Very good location, large and comfortable room. What we didn't like was the smell of the bath water. My mattress was very soft.

Let's just say at the beginning.; Scandinavia is expensive. Let that not disguise the disgraceful way in which accommodation is run there. First of all, guesthouses are un-manned. You arrive and call the owners over to check you in. This took nearly 30 minutes!!. The beds are the worst kind of Ikea you can imagine.Take a look at the photos on here. They look uncomfortable and they are. The cheapest linen known to man. Take a look at the breakfast display. Shocking. It is deliberately done to make the most possible profit. The owner boldly admits that he just don't care. 'You can say what you want, I am very much booked all the year round' My booking was 59 Euros. I gave 60. 'we don't give change' he said.. Having said all this, other places in Iceland were pretty much the same. Scandalous!!

It’s like hostel with just beds in the room. We booked the room with private bathroom, that means you received the key from another room with WC and shower. It was not mentioned in the description. Booking was not-refundable. Wi-fi is ok. 10 minutes walking to the center. Parking is available on site, but it's not reserved in advance, so you can be out of free place in the evening; central bus station is 5 minutes walking; no breakfast; no TV; no air conditioner

The place was dirty, holes in the sheets, the slats would not stay on bed and my brother in law even fell through his bed when he sat on the end of it. We had to open the window because one day we went different directions and only had one key, so we left the window open so he could let me know he was back and to let him in. Our cell phones did not work there. Then we opened it because the smell of Sulphur was so bad in our room we needed fresh air. Then in the morning while we were eating breakfast some man came in and yelled at us telling us we left the window open and all his profits were going out of if. He said we had gotten the room cheap and now he made no money. I did not tell us who he was but we think he might have been the owner but I did not introduce himself, so we aren't sure. He was very rude.

Yes, it's cheap. But that really is the only good thing that can be said about this dreary, grim place. The entrance is almost impossible to find, around the back of the building in an overgrown yard. It was dark and appeared abandoned when I arrived, even though I had made a reservation in advance. I had to go elsewhere, have someone telephone, and then return and wait for the receptionist to let me in. The owner/operator is so unfriendly it's almost comical. On the plus side, my room was clean and it was quiet. But under no circumstances would I ever stay there again.

Good location 3 minute walk to bus station.Terrible building not taken care, mildew all around, overgrown weeds, Room very small, not very clean, sheets with holes with a greyish color not white, they look unsanitary. There is nobody to let you in. I arrived with temperature in the 30s with high winds and drizzly rain. I had to ask a guest to let me in. The manager was called by the guest he arrived and gave me the keys to the prepaid room. The cost was $129/night.I can not recommend this awful and expensive guest house.

As always written with regard to the amount paid. Visited for the Iceland v Wales international football match in a twin room with a private bathroom. Ideal for our visit. Room was clean, had a fridge (no TV). Shower room was clean and decent warm powerful shower. Shared kitchen well equipped at end of ground floor corridor. 20 minute walk into the centre and conveniently only 5 minutes from the BSI station for coach airport transfers and sightseeing trips. If you want a room to lounge around in then this isn't for you. If you want a room on a budget to sleep in and be out and about sightseeing then would recommend it.

I stayed here for 3D2N and loved the location! It’s less than a 5 min walk from the BSI bus terminal, which was incredibly helpful as a newly arrived tourist. I didn’t have to worry about getting lost on my first day in the country, and the bus terminal is where all the tour buses pick up and drop off. The Inn is also about a 10 min walk from Hallgrimskirkja church, which serves as a good visual landmark to orient myself as I explored Reykjavík. The room was basic but clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shared kitchen was a treat; I got free coffee and was able to boil water for my ramen. It wasn't always easy to find staff when I needed them, but once I did, they were incredibly helpful. Overall, as a budget-conscious traveller, I found the Travel Inn to be great value for money and truly enjoyed my stay here.

This is a walking false advertisement. It was billed on *********** as an "Inn." An Inn, like a hotel, has staff on site. There's construction going on all around the building but the building itself hasn't gotten a fix for 30+ years. It's faded and unwelcoming from the outside. From the inside -- once oyu get in, of which more later -- the formica counters are chipped, there's little art on the walls, the kitchen is a semi-deconstructed mess, the towels are small and rough, there is only one pillow per bed, there was NO soap or shampoo in the bathroom, no glasses in the room, no outlets by the desk, the beds are very narrow... I could go on. Booking didn't give a real rating, but Tripadvisor did and I wish I'd noticed how low it scored (deservedly so). Getting in was a s**tshow. Only got it because others were there with a code. The e-mail with the code apparently got caught in my spam filter. Had I not printed out the reservation I would not have had the phone number to call to get the guy (again, NOT on site!) to give me the number so we could come and go. Had they not already had my money, I would have left and sunk the cash into a better hotel...

Just back from staying here with partner and 11year old, we had a room with a bathroom, room was clean and beds comfortable, kitchen was shared had fridge cooker, utensils etc, it may seem scruffy to uk standards.but such a good price with parking and bus stop and shops walking distance, perfect on a budget and just want a comfy bed!

Hi Everyone, This is Tanca,We stayed here 1 week beginning of the jan 2023.I think this facility is great.I want to thank to Mr.Paul and from housekeeping the lady. They were very helpful. This guesthouse is very close to center almost 10 minutes by walking ,it is pretty close to bus terminal as well maybe not even 10 minutes. Most probably everyone will get tours from bus hostel area.it is 20 minutes away by walking to that area.it is easy to access.Guesthouse is very clean. You can have it in kitchen whatever you need. There is microwave, coffee machine you can get benefit as free of charge. There are kettles and fridge as well. You will have plates and cups placed in drawers. We got great service according to what we paid for it.We will return to magnificent Iceland for a summer trip in a couple of years and we ll choose this guesthouse again. My only recommodation to workers would be is to update picture of guesthouse because it seems much better in real than how it seems in *********** or tripadvisor etc.see you again

This guesthouse is located just a 2-minute walk from the BSI bus terminal. It is in an excellent location, just over 10 minutes walk from downtown Reykjavik and 5-6 minutes walk from the discount supermarket Bonus. Even though I had a late-night flight and checked in around 1:00, the staff was waiting for me. (Maybe because I emailed them in advance to let them know that I would be arriving late?) Usually, the staff is not there, so you have to call the number posted at the entrance to call the staff. The staff seemed to be used to working late at night, probably because there are many late-night flights and Aurora viewing tourists. The next day, a friendly older staff member was just about to leave, so he gave me a ride to the church. In Iceland, where prices are high, this guesthouse cost about 7,500 yen a night with a shared bathroom, but I think it's similar to a cheap hotel in Japan that costs around 3,000 yen. There were six rooms on the second floor where I stayed, and three of them had private bathrooms, so even if the hotel was full, the shared bathroom was shared by three people, so I didn't run into anyone and it was comfortable. There is a small sink in the room, so you can brush your teeth in your own room. The tap water smells of sulfur, so the shower felt like a hot spring, but I bought drinking water at the store just in case. The only amenities are towels and soap. The front desk lends out hairdryers, but there is only one, so it may be inconvenient. The room seems to have been renovated from a house, so it is a little old, but it was reasonably clean and comfortable. I stayed for three nights, but the towels were not changed or the room was cleaned. The walls are thin, so you can hear the sounds from the hallway, but everyone was well-mannered, so there were no noisy people. The airport is next door, but there are no flights at night, so it is quiet. However, it is noisy during morning check-out time and during daytime flight activity, so earplugs are a must for people who are sensitive to noise.

The property has an excellent location, a few steps from the BSI coach station, where buses to Keflavik airport stop, and above all it is a convenient pick-up point for the many excursions available in Iceland. The structure is nice, the rooms are simple and spartan, but they are equally comfortable and very clean. When we arrived, given the time, there was no one in the structure, so we carried out the automatic check-in ourselves, thanks to the access code sent by the owner. With a walk of about ten minutes you arrive in the lovely historic center of Reykjavik.
