Excellent resort! Amazing location with great views! The pool is one of the best pools in a resort You get a great feeling of privacy even in the main pool area. The food is very good both at the restaurant and the pool bar Amazing cocktails at the bar! And finally and more importantly the best service from all the staff members

Our family stayed here for three nights, and the hotel is very nice. Enjoyed our time and would recommend people stay. However, we did encounter some friction. When we checked in and went to our room, we noticed a large amount of ants in the room and all over the floor. Eventually they ended up in one of our suitcases. We notified the hotel, who offered to move our room, but being here only 3 nights, that seemed a hassle. We asked, and were obliged, to have our clothes and suitcase cleaned. There is a restaurant on property and the food is very good, both for breakfast and dinner. The pool restaurant and bar are very nice, and have nice food for lunch. The workout facility is a nice amenity, as the roads are very hilly and curvy around the hotel. The beach is very nice and allows access to walk to taverns for lunch and dinner. We would recommend staying here.

Couldn’t fault this property. On Vathi beach this place is beautiful and resort like. Massive swimming pool and great friendly service everywhere. Went for a Villa room with private pool (it wasn’t cheap) but worth every Euro! The Villa was stand alone and about 60-70sqm - two bathrooms and separate loungeroom (with a kitchenette). Pool was larger than expected and the views magical. Breakfast space was on the beach - although very private and mostly outdoors (some indoors upstairs). Great selection and incredibly fresh - the chai yoghurt a fruit a must. Went to the gym - small although functional and very clean. You’ll need a car to get around (or a powerful scooter as we did) as the island is very hilly and steep inclines. We would definitely return.

We stayed in 2BR/3bath villa with private pool. The villa was STUNNING, spacious, immaculately clean, modern in beachy, airy Greek style. We had a full living room, dining room, kitchen with ice machine, an outdoor dining area, wrap around outdoor living space and 4 lounge chairs. Bathrooms were large and well equipped with great towels, nice robes and slippers. AC was perfect. Beds and pillows were comfy and the sheets exquisite (I am hard to please on beds and pillow!) Ample lighting and gorgeous view of the bay. We even had our own golf cart for use on the property. Gift shop was small and pricey but cute. I bought some jewelry. SERVICE: 5-Star, outstanding. Room service was fast and all requests were responded to and every need met. I requested a yoga mat, which was promptly delivered. Breakfast was very good, smaller variety than some, but good quality. Nice selection of fruits, sweet and savory, fresh OJ and Moet and Chandon. A 5-star touch. Lunch had a limited menu but was good. Pool and beach bar were very nice and not at all crowded. I believe there was also a playground and giant chess board on property. Location: a bit isolated, but down the beach you could walk to a good number of authentic tavernas which were good and inexpensive. There was also a convenience market for drinks, sunscreen, etc. The beach was not great, a bit murky with sea****, etc, but has sunbeds and is steps from the hotel pool. A few suggestions: Kitchen could be better equipped with glasses, dishes and utensils. Also, the ever-present feral cats in the dining area were bothersome and often aggressive in nature. Perhaps an indoor dining area or better barriers/management would be helpful. Tip for travelers: rent a cart. The location is a bit remote. Would have liked to see more of Sifnos. And maybe order room service for breakfast to avoid the cat fights....

Elies resort dominates the bay of Vathy almost totally, so one can not say they respect the environment as they claim to do on their homepage. Their guests occupy most of the broader public beach with their sunbeds, instead of staying inside the resort where they can have more than enough space for their beach life (their premises have 50.000 square meters, that is = 5 football fields) . Other guests in Vathy don't really have space on the beach anymore, just in the most narrow parts of it. Additionally, the resort claims to offer tranquility - but it is known for its noise impact because of parties, weddings etc. with disco music nights. Altogether, this is rather the opposite of respect for environment. And it makes Vathy an unpleasent place for a holiday. Elies Resort is an invitation for serious environmental protest on that beach.

We visited Elies Resort on our Honeymoon and give it our highest recommendation for any visitors seeking a luxury standard but more relaxed and friendly feeling experience. The service from the whole staff team at the resort was exceptional, which sets it apart from other 5* venues. The food is truly excellent and the evening fine dining menu is an absolute must-do for a special meal that offers an alternative to the tavernas. We ate dinner in the resort restaurant twice and the standard of cooking and presentation of every dish was outstanding, including adaption to cater for gluten free. The room was kept spotlessly clean, was very comfortable, and even included ample complimentary items in the mini-bar to keep you going. The pool and beach are perfect, with a great bar service, and Vathi bay was our favourite area on the whole island. A real 10/10 and if you want the final reason to stay here - they even give you Moët champagne at breakfast!

I had high hopes for this hotel as it came highly recommended by a friend. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience. This was my first trip to the Greek islands, I have stayed at many 5 star resorts and this was not a 5 star experience. I’d say it was comparable to a basic level Marriott hotel in the states. The property was quiet and appeared empty- we really only saw a handful of other guests on site/at the pool or beach which was nice. The room was spacious and clean, though lacked many basic amenities (such as a coffee machine and an iron). The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were flat- my husband and I did not get good sleep. The complementary breakfast was very basic and not very tasty. My husband and I were hoping to workout in the gym but the gym was dated and small, and the treadmill didn’t work. Our first day we wanted to lay on the beach and the lifeguard didn’t want to open the umbrella for us as he said it was “too windy” (though the umbrellas at the pool 20 feet away were all open). After asking again he obliged (we came for the beaches, not the pool!) The resort is tucked away in a beautiful bay but there are not many restaurants in walking distance. To get into town, it’s €20 each way which can get pricey if you are trying to go into town for lunch and or dinner daily. There are also only 9 taxi’s on the island so you have to request them in advance or you will be staying on the property the whole time. We ate lunch at the pool one day. The bartender Yannis was very friendly and nice but the food was not very good. We did have one very good meal at the restaurant on site our last night (the service there was also very good). Check was is at 11am, and we asked if we could have until 12pm (our ferry wasn’t until 3pm)- we were told no, that we could not check out late as they had guests checking in immediately (even though check in isn’t until 3pm)- I’ve never stayed somewhere that won’t give you one extra hour- especially on a week day; it felt bizarre and unaccommodating- especially considering how empty the resort felt. Overall 3 stars- would probably visit one of the more populated islands (like Mykonos or Santorini) as at this price point ($550/night) I expected more.

The property is great and perfectly located. Spacious rooms, beautiful beach and pool. Service at breakfast and in the restaurant is very friendly and efficient. At the reception, there are 3 ladies, 2 of whom are friendly and helpful. The front desk manager (Thomas) hides in the back office and does not follow up on any issue. He has a bureaucratic attitude and talks empty. We had several issues with him due to his bad service and management. Turndown service has to be requested strongly and everyday and is limited (closing the shutters is for guests to do according to Thomas as we do at home). Transfer to the port or by taxi in some other towns is difficult and Thomas loads suitcases in the van even if the ferry is 3 hours delay without informing guests. Day trips and boat trips prices are not transparent and they cancelled our boat trip one day before and postponed it on a day when it was more wavy and rough at sea. At the pool, there is no service for towels and guests reserve their chairs for the whole day and disappear without any reaction from management. All in all, a beautiful place for the beach and the comfort of rooms (suites are much better than ordinary room). But there is no service due to the front desk manager who does not care and a lady at the reception who is not trained to answer requests and follow them up. They are always full in summer due to the location and comfort. Therefore, service is not a priority.
