"Our family had a pleasant three-night stay at VOGO Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa from 29 December to 1 January, enjoying the comfortable facilities and beautiful golf course surroundings. Overall, it was a positive experience with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel provides valet parking, which is very convenient, especially when traveling with children and luggage. Most staff we encountered were polite and helpful, although service quality can feel inconsistent at times. One minor disappointment was the check-in experience: the receptionist shook her body in a dismissive way while speaking to us, which did not match the professional standards expected of a five-star hotel. Our room was spacious and generally clean, with the highlight being the lovely golf club view from the window, which made our stay feel relaxing and resort-like. Cleanliness was acceptable, with housekeeping keeping the room in reasonable condition, though not outstanding compared with some other luxury properties. On the first day, the pump of the shower gel dispenser was not working, which was inconvenient after a long day.After we left a note for the hotel on the second morning, the issue was fixed promptly, and the dispenser worked properly for the rest of the stay, showing that the team is responsive once informed. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options including Middle Eastern and international fusion dishes that suited both adults and children. A special thanks to Ms. Getrude at the restaurant: she was very caring toward our child, spoke to her warmly, and even remembered our daughter’s name on the second day, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, this resort offers a relaxing golf-view environment, convenient valet parking, and a good breakfast selection, making it a comfortable choice for families. With some refinement in front-desk attitude and more attention to small in-room maintenance issues, it has the potential to deliver a consistently five-star experience."

"Beautiful hotel, delicious food, beautiful beach with snowy sand, lasurious sea , nothing comparable to the Emirates coast. Comfortable rooms with large beds. Near the hotel building , bear in mind when booking . It is not heard, but the rooms are better to choose with sea view . Thanks to the Russian-speaking administrator Nure who solved all the issues raised during the settlement , the package ”all included” on the site was a full boarding house . Trip made compensation and the hotel with the supplement changed the package conditions."

"I didn’t like the hotel that much. I tried to check out early but they didn’t allow even if I stayed there for 2 nights already out of 5. Some staff is super nice and some is ok. Cleanliness wise - not the cleanest place but not awful either Some food Items during breakfast and dinner were not as fresh but restaurant service staff was super nice and considerate"

"Facilities: The hotel is a small villa complex with no elevator, but it does have a swimming pool, gym, shopping mall, and restaurant. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was quite good; the room was cleaned daily. Environment: The environment was very pleasant. Service: The service was also excellent. Breakfast was delicious!!!"

"This hotel is located within the Etihad Towers complex, famous as a filming location for 'Fast & Furious 7.' It offers stunning views of the eight-star Emirates Palace Hotel and the Presidential Palace, especially from the hotel's 74th-floor observation deck, which provides a beautiful 360-degree panorama of Abu Dhabi. The lobby features a high-ceiling design and live piano music in the evenings, creating an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. The large pool connects directly to the beach, with two or three restaurants conveniently located nearby, adding to the comfort. The guest rooms are situated on higher floors and are quite spacious. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views of the sea and the buildings across the way. The service is warm and meticulous. Staff proactively greet you and are always ready to help with luggage or call a taxi. They truly strive to assist with any request you might have. Walking to the Presidential Palace takes about 15 to 20 minutes, which was very convenient for us, being seniors. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes. Highlights include fresh-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, propolis, and a DIY chocolate skewer station, which was fantastic. The hotel's Italian restaurant serves authentic cuisine. The pizzas, baked fresh in a stone oven, were exceptionally delicious (unaffected by the strong flavors sometimes found in Middle Eastern cuisine). We ended up dining there twice."

"I booked a package that explicitly advertised a room upgrade opportunity. When I noticed that no upgrade had been provided, I asked about it at the front desk. I was immediately told that upgrades were “subject to availability” and it is unavailable... After I pointed out that Abu Dhabi hotels are nowhere near full at the moment, she still said it is nearly full because it's weekend. Well lets check out the 'full occupancy' photos i attached.... :) Only after I firmly pushed back did she reluctantly offer an alternative, a garden-view room. Since I wasn't interested in a garden view, I requested what should have been my original category preference: an unblocked city view. The alternative she eventually offered was a higher-floor, but with a twin room with even more side-facing view. Having no better option, I accepted it and ended up spending my honeymoon in a twin-bed room. If the hotel is unwilling to provide upgrades, then it should stop promoting packages that create expectations in the first place. There were several other shortcomings on the part of the front desk and the guest relations, but I will leave them out of this review. What ultimately saved this stay and turned it into a memorable experience were Umar, who warmly introduced us to the room, and John from the Butler Department, whose kindness and genuine care left a lasting impression. These two gentlemen genuinely understand what true hospitality means and are among the brightest representatives of Emirates Palace. The hotel management should recognize and take good care of them, because they are the people who make guests want to return."

"Very close to the sea, and the facilities were decent. However, the bathroom light was broken, but it was fixed the next day. Facilities: A bit old. Hygiene: Alright. Environment: Excellent. Service: Very good. Free access to the surfing pool, wave pool, and lazy river: Didn't use them, but they looked good."

"Dear Hotel Management， I would like to start by saying that staying at your hotel was generally a pleasant experience, but I feel compelled to share the deeply frustrating and upsetting incident I encountered at your Asian restaurant, Cho Gao. This experience left a very sour taste in my mouth, and I believe it requires your immediate attention. Upon arrival at Cho Gao, the first waitress who served us displayed a level of indifference and rudeness that left us feeling unwelcome. At first, I tried to brush it off, thinking I might be overly sensitive, but when my mother—who doesn’t speak a word of English—expressed that she, too, felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, I knew this wasn’t just my perception. As someone who has lived abroad for over a decade, I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, but what transpired felt more like an intentional disregard for our presence. To add insult to injury, when my mom requested hot water, the waitress initially offered Jasmine tea and Earl Grey instead. I patiently explained that in Chinese culture, we prefer hot water before meals, but the waitress’s response was condescending, as though she couldn’t comprehend this simple request. After insisting we only wanted hot water, we waited for half an hour before it was finally served. I am a pescatarian and asked if the shrimp dumplings contained pork, as it is common in China. The waitress’s response was baffling and dismissive. She couldn’t seem to understand why I was asking such a question and even said, “I don’t understand your language.” This was particularly infuriating given that I’m a journalist and fully capable of communicating clearly in English, despite my accent. Her lack of understanding was not a language barrier—it was sheer indifference and poor service. We arrived at 8 p.m. and didn’t order much, yet we were informed that we would have to wait at least 20 minutes because regulars were being prioritized. While we understood this, the tone with which this was conveyed was rude and unprofessional. We never saw the original waitress again, and the remaining staff members, thankfully, were far more courteous and competent. While the service from the other staff members was better, the damage had already been done. It’s not just about the specific actions of the waitress; it was the overall tone and attitude, which felt dismissive, condescending, and unwelcoming. The fact that my mom, a Chinese tourist who doesn’t speak English, was ignored and treated differently from other guests was a glaring example of cultural insensitivity and, frankly, ******. In my experience, many Chinese tourists—especially those from older generations—are sensitive to how they’re treated abroad. They come from a background where such trips are rare and precious, and they do not deserve to be treated with disdain. The treatment we received was not just disappointing—it was insulting. As someone raised in a culture of respect and tolerance, it is painful to witness the mistreatment of others, particularly our elders. I am not one to exaggerate, but this experience was far from trivial. The waitress’s dismissive tone, the long wait for a simple cup of hot water, and the overall lack of hospitality left a lasting negative impression. Yes, she didn’t outright do anything “wrong,” but the attitude was blatantly off-putting, and it deeply impacted our experience. My mom, who is typically very forgiving, still tried to defend the waitress, teaching me the importance of patience and kindness when traveling. But after all that happened, I’m left asking: How can you expect us to remain calm and tolerant in the face of such disrespect? To be clear, the Cho Gao restaurant experience did not define our stay—this hotel overall was far better than the Grand Hyatt we stayed at earlier. But this incident stands out, and I sincerely hope that you take the time to address these concerns."

"Great hotel with a nice view of the White Mosque. There's a good poolside bar, perfect for spending some quality time. The hotel is convenient for transit flights, located near the International Airport."

"Highly Recommended, Especially for Families with a Special Needs Child We have been visiting this place for several years—staying in both the chalet tent and the villa—and we truly love it. All the staff are consistently kind, respectful, and very accommodating. As a family with a child with special needs, we deeply appreciate being treated equally, without any judgment or discrimination. That level of understanding and genuine care truly means so much to us. From reception check-in to check-out, the service has always been warm and welcoming. Breakfast was also a wonderful experience. Edward was very attentive and kind, making sure we were comfortable throughout. His thoughtfulness and professionalism made our morning even more enjoyable. A special thank you as well to Resse from Reception for always accommodating our requests during every visit and stay. Your kindness and consistency keep us coming back.
