"Did NOT expect the hotel to be Uber, Art-house, boutiquey retro chic. From the photos ( Trip.com, Expedia) I was expecting something serviceable-yet-dull, corporate-safe-bland.
Nothing like that at all. Art pieces and distressed furniture in every corner, a beautiful tiled floor, gorgeous decor pinned to the walls, a huge antiquey mirror.
And the staff - who knew! So lovely, so friendly and kind. A tucked-away gay-friendly slice of quiet heaven.
Nothing flashy or night-clubby, nothing garish, just whimsical serenity.
I adore this place.
Don't tell anyone!
A kettle, fridge, safe, very nice shower area and balcony are in every room.
Oh, the TV, of course, one shouldn't come to Tulum for TV - it's just they have GREAT channels and many of them. All the streaming, all the film channels.
Pool is clean, serene, and so tranquil.
I hear others wrote about noise. There IS a building site next door. In May 2022 there was not one jackhammer or drill from that building site. SO many the building is on hold? There were no workers there the whole week.
There is NO club noise anywhere, it's a very quiet street.
It is perfectly close to CHedraui and Super AKI for groceries.
I would say this is a perfect hotel for those who like a piece of whimsy and decorum, a sublime setting, a nice balcony and lovely room decor for a good price, and a little retro-Mexican vibe, and want the conveniences of being in Tulum town.
Only down votes - the WIFI does frequently pop out, then back again. It's never out for long. A few seconds at most. If you have a Zoom meeting, you might lose a word or two, but it's not serious enough to force you to stop a streaming call. Just jittery.
Second - please guys install some ramsp for your guests who use a wheelchair. There are only steps up into the hotel and I think it would be much more welcoming to have a ramp up those three steps.
The photos on all the sites just don't convery the true heart and dainty-boutique vibe at all. "
