I took a bus nearby and walked to the hotel. I went there using Google MAP, but it was difficult to find the place. I walked for about 7 minutes with a large carry-on bag, but it was very difficult as the roads were bad and there were many stairs. The room was smaller than I expected, and the toilet and shower were open. I booked the jacuzzi looking forward to it, but I couldn't see the view from the jacuzzi. Even though it was cold, the hot water was lukewarm and I couldn't get it in slowly. The friend I went with didn't get in. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices to choose from. On the way back, the staff carried my carrier to the bus stop, which was very helpful. I think the staff were friendly and very nice.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights and was very satisfied. The biggest advantage is the location is good, very close to the center of Ferra Town, but in a small alley, very quiet. Also on the cliff height, the door and window of the room facing the Aegean Sea and the volcanic island, the scenery is very beautiful. (Two photos of the view from the balcony and the window). The hotel is small, only four suites in total, no noisy people from the hotel, and the service is very good. The most beautiful enjoyment of this hotel is breakfast on the small balcony outside the room in the morning, and the breakfast choice is also very rich. Each suite comes with a separate hot, open air whirlpool that other guests may find better to lie in and enjoy, but we're afraid of the sun, so it's not much use. The only downside is that there is no door to the shower in the room and the floor of the bathroom is wet after each shower.

Das Zimmer war leider dauerhaft dunkel, da es kein wirkliches Fenster gab. Vor dem Zimmer gab es einen Tisch, ein Sofa, 2 Stühle. Alles in einem kaputten Zustand. Die Sitzgruppe lag leider auch im Dunkeln hinter den Sträuchern. Im Zimmer gab es eine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit (bis zu 80%). Der Luftentfeuchter lief Tag und Nacht (!) mit entsprechenden Geräuschen. Bei der Ankunft musste ich das gesamte Gepäck die 150m inkl. Treppe selber tragen. Keine Hilfe, nicht einmal eine Sackkarre. Es war nicht möglich auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster die Koffer zu rollen. Bei der Ankunft gab es keine Karte mit örtlichen Hinweisen und Empfehlungen. Wir waren auf uns selbst gestellt. Erst 2 Tage später gab es eine Karte von einem Ortsansässigen Mietverleih. Das Frühstück enthielt abgezählt für 4 Personen: 4 Gläser Orangensaft, 4 Scheiben Käse, 4 Scheiben Wurst, 4 gekochte Eier, 4 mal die gleiche Marmelade und Brot. Auf Nachfrage erhielten wir ein zweites Kännchen Kaffee. Das Frühstück sah schon sehr lieblos aus im Gegensatz zu den Photos auf TripAdvisor. Es gab keine Schatten-spendenden Tuchsegel (wie man sie von den TripAdvisor Photos her kennt). Wir saßen in der prallen Sonne im Hof. Bei der Abreise gab es keinen Late-Checkout. Unsere Koffer standen frei einsehbar im Hof. Wir haben uns die Zeit im benachbarten Restaurant vertrieben und dort auch die Toilette benutzen dürfen. Der Shuttle war entgegen der Absprache vom Hotel nicht vorbereitet. Er wurde erst auf unsere Nachfrage hin gebucht. Bei der Abreise durfte ich die Koffer wieder selber zur Abholstelle schleppen. Der Chef der Unterkunft hat uns dieses Mal wenigstens erlaubt, dafür die hauseigene Sackkarre zu benutzen. Ich empfehle, dieses Hotel nicht zu buchen! Es machte vor Ort einen heruntergekommenen lieblosen Eindruck. Eine hilflose Angestellte, die gegen 16:00 Uhr in den Feierabend gegangen ist. Das, was wir vor Ort erlebt haben, hat nichts mit den Bildern hier auf TripAdvisor zu tun. Bei dem Preis erst recht extrem ärgerlich und unverschämt.

Great little hotel 100m from the caldera, staff are excellent, breakfast was great, room cleaned every day, cannot fault it. Close to all shops and restaurants. Just off the main street. We had a few beers beside the pool, which was cheaper than the pubs and restaurants.

We had to postpone our holidays in Greece between June and July 2020. Among the bookings there was one night at Hotel Asimina, prepaid on booking.com; given the situation, we asked if it was possible to have a reduced penalty or, better, a voucher to spend in the future. The hotel has accepted to cancel the reservation and has paid us 100% of the amount, although we are not obliged to do so ! Excellent service, for the next holiday we will book from them in a quiet way.

We recently returned from our mini honeymoon stay at Caldera Cliff illusion which exceeded our expectations and more. We stayed in a junior cave suite which was clean, comfortable and elegant in style. The main selling point is the terrace which overlooks the caldera and comes with a hot tub, and sunbathing area. Pictures do not do the views justice - it is incredible!! The staff are also amazing. There’s a small team that work at the hotel who are all super friendly, incredibly attentive and helpful. Everyday breakfast would be delivered to our private terrace at our specified time. It was a large banquet - probably enough for 4-6 people and was always delicious. I cannot praise our stay at caldera cliff illusion enough. Highly recommend!!!
