Check that you are getting a room that has been updated many haven't. There were staff shortages whilst we were there ,felt sorry for the acting Manager people were not turning up for interview so wasn't her fault. We were able to join in to an evening of entertainment put on for a coach party so had an enjoyable night If you are elderley quite a walk down to the beach but views from the cliff top seats in front of hotel are very good.

Decent rooms but awful service at meals , we stayed for a weekend and although the entertain, ent was good and the rooms decent enough I have to say the service at meal times was shockingly poor . The food itself was average at best but the young staff stood around with no kind of idea how to serve people and organisation was totally clueless - we were waiting almost an hour for breakfast despite being first in the room and the staff didn’t have assigned tables and seemed oblivious to the complaints . The manager seemed quite stroppy with any complaints too and overall I’m being kind giving this place an average rating . Room itself was fine .

Stayed this weekend Friday to Sunday, the hotel was lovely and the staff were all brilliant. All staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had a really good laugh with the staff, especially Paul (aka Jim Royal) on the day shift, and Dave who worked the night shift. We will definitely stay again. Brilliant

Please ignore any negative reviews. We had a superior room and the view was amazing. The room was clean and had everything you needed..all the staff were friendly and helpful. The bar area has recently been renovated and is modern though maybe a bit expensive..if you want 5 star pay for 5 star this is a good budget hotel

Another great stay at this family run hotel which weve been running our events for the last 8 1/2 years with no complaints whatsoever. However this year was spoilt by constant complaints from a neibour who moved in recently and insisted it was shaking the building. I'm a professional sound engineer and constantly monitor the sound levels for this reason and we have never had complaints from anyone during the time weve been running events here. We're not a rock festival, we are a country music concert type event whereby people sit and listen so dont need to be loud, we even tell people to keep the noise down if they talk during a performance but even if it were a rock type event, it beggars belief that anyone would move into a flat adjoining a venue which provides live entertainment and then contantly complain about the noise. Curiosly, there were plenty of other people staying in the hotel above us who were not part of our group and none of them complained about the level of noise which was kept within legal limits at all times. Other than this we all had a great time at the Delmont and look forward to returning for our next event in December.

We booked a premium room with seaview and weren't disappointed. Room warm, bed comfy, clean, shower hot. Reception staff good, helpful, entertainment good. Breakfast excellent. We will definitely be back.

First off the pros - It is dog friendly which was our main need as we were bringning our 2 old girls with us so it ticked that box. Location was fine too to get to the town centre or the North Bay amenities. Now the bad bits - Got into the room at 3pm and the central heating was on full blast and the room was absolutely baking hot butr went off later in the afternoon and was not on again even through the night or in the morning, surely that should be the other way round?. The bed was obviously really cheap as it was very low to the ground and as soon as i sat on it the slats gave way as the wafer thin mattress could not hold weight, i'm not the smallest of blokes but i would expect a bed to be of a certain standard in a hotel, i reported it and to be fair it was fixed by the time i returned although i didn't chance it and only got on when i was literally falling asleep and tried my hardest not to move, i even put 2 spare pillows under the mattress for extra support. There were scratches all over the paintwork and furniture, the toilet felt like it was going to fall through the floor or crumble, there was what seemed to be a random piece of plastic attaching it to the wall, the basin chipped, the taps were rusty, the hot water was tepid at best including the shower, the carpets were stained, the floor was creaky and uneven and to top it off we had a bag go missing from our room despite staff knowing nothing about it. Clearly there is no care in this place, won't be returning.

I'm not usually good with single beds but a single room was all I needed . I found the bed very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. I am fussy as I work with Environmental Health and although my nature is to always look for defects there was none. The room was basic and had a modern twist . Shower was nice and hot.. Breakfast was next level and I was full for most of the day. Manager and staff very friendly and I would definitley recommend a stay there. Only £29 for the night and a reasonably priced breakfast , can't go wrong.
