The Well

A beautiful hotel and gorgeous treatment. The hot and cold aufguss was fabulous and we also enjoyed the sound baths. We had a couples hamman and massage and both were excellent.

Our two-night stay at the hotel, especially celebrating New Year's Eve there, was an unforgettable experience. The highlight was the exquisite 10-course dinner at Mori restaurant on December 31st, where every dish was deliciously crafted. The evening continued delightfully with an outstanding performance by Felix Peikli & Friends at the Biblioteket Bar, making our New Year's celebration truly exceptional. The hotel itself is a breath of fresh air; its modern ambiance and comfortable rooms provided a relaxing stay. The breakfast offered was satisfying, and the SPA facilities were undoubtedly the highlight of our visit – top-notch and rejuvenating. Considering the fantastic experience we had, I'm already contemplating more visits to this wonderful hotel.

Came with my husband on a day-pass. Beautiful spa. Many facilities. Was crowded on a Saturday in the afternoon. One of the best massages I have had (Edwin). Cabs from Oslo are pricey ($90USD) so plan ahead to take the bus if you want to save money. Bus take an hour + versus 30 minutes in a cab.

Amazing hotel. A veritable smorgasbord of sauna and spa choices. I never knew there was such a variety! They really push you to "disconnect" from all media, not just social media. In house restaurant is delicious. Even better, hotel is just 25 min from Oslo and hotel prices are 33% cheaper than smaller, more spartan, hotels in downtown Oslo. Stay at the hotel and take public transportation to Oslo. It is a nightmare driving in Oslo; they clearly don't want cars downtown...which is a good thing! My recommendation is to tour Oslo in one long day and then relax at the Well for two days. I wish we had done that.

Amazing. Foods not the best ( Brasserie & breakfast only). Every thing else was super.

The Spa is super clean and modern, there is everything that you would need to have a relaxing day. Hot pools in open area, as well as closed area. Jacuzzi, different types of showers, cold pools… Aufguss ritual were fantastic as well. Sandrè was super professional. BUT, at the end of this relaxing day, you will get out of the structure (which is located in the middle of nowhere, no traffic, super calm, in a huge free area) and you should pay the parking. The machine doesn’t work, the app doesn’t recognise the car number, the lady in the reception can not help and they gave us a website address to try to pay later… and this is exactly what you dont need after a day in a SPA…

The Well was perfect. Beautiful setting, hotel, & spa. Room was immaculate & nicely furnished. The spa will wow you for sure. Olga in the spa was awesome!! We did an aufguss & meditation session with her & loved them both. The breakfast was outstanding. Every staff person was gracious & helpful. If you’re in Oslo it’s so worth it to visit The Well!

Hotel is fantastic - highly recommend. The spa is unique and has something for everyone. Great for couples. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone was able to speak English also. Hotel is very modern with water proof wristbands for opening your room, accessing the lifts, spa and lockers. The hotel encourages a digital detox (no TVs in the room and there's a box for you to leave your phones in- they're not allowed in the spa anyhow). FYI There was no safe in the room. We didn't realise what we were booking when we originally booked - there's a lot of naked bathing and this is encouraged by the hotel. You are not allowed to wear swimwear in the saunas and steam rooms (except on Tuesdays) but you can cover yourself with towel. It's an unusual experience for UK/US visitors perhaps but for the Norwegians and many people from Europe it's very natural, safe and normalised. Despite this, it exceeded our expectations and after the initial shock of the relaxed attitude to nakedness we got used to it and enjoyed it. We booked massages also which were excellent. The breakfast selection was ample and there was plenty of food options for the rest of the day. Mini bar was nicely stocked. Spa accessories were reasonably priced (if you want to wear a swimsuit, you have to buy their one - they have a choice of styles and sizes). The hotel is an easy journey from Oslo city centre (81 bus for 30 mins). Icing on the cake - oudoor jacuzzi looking at beautiful snowy forest.
