It was my 2nd stay at this hotel in Quanzhou, the front house staff were amazing, especially a member of staff called Kyle. Thank you for the human connection. The rooms where nice and clean, I was also given the opportunity to enjoy a late checkout as my flight back to Shanghai was early evening. There is a shipping mail next door to the hotel, it’s perfect. The breakfast selection was good, lots of choices however I was not happy about being placed in a segregated corner in the restaurant on the 5th floor away from the local people because of not being local. For an international hotel I was highly disappointed by this kind of xenophobia treatment. I came across 2 managers at breakfast, 1 was a gentleman and very polite and the other named Jack, speaking in local dialect of which I can understand, thought I came in from Guangzhou, what made him think that?? I’ve lived in Shanghai for many years and from England, it was an automatic assumption that was very unprofessional. I had to tell the manager not to be scared of foreigners. Why should I have to say that in an international hotel. Apart from this bad review, maybe if I was another race, it would of been a smooth business stay at the intercontinental.

The phone went to the front desk and responded quickly. There was a waiter to take a look at another room on the same floor. It should be an upgraded room type. The area is larger and the corner has multiple glass curtain walls, but the taste is the same. I didn't change it. Formaldehyde sensitive physique, return to the room for a while, feel a little swollen face or eyelids, simply open the two windows to the maximum, then pull the curtains, feel a cool breeze blowing down the wall to the pillow, and then set the air conditioner to heat 24 degrees, sleep for one night, fortunately in the morning. The plastic part of the Tmall Elf stereo surface in the room has weathered and has a glue feel on the hands. I originally planned to live in Intercontinental. When I booked, I left more than 2,000 suites. I said that foreign merchants love to live in Intercontinental. There are too many people in the room. I hope it is true. This is good news. I traveled to Quanzhou for the first time, because I made an appointment in the village of Yucai early the next morning, so I booked this hotel 10 minutes drive from the hotel. One of the rooms is not convenient is that the location of the bathroom entrance is relatively narrow, and the mirror headlights are not convenient for makeup. The only bad place in the whole hotel is the location, far from West Street, it takes half an hour to take a taxi, and you can go to Taihe Square, a 10-minute drive nearby at night. There is a night market in Building 18, a snack street, and people sell fireworks and firecrackers. I bought it and put it on the river across the road. It was fun.

A limited amount of cooking was possible but not necessary since the location offered plenty of choices day and night.
