It was unfortunate that we had some trouble with the reservation, but the service they provided made up for it.
When we were unable to make a reservation for one day, they upgraded us and made a reservation at another hotel in the chain.
When there was a problem with our rental bike, they arranged for a new bike from another place.
And Layla's hotel was wonderful, especially the view from the rooftop pool.
If I had to point out one drawback, it would be that the room had a bit of a moldy smell, probably because it was by the pool.
It didn't bother me after staying in the room for a while.
The other facilities were great, and I would recommend this hotel if you're staying in the downtown Tulum area.

This is a jungle hotel with a very elegant style. I really like their breakfast. Their staff are very friendly. When I arrived, I couldn't pay the taxi fare with a credit card. Their staff Boony (I'm not sure about the spelling) helped me using the hotel's POS machine.

郭The hotel is located in Shidong District, with convenient transportation. There is a big supermarket opposite, a restaurant next door, and the Ruins Park is less than 5 minutes away by car. Although it is located on the side of the road, because the room is equipped with soundproof glass, it is not noisy after closing the doors and windows. The internal environment is very fresh, the room and the bedding are very clean, the free breakfast is made to order, fresh and delicious, the room has free bottled water, a variety of tea bags and coffee, the front desk has hot and cold water dispensers, and the service attitude is also very good. Stayed happily for two nights and it was worth it.

The hotel is pretty and clean, I can tell it’s newly opened. But the staffs definitely needed more training. The pool is pretty small, you can’t really swim in there. The jacuzzi was out of service, they don’t provide towel at the pool, even if you asked, they said they were going to get it but they never came back. Service is poor I would say.

Excellent room and surroundings. The balcony is spacious and directly facing a sunset. There are two restraunts and two public pools for amenities. Great staff, great food, great facility. The hotel is bigger than it looks. Good price overall, though the beech might be a little far for people who didnt rent bikes/cars.

The hotel staff are very nice. The room is very big and has a high floor and is very clean!
At the same time, free water is provided to guests. What can be improved is that the coffee table in the room is a big piece of wood, which is too heavy to move around. The design of the room and the hotel is not practical, but it is very beautiful😆.

Kein guter Badeort. Badeschuhe unbedingt notwendig.
Ein schöner Ort mit Ecken und Kanten.

I stayed at Azulik Tulum in one of the smallest rooms, and I have mixed feelings — both admiration and realism.
First, let’s be honest: Azulik is visually stunning. Architecturally, it’s a dream — truly built for aesthetics and Instagram. The design is beautiful, organic. From a visual and conceptual point of view, it’s easily 100/100.
However, when it comes to comfort and practicality, it’s a very different story.
Azulik is a pure jungle experience. That can be magical, but it also means:
Very limited privacy
A toilet behind a divider
No hot water at night
Minimal comfort overall
I understand this is intentional and part of the concept, but when rooms can cost up to $2,000 per night, you naturally expect a balance between artistic experience and luxury comfort — especially at that price point.
The room itself was cute, but definitely not designed for longer stays. This is not a place you want to stay more than 1–2 nights max. After that, the lack of comfort becomes noticeable.
Service was not good. I understand this is Mexico and things move differently, but for a hotel with such an international reputation, staff speaking English should be standard, especially since most guests are travelers from the other countries.
The beach service closes early (around 4–5 PM), so the experience feels very limited.
A few small but important details:
The matches in the room were extremely horrible to light, which becomes frustrating when candles are the main source of light, and I love candles idea but if you are reader this hotel not for you!
Cleaning could be better.
Hot water should really be available 24/7 at this level.
Overall, Azulik is an artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual concept, not a comfort-driven luxury hotel. If you come knowing that — and stay one or two nights only — it can be a beautiful experience. I think its important to remind guest on checking in what are they signing for, coz people don't like to read descriptions and coming for views then being disappointed.
Come for the vibe, architecture, and photos.
Don’t come expecting classic luxury or comfort.
Beautiful idea, powerful concept — but it could truly shine even more with better service, basic comfort, and attention to detail. And I`m not asking a lot here.
