H Avenue Hotel Kondae Seongsu Reviews

The overall stay was good, and the location was convenient. However, there were a few downsides — you need to close the bathroom door to avoid an unpleasant smell. Also, the towel I brought from home might have looked similar to the hotel’s and was likely taken by housekeeping by mistake. I asked for help, but received no response, which was disappointing. I hope the hotel pays more attention to guests’ belongings. 整體住宿環境不錯，地點也方便。但有些小缺點：馬桶的位置需要關上門才不會有味道。另外，我自己帶去的毛巾可能因為和飯店毛巾太像而被房務誤收，請飯店協助尋找卻完全沒有回應，讓人有些失望。希望能更重視旅客的物品。

Other than one daytime staff member, the rest of the staff were not friendly. They were very apathetic about their job. We were very disappointed on arrival to discover the pool was under construction. No where on Trip, *********** or Skyscanner was that said. I received no notification from the hotel either. The staff made no attempt to apologise or compensate. The female staff member said it is not their problem. Trip did compensate a little. But I would prefer to know about the pool being unavailable. I would not have book there if not. A side note, if the pool was available, apparently you need to make a special booking to use it. There is also no mention of this on their advertisement. The location was ok. In a walking distance from bars, restaurants, cafes and convenience stores. The room was clean and ok. The bed wasn’t comfortable. The whole hotel is a little rundown. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel due to the very poor service. 

Great hotel, it's clean, in a good location, has a bar/restaurant inside but not included in price. They do give you a discount if you're staying at the hotel, the service is good and everyone is nice. The only thing that made me give it 4 stars is the old sheets they use, they need to buy new ones, the ones in my room look thined out from constant use and wash, they have that old look and loss of color. In this case the white sheets get darker in certain areas where it's thined out. No breakfast but they have lunch and dinner so you can choose if you eat there or somewhere else which is a nice option to have. The food and drinks I had at the restaurant were delicious, overall good hotel stayed 5 nights at a reasonable value.

The rooms were very small and awkward. No room to put your luggage. I had to rearrange everything to be able to find a spot for my luggage. The room was kind of clean, but certain things like the table still had crumbs on it, there was a thick layer of dust on the mini fridge, a few old stains on the sheets. The outlets are also in very incontinent places. Nothing near the bed or nightstand. The bed was very comfortable. Location was okay, walkable distance to some cool areas. I might stay again if no other hotels available in the area, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The room was small, but clean. There were a few bathroom fixtures that needed repair. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. I didn't try the restaurant or bar.

For this price point, the experience was truly awful. We arrived at the hotel close to 11 PM on the first day. Within ten minutes of checking in, I discovered the mattress was unusually soft and saggy – the kind you just sink into and feel trapped. After a long and tiring day of travel, it felt incredibly cruel not to have a comfortable bed to rest on. I've stayed in numerous hotels, both domestically and internationally, and I've honestly never encountered such a mattress in my life. Considering how late it was, I approached the hotel, hoping they could provide an extra duvet – I even suggested I might sleep on the floor. However, my request for a blanket was refused. Adding to these issues were the completely open-plan bathroom design and the stiff, dingy towels (originally white, now almost grey). I desperately wanted to leave immediately. I tried to submit a cancellation request through the Ctrip app, but to no avail. Even the dedicated Ctrip customer service representatives (the 'little sisters') spent half the night repeatedly negotiating with the hotel on my behalf. Unfortunately, the hotel seemed to have decided I was a 'sucker' and flat-out refused to allow a cancellation or provide an extra blanket. Consequently, for the remainder of my stay, I ended up trying to rest on a tiny sofa banquette next to the bed, which I'd estimate was only about 40cm x 90cm. If you have any specific requirements for mattresses, *definitely* avoid this place! I was so utterly enraged that I completely forgot to take any photos.

The location is pretty good, with lots of dining options nearby, and it's quite quiet. The hotel itself is relatively small. While it's a bit far from the subway station, there's a bus stop right outside, making bus travel very convenient. You'll also find many convenience stores and a Starbucks in the vicinity. From the airport, you can take bus 6013 and alight at Konkuk University Station, from where it's just a short walk to the hotel. The same route is convenient for your return journey as well.

This hotel has an issue with cleanliness. Right after checking in, I noticed my nightstand had brown residue caked on. I thoroughly cleaned the stand but still felt gross placing my phone and water bottle on the table that was covered in whatever that stuff was. Also, large fruit flies (after googling a bit, I think they’re called drain flies) woke me up during the night by tickling my body as they crawled all over me 🤢. I wound up staying only two nights before leaving for a cleaner hotel. Also, it’s worth noting that it’s a solid 15-minute walk to the subway station. Not ideal for someone looking for cleanliness or easy subway access

The room is clean. Staffs and receptionists are friendly and supporting. The location is convenient for our Seongsu trip.

One bath towel for 2 person.  Cup in bathroom wasn’t washed. Not so impressed overall.

This hotels location is nice! It’s close to a popular shopping and hangout district in Seoul. The rooms are not the cleanest and be aware that your check in time might be VERY late in the evening.

Good space, clean, great location. Fits the description of the site. Hotel had a restaurant and a rooftop bar. Food eas good and employees were super kind and helpful. The only weird thing was the checking time of 7pm.

It’s a decent hotel, for a reasonable price. It’s quite far away to walk to the subway, around 15-20 mins. There is a bus stop right in front of the main entrance though. Lots of convenience stores nearby, which is convenient. However, some of the rooms smell like cigarettes and smoke, even thought it’s stated that it’s a non smoking room. Luckily, they helped us to change rooms the next day.
