City Lodge Hotel

This hotel is fine only if you’re a single man with low expectations who doesn’t mind sacrificing cleanliness for a central location. It’s just 30 seconds from numerous girl bars and about 5 minutes from the Night Market and many restaurants. Unfortunately, the décor is outdated and the cleanliness is poor. Breakfast includes one food item and one drink; the hollandaise sauce was split, and the poached eggs were clearly microwaved. The pork noodle soup was decent but nothing memorable. The room hasn’t had a deep clean in a long time. I found a fake fingernail near the wardrobe and a lot of accumulated dust—evidence that housekeeping only performs surface-level cleaning. Would I stay again? No. Would I recommend it? Also no. Is it good value? Not at all. I was misled by a “great deal” on Trip.com, but booking directly would have cost the same. My advice: spend a few more minutes comparing nearby hotels—or spend an extra $5 for a cleaner room, a buffet breakfast, and a swimming pool. It’s worth it.

The room was spacious and the location is good if you love night life, it's just a walking distance to riverside and not far from the central market. The street food around the hotel was great and there's a supermarket just around. It's worth the price, just that it's an old building.
