was entirely my problem. I booked this hotel without knowing clearly that the hotel was outside Phi Phi Island. Thank you to the boss for his kindness and finally agreeing to cancel the order, and thank you to Trip for their customer service. I will specifically choose this hotel to stay next time🙏🏻

A fantastic little resort where every room is a detached chalet set in palms and green foliage. At night spot lights add to the magical feel of the place. The room is a little on the small side but the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is modern. However... the walls are paper thin and although being detached, you cloud clearly hear the guests next door. The pool area was perfect. The relaxing atmosphere encouraged you to make the list of the swim up bar and the pool food service. The view out to sea was pretty spectacular too. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the main part of the island where you can eat and drink at so many places. Everything was idyllic until the clock struck 8pm! Then you are bombarded with the loudest club music you could ever imagine. This lasts every night until 2am. Why the island can't stop this, I haven't a clue but it certainly spoiled the holiday for us. We were so shocked in the first night, with the windows of our hut literally vibrating that we rebooked our original hotel back on the mainland as we just couldn't bear the noise. However the next day was our first full day at the resort. That was so relaxing and enjoyable, that we decided to bear with the loud music for the next two nights. The reception staff were not that cheerful which was a shame. And we had issues with the aircon and the fridge which was warm. This wasn't really fixed even though we asked and we were charged for ice too which again was a little rich! Would we go back? No. But it was a nice place to stay for a few days up until 8pm!

Nice bungalows with all comforts, nice white beach to relax on with bar for food and drinks, they can organise boat trips and excursions for you at a decent price. Unfortunately I feel like all the famous beaches around which you are supposed to go see are packed with tourists and full of plastic, I think they should take care of the beaches where they send their clients to, our boat trip was nice but we cut it short at one point cause the beaches were too crowded or dirty. We personally picked up 2 full big plastic bags of rubbish while the boat crew set around smoking. Also the lunch boxes were not great. The Ruan Thai restaurant was very nice, book a day in advance though cause it fills up quickly. The spa also is great, very good massages and nice environment. Cute village nearby to walk to for drinks, dinner, cheaper massages and mini markets. All in all nice resort but not an unforgettable experience.

You can’t find a more spectacular location to stay. Our bungalow was number 505 and was on the beach front literally a stones throw to the water edge. The sand is white and water clear just as you see in the photos. Things to bear in mind. Cleanliness was not as good as expected. Under and around our bungalow there were things left behind by previous guests a lot of rubbish, slippers, towels which had been forgotten. The bathroom and shower was outdated and felt old and we didn’t dare use the outside shower as that whole area looked dirty and stained from the wildlife. I had to ask the cleaner one day for a cloth to clean the table outside on the balcony as it was stained from beverages used by guests before us. The breakfast area really was quite gross. I didn’t feel like i was eating in a clean atmosphere. Really basic things like the table cloth on the breakfast bar were stained and tatty. The bar being quite open to the outside had stains from the fauna which seemed to flow in and out at their leisure. Staff were attentive however you never saw anyone cleaning when they weren’t doing anything. Its a pity as it would make the atmosphere much more pleasant. We did encounter some problems with the verandah door not opening and it was resolved immediately. The hotel took full charge of collecting us from our previous hotel in phuket taking us to the ferry port and the boat trip to the island for 1500 baht per person also the trip from the resort by boat to the next hotel in Krabi also for 1700 baht per person. This service is a real benefit because otherwise you have to take several boats and taxis and avoid all the hassle! Also another thing which was fabulous and my highlight of my entire trip to Thailand was the private long boat tour to ko phi phi leh. Not for the visit to Maya beach (however it was included) but for the swimming in the lagoon and snorkeling experience. That was worth every baht! You pay for the boat up to 4 ppl and its 2080 baht for 4 hours. Highly recommended!

Experience further in our gigantic botanic garden on the vast land. A dive center, restaurants and tour services are available on-site. It is also super convenience to arrive at the resort by the ferry and speedboat with "Andaman Wave Master". We are a couple in our 40s from Scotland. This hotel deserves more than 3 stars. The staff are so helpful and we got an upgrade to a superior hut as it was my 40th birthday. This is a very peaceful secluded area of phi phi island and good to enjoy the slower life. The food was delicious. There are only a few bars and restaurants in walking distance and these all stop serving at 10pm. The air conditioning is also not the best in the room as with them being huts it’s like a sauna when you first walk in. Please pack plenty of mosquito repellent as I had so many bites when I stayed here. We came over in the ferry and left our luggage back in our Phuket hotel, I would highly recommend bringing a small bag only here as it’s all boat transport. Apart from the small negatives I would not hesitate in returning to this tranquil hotel. Take a boat trip round the rest of the island. Bring Bahts too as there is no atm in this part. Simply stunning location

GGuest UserDeparting from Phuket, AW's big boat + speedboat takes nearly 3 hours, passing through several scenic spots on Phi Phi Island. If the weather is good, it is pleasant to enjoy the sea breeze along the way.
Email in advance to inform the time to go to the island, and the hotel staff will pick you up after arrival. The service is not bad. The overall environment of the hotel is pristine, and the beach 🏖️ and the sea water are very beautiful. The breakfast is also good, with few varieties but the taste is okay. I also enjoyed the beautiful sunrise 🌅 and the starry sky that cannot be seen in the city 🌃.
There is a rocky beach at the entrance of the natural resort next to it, where you can snorkel. If you swim out, you can see a large school of fish, but because there is no coral, the overall underwater scenery is not good, but it is good to walk from the hotel. It is very close and enough for children.
Go to the right along the beach after leaving the hotel. There is a food stall with delicious food. There are many boat bosses who take the business of snorkeling at sea. Generally, the long-tail boat charters 1600-1800 baht for 4 hours, which is a good price. Because it was my first time to go snorkeling, I chose the hotel's diving center for the sake of being conservative. The Italian guy who received us was very nice. The price was a bit expensive, but it was safe. The black guy who took us out to sea was also very good. He took the children to snorkel and said that they saw Nemo.
The only drawback was that there were too many mosquitoes. Each leg was bitten by at least a dozen bags, which were very itchy, and the skin stress reaction would cause big lumps. I hope the hotel can have a solution here.
GGuest UserMy husband and I booked an Ocean Cliff Villa for 4 nights and everything about this place was wonderful, from start to finish! The room had a beautiful traditional Thai feel about it with exceptional views, and we instantly felt relaxed and happy as soon as we arrived! As keen divers and snorkelers, this area is amazing with such a variety of colorful and interesting marine life, we even used one of the (free) kayak's to explore a nearby beach for more snorkeling. The restaurant served some of the tastiest Thai food we have had, and the cocktails....well what can I say?! Superb and such good value for money. Staff always greet you with a warm welcome and waved us off as we left, nothing is too much trouble and we felt like we were treated as friends from the first moment we stepped foot on the resort. The nature trail through the jungle and up to the viewpoint is well worth it, we did this twice and saw wild monkeys on the 2nd day. We recommend using mosquito spray for the jungle trek which is readily available at the small reception shop if you don't have any already. As a couple, we enjoy quiet, relaxing places (away from hustle and bustle and crowds) where we can connect with nature and this place ticked every box! A highlight was watching the crabs on the beach as we enjoyed our dinner (and a few cocktails) after the sun went down. We loved it so much, we have already reserved another 4 nights next January and are so excited to return! Thank you to all the wonderful team at The Cove :-)
SshesekmatokThis hotel is a short walk from the pier. It is located close to the louder part of Koh Phi Phi, Dalum Beach. Extremely close to slinky's bar. Google maps will take u most of the way, but it misses the last left turn (pic enclosed). The nice girl that work the front desk is over worked, but nice. Got in earlier than the check in time and spent a couple of hours at the pool till my was ready. The rooms are assigned ahead of arrival, so you may get lucky, or not. Pool/Beach towels are available at the front desk. I've picked the cheapest room. It faces nothing much and no view. I advise u to pick the rooms that overlook the pool on the 2nd floor. The room is pretty small, but there's room for everything. Mini fridge, 2 free bottles of water, coffee tea, some amenities for the shower and some reasonably priced snacks. TV is there. Haven't used it, so don't know what's on. There's a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table. Hot water - check! The pool - my favorite spot. Great surroundings for sun bathing. There's a long happy hour for food and drinks. The island itself isn't as cheap as Thailand. Water will cost almost twice as much if it's not the filtered kind. The island is small, at least the part you don't need a boat to get to ☺️ The best way to know it, is to walk around. There's a small market with fruit and vegetables and local stands, bars, restaurants, everything is within a walking distance. There's a 1000 baht deposit at check in. WiFi doesn't work well in the room. Feel free to ask questions and enjoy 🏖️
GGuest UserMy partner and myself spent a few nights on the island at one of the small cottages. Perfect for couples and those having a short stay on the island. They are located about a 10 minute walk from the main area of bars and restaurants, however, at night walking back, its always a peaceful, enjoyable trip from the views. The cottages provide the exact facilities required and were sweet and cosy. Central enough to all the action and has the most gorgeous views!
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our three-night stay at the hotel due to its commanding view of the area, isolation from the main town and arranging private long-tail boats tours. The hotel itself is located a short complimentary (check-in and checkout only) long-tail boat ride away from Ao Ton Sai Pier, which we had to wait a few minutes for after arriving by ferry. Once at the hotel, the staff greeted us and walked us up the several flights of stairs. Luggage is transported up to the hotel on a rail mounted cart. Our two bungalows (Bungalow West Seaview and Grand Seaview) had nice views of the Andaman Sea with lots of windows. The bungalows themselves were rather basic and would align with mid-range to slightly budget hotels. Our room was comfortable, including the bed, with all the features we needed and we enjoyed the bungalow feel with all its windows. I would have a preferred a nicer bathroom, due to the bungalows having a wet shower. The air conditioning was also a little noisy. Overall, I likely would pick the bungalow over a similarly appointed hotel with full bathroom. During our two full days, we hired a private long tail boat for 1,500-2,600 bhat/day (through the hotel). We enjoyed this option as we got to specify our schedule and got to Maya Bay before the tour groups. We also enjoyed snorkeling during our day tour. After the second day tour, I went snorkeling in front of the hotel by Shark Point. On our last morning, I asked the hotel about hiring a long-tail boat to take us to Shark Point and was quoted a 1,500 bhat, which felt really expensive considering it was a few hundred meters from the dock. I tried swimming out to Shark Point again, but the current/tide was too strong at times without flippers. You also need to be careful to avoid stepping on sea urchins. Overall, we would recommend the tours. The hotel itself is situated a 30 minute or so walk from the town center. However, we always took the long-tail boat, which cost 100 bhat/person before dusk and 150 bhat/person after. The hotel was fairly quick about getting long-tail boats to take us into town. However, hiring the long-tail boat by the pier to take us back to hotel was normally slow, as they seemed to wait for other people before departing. On one trip back (after a long wait) the boat left closer to the end of dusk and we got high-centered for a little while, due to the low tide. Typically, we would go into town in the late afternoon for groceries, arrange ferries, etc. and come back to have dinner at hotel next door. During Omicron, the town center was fairly busy near the water front, but away from main street many businesses were closed. I expect they all are open now. I preferred the quieter area surrounding the hotel and would likely choose to stay away from town center even if it meant dealing with expensive long-tail boat trips to town.
GGuest UserThe room was nice, we were a family of five with kids. Spacious room, great view, adequate bathroom. The place itself felt a bit run down and the steps would put a lot of people off staying here. Everything went well, we were no bother to the hotel, didn’t ask for our room cleaned, didn’t complain, were quiet and respectful etc etc. so when we came to check out we were so shocked to find that we were being fined for going over by 20 mins. We know that rules are rules but we also know that there is discretion and common sense. We just cannot understand why a run down hotel like this, that needs all the help it can get is actively letting relatively happy guests go on a bad note!!! A 200baht fine on check out leads to only one thing - a negative review.
GGuest UserThoroughly enjoyed our time at Relax resort. A well run resort with great attention to detail and organization. A smooth service from the collection at Phiphi pier to your bungalow.
Staff are attentive and friendly. Food and drinks have been among the best we have in our few trips to Thailand, both in terms of quality and price.
There is great snorkeling along the reef in front of the hotel and a lovely private beach with natural shade for trees. The resort provides free beach chairs, tables and mats.
CChrisSmithOn the whole as Phi Phi is a small enough place the hotel was well located. Away from all the noise but close enough that everything is quickly and easily accessible.
The staff were all lovely, and always willing to help.
We didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool but many others did and it seemed like a decent pool.
The only shortcomings would be the absence of an iron, although a steamer is available to use at reception it is a little inconvenient. The second would be air conditioning. The AC didn’t work very well and as it was very humid during our stay this was sorely missed. Finally, the shower units could use some attention as in the room we had the shower heads pointed in a direction that soaked the bathroom.
That being said our stay was very pleasant and the friendliness of the staff was key!
GGuest UserNOT FOR FAMILYS OR COUPLES!!! WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND TO YOUNG GROUPS WHO DONT CARE OF THE ROOMS. I stayed here 6 years ago and it was quite a nice place, so I decided to come back with my partner. Upon walking to the hotel, there's a bridge with what I can only describe as a sewer which leads directly to the sea, it turns your stomach before you even enter the resort. We was welcomed by a lady on reception who checked us in. I had wrote to them the day early to ask if a staff member could meet us at the port to help with bags and show us directions to the resort as I forgot the way. They confirmed someone would meet us, I sent them my arrival time and no one showed up. And what a shock, every guest for the next 2 days we're complaining the same at reception. Anyway, onto the room. I had booked a deluxe bungalow (photos attached). It was full of dead bugs, it hadn't been cleaned in months, the bed sheets were stained, and the 'garden view' was a small area full of rubbish. To make it even better, it was on the sewer stream too. A lizard ran into my room when I opened the door, my partner had to remove 3 long centipede things from the room on the first day. The night time the entire bungalow, or shed we should name I, was rattling with the booming music til 4am from the beach, also not advertised... I complained to TRIP.COM who I booked the hotel with, who were also extremely useless in helping me, so I went to the reception and complained to the lady who said, the entire resort is noisy... ??? Why not state on your website it's for young kids who want to get drunk all holiday then??? Anyway, we was DOWNGRADED to a hotel room above the lobby. Exactly the same thing, dirty showers, stained bed sheets, dirty fridge, full of dead spiders. The noise was slightly less as that was the ONLY room with double glazed windows. I managed to stay 3 nights because everywhere else on the island was fully booked. My stay was supposed to be 5 nights. I'm 30 years old, me and my partner live in Magaluf, so we're are FAR from fussy. But this place is beyond a joke. The lady laughed at me when checking out early and didn't even ask why or apologie or offer a refund for my stay. One last thing, I saw a family try check in. The lady had a new born baby and a girl ages around 3/4yrs. There room had been cancelled without knowledge and was stood there for over an hour crying and upset as they had no where to stay. WITH A NEW BORN BABY!!!!!!!! I Think this was resolved but I highly doubt they got any sleep what so ever. If you want your trip to phi phi to be ruined, I advise staying here. If not, check out the opposite side of the island, the hotels are the same price and 10x higher standards.
HHMurrayThe service for this hotel was amazing. Our luggage was collected and taken to the hotel from the port and the manager/lady at reception was so kind, helpful and enthusiastic and made us feel really welcome. The hotel location is a little far despite being a small island and the hill is steep but it didn’t stop us from going out or enjoying phi phi. It made it feel more secluded if that’s what you are after and the view from the pool of the beach was amazing with a few nice quiet bars around, just not near the center. The room itself was quite disappointing, the smell was bad, there was a massive cockroach on its back in the bathroom and when the shower was on the light in the bathroom flickered.
