Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|0.78km from RIMOWA
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

This is a boutique Hotel centrally located. We have been able to walk everywhere during our stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable with everything you would need. They offer continental breakfast in the morning and if you want more than a continental breakfast they have a few other items they offer for sale. They have a nice little patio on the back where guests can enjoy afternoon or evening drinks (byob). We will definitely stay here again if we return to Rome!

On the afternoon of August 20, I booked a room via Booking for 2 nights starting on August 23, and unfortunately, for an accident happened to my son, the next morning I was forced to cancel the booking. As the time limit for free cancellation has expired, I requested the cancellation without penalty, after approval of the facility. The hotel's response should have arrived within 48 hours but never arrived. Booking advised me to send a message or contact the hotel directly. I initially sent a message to the facility explaining what happened, but after a few hours, after not having received a response, I called the facility. The operator told me that he would inform me of the outcome of the request. Since it was not re-contacted, the next morning (day of scheduled departure, August 23) I sent another message, but I did not receive any answer. I called, and the man told me he didn't know anything yet, and he would call me in the first afternoon. After a few days, I checked the credit card extract and I realized that, on the same day of the booking (20 August), I was charged the entire amount of the stay, Although there was written on Booking that no advance payment was required, but I would have paid the whole amount to the facility during the stay. Furthermore, the amount to be paid in case of cancellation was lower than that charged me. I contacted the facility again by telephone to know the outcome of my request for annullation without penalty; the operator told me that the company had decided not to grant me refund. I have thus mentioned the problem of the cancellation rate, other than that charged (the rate included the residence tax and, since I did not stand up and warned in Rome for time, it seemed unsuitable to pay it, I was told that I would be re-contacted to make this figure back. It is unnecessary to say that they have never been heard. So I decided to send a complaint to the structure. The following morning (September 1st) I was called and I was asked for the Iban code to go on with the transfer. It is unnecessary to say that, although I have never stayed in this facility, I disappoint you very much because the behavior of the hotel management (never answer to my messages or a call to communicate the answers) I am not sure that the Commission has been able to make a decision on the introduction of the euro.

Overall a fantastic boutique hotel and I would have given this hotel a 5 star if it wasn't for the street noise. Location: Perfect spot near the Spagna metro station. It is very convenient for walking around many of the main tourists highlights. Room: The room we stayed in (I believe 103) was gorgeous. Tall ceilings and windows that looked out towards Trinita den Monti. The set up was nice, there was lots of space. The bed was large and comfortable. Hotel: This is a small, boutique hotel with only a few rooms. Alessandro went out of his way to check us in and the hotel was very clean. Cons: The main issue I had was the street noise that kept me up/woke me up. The windows are tall and old, so there are gaps that let in a lot of the noise. At various times during the night/early morning you'd hear delivery people or garbage trucks. For me a good night's sleep is most important at a hotel, and I think they could really benefit by upgrading their windows.

The location is fantastic, just on the top of the Spanish Steps, shopping and sightseeing are very convenient. The things in the minibar are free. We booked a room with a terrace that was small but exquisite. If you come from the airport, you must contact the hotel in advance to help you book a pick-up. The pick-up and drop-off machine is 50 Euros; we have to drive our own 65 Euros.

Because of the children, it was the only suite booked, in fact the room was not big, but the best thing was the balcony attached to the room. Sitting on the balcony at night, watching the tourists coming and going on the Spanish steps, quiet time in the morning, quiet, Having breakfast on the balcony watching the neighbor in the next room reading in the small yard to say hello, everything is very beautiful! Just upstairs in the apartment next to the Spanish steps, downstairs is still the blue couplet in the city tax refund point, shopping nest hotel is very suitable. It is not expensive to take a taxi to the termini station, and it is not far from the wish pool! The movement is very good! And the front desk unfortunately did not remember her name. Really very, very warm, thank her very much, to help solve the problem properly. The only problem, the day of the stay is said to be because of the rare high temperature in Italy, the air conditioning work is not strong, very stuffy, and later the front desk helped contact until the room was back. If there is a plot for the Spanish steps Roman holiday, you can consider staying.

We’re just returning from a lovely 4 nights stay at the Hotel Homs Rome. Staff… the staff were all really friendly! Room:.. the room was excellent with a super comfy bed… and excellent sound proof windows deadening any street noise! Breakfast:.. breakfast was more than adequate with a coffee/tea machine, scrambled eggs and bacon + a continental style brekky option available too and a selection of pastries/cakes! There is also a lovely little coffee shop by the reception serving Coffees/tea and numerous cakes with a very friendly barista chap! Location:.. the location was excellent, 5 mins walk from the Spanish Steps, 8 mins walk to the Trevi Fountain… Also just 5 mins walk to Metro 🚇 Spagna Station, where it’s just 15mins to the Coliseum and similar to the Vatican City! My tip:.. pre-book all your tours, don’t leave it to the day as you’ll find yourself standing in crazy long queues! Would we stay at Hotel Homs again?.. Definitely
