Sao Pedro de Penaferrim Hotels with Breakfast

The conditions of the hotel belong to the standard configuration of IBIS in Europe. It is about 5㎞ away from the main attractions of Sintra. It is perfect for self-driving travel. If you come by train, it is also very convenient to call Uber, 6 euros to reach the entrance of Pena Palace. The water bar downstairs in the hotel is not too comfortable. The hotel has its own underground parking lot.

We (family of 4) stayed at Penha Longa for a long weekend in June 2022, with the idea to discover the Sintra / Cascais region as well as relax and enjoy the multiple restaurants on site. The resort is big and offers a wide range of activities and amenities, such is that every different types of guests can certainly find what they are looking for - families, golfers, groups coming for an event, couples... Certainly we enjoyed our stay at Penha Longa - great choice of restaurants including two Michelin-starred ones (we loved Midori in particular), beautiful grounds perfect for a morning run, great base to do some sightseeing in the region (Sintra, Cascais - we even went to Lisbonne one day), historic monastery buildings for character, outdoor (2 of them) and indoor swimming pools... Special thanks to the concierge team for booking us great restaurant choices when we were out and about sightseeing. Penha Longa was exactly what we were looking for.

The hotel is in the golf resort. It is convenient if you have a car. If you don't have a car, you can go to the train station and take a bus to the sights. The swimming pool is downstairs, and it's very comfortable to have a sit there in the evening. I'd like to recommend it.

There was complete attention to detail. Crisp sheets, nice towels, proper duvet, king bed size, good room size, black out curtains, nice bathroom and walk in shower, very good build quality. Great pool with views. Beautiful fully restored historic building setting. Great breakfast with fresh fruits, fresh juice, great yoghurt, cereals, eggs n bacon, croissant, etc. Parking in premises. Restored chapel turned into lounge. They simply got everything right. Staffed by friendly and helpful people.

The room was clean and tidy and the big bed was very comfortable. The breakfast made by Cristina was very delicious. There is free parking at the door.
