Great hotel, very beautiful would stay again, bed was huge and perfect. We didn’t have breakfast included and it was a little pricey to add on that morning.

Parador without a bar, so I had to go to another Parador to have the Amigo welcome drink. Room clean and decent site. BREAKFAST STAFF gave a VERY POOR service indeed. Reception staff experience hit & miss.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic - exceptional service from all staff (especially the front desk), great location and very clean hotel. Surrounded by significant historical buildings. An enriching experience.

As others have said, this is the other part of the Parador and a short walk. I only stayed one night. Easy to find. I am an Amigos, so it was fine. I was a bit disappointed, not by the Parador, but the town. Pretty run down and places for sale. A Camino stop, but when I was there it seemed well heeled walkers, using expensive cars too. I'd use the Parador again and I parked the bike right close to the wall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would recommend it to anybody. The staff were great and being there for the end of the fiesta was a bonus. Cathedral and Clock Tower were both worthy of a visit.

Love every moment of this hotel stay. Inside is like part church part historical landmark, with lots of museum level art work, and one of the comfortable bed and room I've stayed anywhere. Entrance to hotel isn't distinct, but once inside, place is wildly fascinating and staff very friendly. Parking off street is abundant and free, easy walking distance to town center, musical venues, laundromat, and convenient stores. Since town is small, not ideal for long stay, but there numerous cute small villages to explore, including Haro, which is capital to Rioja and home to many restaurants featured in Michelin guide, like Nublo, just 19 minutes away. Spa services available at their affiliated location just 5 mins away. I can't wait to stay here again.

We like to stay in old monastery full of character on the Camino and this fit the bill exactly. A drawback is that you have to walk to the other Santo Domingo parador to eat in the restaurant. However there are so many places to eat out in the town so choice is not an issue. The location is perfect as it is right on the Camino at the end of the town so you feel as if you are getting a head start the next morning after breakfast.

This is one of the first Paradors we have stayed in, it takes some getting used to how the whole thing works. Firstly I would suggest you sign up to the 'Amigos' programme, giving you discount, a free drink on arrival, and free breakfast on your first stay,as well as collecting points. This hotel does not have any private parking, although the on road parking was fine. there is also no restaurant, so we went to the one at the other Parador. there is a fine line between 'quaint' and 'tired', this hotel is somewhere in between. Would stay again when in the area.
