Tourist Hotel
3.6/55 Reviews
Clean and tidy, elegant and comfortable environment, good service attitude
Ramada by Wyndham Shymkent
4.3/522 Reviews
This is my second stay at the hotel. The front desk speaks very good English and a little bit of Chinese, and even remembers me. Due to the lost iPad on the plane, the front desk was very understanding of my nervousness and was always helping me to try to solve the problem.
Promenade Park Hotel
4.2/53 Reviews
In Promenade, several times 4-5 days (command). For Schymkent, a good price-quality option. Of the pluses: convenient location in the heart of the city, more or less pleasant and clean rooms, the room has almost everything for the convenience of the guest, breakfast for choice (but I don't go on them because I don't like breakfast). Of the weight downsides: Wild hearing in rooms, just a little bit! If someone drops a scratch on the other end of the corridor, you will hear it very clearly. And imagine what a hearing if people speak loudly. So, for example, stopping this time after a long, difficult flight on the 2nd floor, the opposite of my room (it turns out) was a staff room. How did I know that? At 9 a.m. I woke up from Takogl Gogota as if I had a company sitting in my room and celebrating the anniversary. It turns out they were drinking tea and chatting there. About the sound of constant skating of wagons and the ringing of dishes at all I'm silent. It's really a nightmare. The hotel does not look very carefully at the staff's behavior, so they behave like a resort here. It has been seen since the first trip.
Orbita Boutique Hotel
5/51 Reviews
The decoration style of the hotel is very good, and the care is shown everywhere. A hotel that looks small on the outside, in fact, it has very complete facilities. There is a restaurant on the first floor, and the front desk and guest rooms on the second floor. The restaurant on the first floor offers delicious meals and local beer🍺. The breakfast has rice, kimchi, omelette, yogurt, etc. It is very hearty. The decoration of the room is also very warm, the bed is comfortable to sleep. TV, air conditioning, and kettle are all available. For dinner, there are buns, Russian red soup, etc., which are more suitable for Chinese tastes. During the few days of staying, you basically enjoy one-to-one service, and the time set for breakfast and dinner will not delay your meal. The owner is Korean and very nice. Nikita, Camila, Merey, Allessya at the front desk are all good. Help call a car, help check information on the computer. There are relatively few Chinese in Shymkent, and the locals are mostly Russian or Kazakh.
Rixos Khadisha Shymkent
4.4/528 Reviews
Although the hotel staff was very professional and courteous (special thanks for Iskandar!), this property disappoints. The rooms could use some sprucing up: the pillows are terrible, there was a smell in the room, and the room was sweltering hot even with the window open (in December!) The spa personnel messed up my appointment and nobody even apologized. The walls between rooms are paper thin and I could hear my neighbors and the TV at 3:00 AM. Although there were numerous reminders to wear a mask, none of the hotel employees did and very few of the guests... The location is good and Shymkent is an attractive destination but when I come back I will not stay at the Rixos. Not worth the money!
DoubleTree by Hilton Shymkent
4.6/526 Reviews
Once again I was in Shymkent and I booked at the usual hotel. I tried several in this city but this is the one that makes me feel more comfortable. Hotel is nice, close to city center (walking distance) and at the same time aside enough to be silent during the night. Beds are quite comfortable: this time I found a spring matrass which seemed to be new, and it was nice to sleep there. Breakfast is various, not a huge choice, but everything is tasty (for Europeans, a little bit different from usual taste) and rather various from day to day. Big plus is the underground swimming pool and sauna, as well as the gym, and personally I love their bath tubs... Definitely, I will stop there again and again
