After check-in, the room's ambiance, decor, and amenities definitely didn't feel like they belonged to a hotel that had just opened in 2024; the wear and tear were very evident. The AC wasn't central and blew directly, making it uncomfortable. The bedding felt a bit damp, likely due to the mountain air. There was no in-room phone, so contact with staff was exclusively via WeChat. Our family room had an incredibly tiny bathroom, with an even smaller shower stall. The shower drain was clogged, and because it was a hot water tank system, the three of us had to take turns, waiting for the water to reheat between each shower. Bathroom hygiene was notably poor. The kitchen sink was also clogged. A tip for non-locals visiting Songhua Lake: do your own research. Don't rely on hotel staff for information; you'll understand why. Also, if you're traveling with kids or are wary of dogs, be sure to keep your children close in the elevator, as you might encounter large dogs, given the hotel is pet-friendly. As for the positives, the small tea room was nice. The shuttle service was good. Breakfast was decent. The hotel's exterior environment was pleasant."
