If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in Ponta Delgada, it‘s worth struggling through the primitive website to come here. We took a bit of a punt on this place because you can‘t really see how it is from their website. But it has lovely rooms (those facing the street are a bit louder since the traffic on the cobblestones makes a difference), excellent breakfast and it is very central. Very helpful and friendly staff. Their other two hotels are probably similarly good.

Dec 24 and 25 there were not open places to eat. The ladies helped us by calling good local Hotel for a reservation. It took e them long time , because most of them were only open for their own guests only. But the succeeded and we got a great meal each day. Thank you !

We went to Casa do Pateo for our honeymoon and it is amazing! The interior looks great, it is super clean and they decorated it all for Christmas. The staff is very friendly. They serve a continental breakfast with many options to choose from. The hotel is located near the harbor in a quiet street, which is perfect for us.

The name of this hotel is quite appropriate as it is indeed charming. The manager upon arrival, Gabriella, was exceptional in assisting with arrangements. Other staff were very friendly and helpful too. Many dining options close by. Located in the heart of the centro city of Ponta Delgada, it is convenient to walk in the neighborhood.

Weve just returned from a week in this accommodation in Room 9 which was amazingly spacious and comfortable. For the price we paid though I think that some of the services need management input and approval: 1. We'd booked and paid for a private airport transfer on arrival but when we met the driver, he said he was waiting for a second couple. Eventually though, he took just us to the accommodation. 2. There were no toilet rolls in the bathroom so I had to go and find some. 3. The large glass dining table surface was not secured to the table legs which I thought was potentially dangerous. 4. The WiFi was incredibly unreliable and kept disconnecting. I lost count of how mant times each day I had to re-connect. 5. In the breakfast room, some of the crockery was chipped and should not have been used. The hot plate/hearing device was unable to keep the pancakes warm. 6. Our veranda was not clean - cigarette but from previous occupant and general debris. This was cleaned when I requested this. 7. The separate lounge was so dark with just a single lightbulb that reading was impossible and it was also difficult to see into the two wardrobes. 8. There was a single bottle of water in the room on arrival but in most places, for two guests, there would have been two and these would be renewed daily. On the positive side, my wife really appreciated the half bottle of Mateus Rose on her birthday. In conclusion we had a fantastic room in a fantastic location which simply needs better management. Overall, I'd recomment this accommodation but hope that Senior Management take these issues into account and resolve them.

Beautiful property, everything was elegantly decorated. The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was just perfect- we enjoyed fresh fruit, delicious baked almond tart, and a local Sao Miguel cheese. All staff were exceptionally gracious. Absolutely charming!

A lovely old house beautifully renovated to retain the old character. The staff were very helpful. We had a very large, comfortable room which was quiet at night. The breakfast was super. They have no parking but there is some street parking just round the corner.

Absolutely beautiful!!! 5 stars! We will be back and our stay will be longer. Highly recommend.

An exceptional couple of days in a truly charming house in the middle of Ponta Delgada. Close to everything you wish for for a city centre, the relaxing atmosphere, delicious seasonal breakfast, captivating smell and luxurious decoration and furniture make it the perfect place to stay. Not to forget the immense gratitude and help from the staff. This place is a must do for a short luxury stay in the Acores!
