"Rating: ★★★★★ I recently stayed at The Moor in Busan, and it was hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had for the price. If you are looking for a super modern, high-end vibe without the typical luxury price tag, this is the spot. Each room has a private indoor pool. The hotel is incredibly spacious and sleek. Our room felt massive and was stocked with a ridiculous amount of fresh towels and high-quality amenities. One of the best perks was the huge spa room—it felt so private and luxurious, and they even provide free access to water while you’re relaxing, which is a thoughtful touch. The pool area is great—perfect for a dip after exploring the city. Everything about the design feels fresh and ”new-age” modern. A place not to be missed The staff here are wonderful. They were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. Don’t skip the breakfast! It’s a simple breakfast sandwich, but it was surprisingly delicious and the perfect ”grab-and-go” or light start to the day before heading out to Gwangalli Beach a few steps away An amazing spot at an amazing price. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Busan!"

"The owner is friendly and goes through the house rules with guests before check-in. (This is thoughtful, but also implies there are many rules.) Eating strong-smelling food is prohibited in the rooms, but there's a dining area for guests. However, it can get noisy if other guests are inconsiderate, making it hard to relax. The hairdryer in the room has weak, cool air and an irritating high-pitched sound. You can't use 110V appliances (transformers are forbidden), but there are two USB charging ports. There's a large TV with YouTube and Netflix, but since you can't eat late-night snacks while watching, I didn't use it much. The room has a small entryway, and you need to close the inner door, otherwise, the sensor light keeps turning on and off. The layout is a bit small; you can barely open two suitcases. There are six lighting zones controlled by both a master panel and a remote. Although there's a full-length mirror, the indoor lighting isn't bright enough for applying makeup. The bathroom isn't a wet/dry separation, and the door opens inwards, requiring a shower curtain to be pulled across. To get fresh towels and bottled water, you need to hang used towels on the door. You also need to inform them in advance if you want room cleaning. Toiletries like toner, lotion, makeup remover, razors, toothbrushes, and paper cups are provided. The view is average; from the eighth floor, you can see the rooftops of buildings opposite. The location is good, with a CU convenience store across the street, and 7-Eleven, a supermarket, Lotte Department Store, Seomyeon Market, and many restaurants nearby. It's about a ten-minute walk to Seomyeon Station, which is quite close. Breakfast was pretty much the same for all three days I stayed. The bananas weren't very tasty, but the tuna salad was good. The lobby has a restroom, a fridge with bottled water, a dining area, and a luggage scale, which is very thoughtful. They even let me store my luggage after check-out (though they're not responsible for its safekeeping). The elevator doesn't require a key card to operate, which raises a slight safety concern."

"The hotel is right in the middle of Gopchang Alley, and the entrance was incredibly hard to find. When I arrived, I honestly thought, 'Oh no, this looks dodgy.' But just as other reviewers mentioned, the owner, an older woman, was so kind, which was a huge relief. The room felt a bit chilly because the ondol (underfloor heating) was off, but when I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately helped. They even suggested using the electric mat under the futon. When I asked for extra water, they gave me plenty, and I even shared some of my huge takeout oden with them... She was incredibly kind, like a favorite aunt! (laughs) Because of its location right in Gopchang Alley, there was noise until late at night, so I kept the TV on. It was great that I could watch YouTube and Netflix in the room – I even watched the BTS comeback there! Step outside and you're surrounded by places to eat and drink, and Gukje Market and Bupyeong Kkangtong Market are right nearby, making it super convenient for shopping. There's also a bus stop very close by, so I could go anywhere easily. The only thing was that the entrance looked a bit like a love hotel... and well, the room did too, if you think about it. (laughs) But for the price, the room was more than spacious enough. All the amenities were provided too. I'd definitely recommend this place for its convenience over a luxurious hotel stay! I could even see Busan Tower from my room, and the illuminations were beautiful."

"This feels like a luxury hotel, but the substance is lacking… 1. **No in-room phone.** If I wanted to call the front desk, I had to use my own phone to find the number in the booklet and dial it. 2. **Low floors are… well.** The 'ocean view' was useless. Some building's water tank and a Holly's coffee shop blocked most of it. I had to crawl on the floor, taking 5,000 photos, to get just one decent shot. So, if you're on a low floor, you'll have to crawl to see the ocean! Okay, maybe this is my fault for not paying more for a higher floor. BUT, the room photos in the introduction made it seem like there was an unobstructed ocean view, which feels like a scam. There weren't many hotel reviews, so I couldn't have known. I feel cheated. 3. **The biggest problem is privacy.** The toilet faces a window, and the jacuzzi and shower are also in front of full-length windows. Since it's a low floor, you can make eye contact with people in the cafe across the street. My bathroom breaks, showers, and jacuzzi use could all be public! I don't know if the windows are meant to be covered, but it felt very awkward. I had to keep the blinds fully down to use the bathroom and jacuzzi, which defeats the purpose of an 'ocean view' and felt very stifling. They told me not to close the jacuzzi window because of humidity, but the shower is right there, and I almost froze showering! Seriously, you'd think they'd put more thought into the design, even beyond the ocean view… 4. **The room is so big, but there are no mirrors anywhere** you’d expect one! Only the bathroom mirror, which made doing makeup and getting dressed in the morning incredibly inconvenient. 5. **I used a barrier-free room, but as an able-bodied person, I didn't feel any consideration for disabled guests.** Even I, a seasoned traveler in my 20s, had trouble distinguishing between the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I almost ran out of hot water in the shower trying to figure it out. The labels are tiny and on the back somewhere, so you have to really search. Couldn't they use dedicated bottles or at least proper labeling? 6. **There's no room service or similar services, but other services are expensive.** Maybe I just couldn't find it, but usually, hotel F&B services are in the in-room booklet, aren't they? There was nothing. Okay, maybe because it's a lower-star hotel, it wouldn't have it. BUT, late check-out extension costs 33,000 won (which isn't cheaper than other luxury hotels). So, the standard doesn't reach luxury hotel levels, but the service fees feel comparable to one. Breakfast also felt similar, so I didn't use it. Considering all of this, if you're just looking for a cost-effective place, it's okay."

"Although the location is outside Busan, it's 30 minutes' drive to Nanpu cave or zagalchi, so it's not bad. There is a park around the hotel where you can walk, and it's better to have pine trees and the sea. It was a bit unfortunate that I couldn't take a walk properly because the time and the weather were not good. The nearby amenities were not too bad. There was also a Park Gane Sundubu restaurant that opened early in the morning, so I was able to solve breakfast. Hotel breakfast seems to be not operating properly. It would be better not to expect. It feels like a half-intelligent and needs people who don't know if they are staff or boss, but they were kind. Anyway, it wasn't bad for the price, so it was a good place to stay overnight."

"I stayed here just a few days before, and chose to stay here yet again after coming back from an excursion to Busan. The self check-in process is smooth even after the check-in counter is closed at late night. Perfect location if you arrive into Seoul train station at midnight, either from Korail or airport train. Even if all metros lines are closed. You can just walk to the guesthouse within 10 mins from Seoul station. During the day, there is a metro station at your doorsteps connecting to Seoul Station in 1 stop. The room is clean and warm. The owner is very friendly."
