The aparments are 10 min walk away from main town and 5-6 minutes from the beach. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby for breakfast. Although called an apartment there is no kitchenette to prepare a small meal- just kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Maybe I should have checked what all was included in the kitchenette before booking. We didnt have a great experience the first 2 nights as the AC wasnt cooling in our bedroom and we were prepared to check out instead of ruining our holiday but were offered a different apartment where the AC worked fine. The basement parking is quiet convenient. The cleaning team does a good job as we had flies in our shower (in the second apartment) and they cleaned it well each day. Over all, an ok experience but I wouldnt be rushing to book it again.

thank you for a pleasent stay, upgrande of our room and gluten and lactose free meal supply. Animators Carla and Lauda were our favourite ones and our daughter talk about them even we already returned back to home. For her absolutely fantastic holiday. I can´t also forget to mention the Magic Circus Show and the French protagonists. They makes their job so profesional and makes the people smily and happy. That was absolutely good choice of the hotel managers to choose them !! Fingers up who sign them. From our point of view everything was fine. We stayed here on our first time visit to Crete and it did not disappoint! The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and a few feet from a plethora of restaurants and shops! The hotel is situated in front of the harbor that is buzzing with people and activities. Our room had an amazing sea view! We could not get enough of the gorgeous view! Our room was well-sized and pretty. The hotel staff were very attentive and accommodating. The included breakfast was generous and included traditional Cretan fare with fruits, pastries, eggs, assorted breads, etc., Neo Chora beach is walking distance from the hotel. We spent an enjoyable time on this quiet beach. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

We visited this well run hotel - 19th - 27th September - all the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room 406 was very well appointed and bed very comfortable. Airconditioned which we used when the nights were hot. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel is in a good position, just moments walk to the Old Town, and a 12-15 minute to the nearest beach. Breakfast excellent choices of hot & cold food, with local selection of cakes, savoury and sweet Cretin pies. Local selection of bread and large selection of unusual jams and breakfast spreads. I would like to thank personally Nikos (Food & Beverage Manager)- for his friendship and ensuring that our breakfast meal was being enjoyed. He spoke to us personally each morning and he gave us some good information of places to visit outside Chania. Also I would like to thank - Emmanuella (Front of House- Reception)- again her friendship and she would also talk to us every time we passed the front desk. She again gave us very valuable information of places to visit, and organised taxi's and booked a day-trip by coach and boat. Emmanuella was again very polite, helpful yet professional, and helped make our holiday most memorable. A big thank you also to Necteria (breakfast server)- every morning she spoke to us, and remembered our breakfast order, she was so kind and helpful. We would certainly return to Samaria Hotel, and would recommend without hesitation - we have some lovely memories. Hotel has a good swimming pool,

Historisches Hotel mit traumhafter Lage im venezianischen Hafen. Wir wurden von Eva herzlich empfangen und bekamen viele nette Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt in Chania. Das Hotel hat einen bezaubernden Charme mit herzlichen Menschen. Die Zimmer haben einen ganz besonderen Zauber und das gesamte Hotel ist liebevoll gestaltet. Das Frühstück konnten wir im hauseigenen Café/Weinbar mit Blick auf den Hafen und den Leuchtturm einnehmen. Wir durften aus einer Auswahl an griechischen Köstlichkeiten wählen, angefangen von Joghurt, Honig, frischem Obst, Käse, Oliven, frisch gepresstem Orangensaft .... ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Dankeschön an das gesamte Alcanea-Team. Sollten wir wieder einmal in der Nähe sein ... wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the old town, breakfast is very good, the front desk service is also very good, the room is not big, but the design is very reasonable, there is a balcony, blowing, very comfortable

I had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Chania Flair! After being greeted with a cold towel, glass of champagne and smoked salmon, I knew that my stay would be great. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The a la carte breakfast was great and there was a wide selection of hot and cold options. My room was huge and spotless, and the bed was very comfy. The only con of the room was that it looked over he neighbouring apartment building (so, not a very interesting view from the balcony). The hotel sent a fruit plate and a bottle of wine to the room...they know how to spoil their guests. The beach is right next to the hotel, and the hotel has a dedicated section on the beach (which was great!). Again, staff at the beach and at the Hagen Dazs (which is associated with the hotel) were all great. I used the roof top pool once during my stay, which had great views over the sea. I had a very relaxing stay at the Chania Flair and would absolutely stay here again!
