Pleasant little villa just one street away from the bustle of central Ubud. Walkable to downtown Ubud, or can get a grab bike/car. Has two pools, and breakfast is included. Would recommend to stay here again!

This is an aged property but there is service with a smile. Meal service for lunch was a bit slow on the day we used it (about an hour from order to table for all ordered items to be delivered). The free breakfast does have coffee and eggs cooked to order as well. The breakfast does the job. The room was decent though the all white sheets, curtains, and bed canopy may not be the best choice since this property is set back a bit in a wooded area. Do expect the occasional frog croaking at night and bird chirping around sunrise. There is a motorcycle rental across the street and it's about 10 mins (more with traffic) taking a grab taxi into Ubud proper. Free mosquito repellent was provided for outside the room and inside the room as well. 4 glass bottles of water given daily and willingness by the staff to treat you right. AC worked excellently. Overall, decent property and food for the price point, might be time for some renovations to bring the shine back to this potential pearl.

Welcoming, friendly and always willing to help. Location was perfect for me, quiet street with cafes and easy walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The hotel was perfect for me and I especially loved my room, traditional Balinese style. I would recommend and I would definitely go back to Villa Sonia if I come back to Ubud. Our stay in Villa Sonia Ubud was truly amazing! Everything was great: + location: it's very close to the city centre + service: the staff is super nice and helpful + room: big, bright and clean + atmosphere: the hotel area is very quiet which is good for a nice rest. +food: delicious, we had a chance to try well cooked local dishes. We even had a cooking class with a chef that taught us how to make Balinese dishes. We also had a fantastic romantic dinner with beautiful flower decorations. It is a perfect place to celebrate anniversary, birthday or life. If we come back to Ubud we will definitely stay in Villa Sonia Ubud.

I completely enjoyed the villa, so private and gorgeous! The staff were so friendly and kind! I will return!

Very good experience! All you need to do is completely relax. I had the most comfortable sleep in recent years, which lasted for 12 hours.😄😄😄

Their hotel having 2 pools, Feel warmly welcome by their staff and they knew this is my first time to bali to celebrate my honey moon, then they prepare bathtub full of flower, i did enjoyed it very much! Just the place is quiet, and you can enjoy your own sweet time

We had a present stay at Villa Sonia overall, although the place is a bit dated requiring some upgrade everywhere. One thing should pay attention to is about transportation. We booked a car to go to Villa Sonia. However, the driver took us to a different Villa Sonia (Bisma). It was located at a total different place. It took us another 40mins to get back to Villa Sonia Ubud. Just need to be careful about that.
