Truly Deserves 5 Stars – Exceptional Stay at Selat Al Bait Hotel I recently stayed at Selat Al Bait Hotel for 7 nights, and I must say, this hotel deserves 5 stars, even though it’s officially rated 3. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the modern touches and excellent service. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a smart dial system to control “Do Not Disturb” for room service. Daily housekeeping ensured fresh towels, shampoo, and clean linen whenever needed. The pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, and the beds were cozy with clean sheets. Windows can be opened for fresh air, and my room overlooked the new Hajj walkway—a lovely view. The hotel has three lifts that always worked, making movement easy and convenient. Reception staff were very kind and helpful. Amenities include a gym, mosque, laundry service, and a decent breakfast. There’s a 24/7 shuttle to the Haram, and the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the new Haram and 20 minutes to the Mataaf from the same stop . You can walk straight road to Haram in around 30-45 mins . Parking available for locals .. Other highlights: free coffee and desserts in the lobby, hot water, a large shower, modern toilets, and all toiletries like shampoo and razors supplied. Daily water bottles were also provided. The hotel is very clean, with no insects or cockroaches, and the surrounding shops are lovely and more affordable than those near the Haram. For taxis to Haram Darul Tawheed, a short ride costs around 15–20 riyals—just make sure to use only marked taxis. Overall, my stay was extremely comfortable and convenient. Selat Al Bait offers modern facilities, attentive service, and excellent cleanliness at a great value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah!

Very comfortable hotel, very friendly staff & good services, the are a mosque facility for guest to pray for those who do not have time to go Masjidil Haram especially for Subuh prayers. Have good shuttle bus facilities for the convenience of pilgrims

We stayed during first week of Ramadan at EMAAR AL MANAR.. location was good , amenities and service was good .. we will look forward to booking it again for our next pilgrimage inshallah

The staff is great, the service is excellent and for the price, the facilities, amenities, ambiance and cleanliness are all quite satisfactory. I had one problem with the toilet, but since my stay was short and again the price was quite reasonable , I didn’t complain. Location is ok haram wise but not great; their shuttle service may help, but I didn’t try.

بصراحة تجربه لن تتكرر مره اخري اولا الفندق بعيد عن الحرم ثانياً اخترت غرفه خارجه اعطوني غرفه علي مناور داخليه طلب تغيرها رفضو مع العلم ان معظم الغرف غير محجوزه وشفت بعيني معظم ابواب الغرف مفتوحه ولا يوجد بها نزلاء تعامل موظفين الاستقبال غير جيد علشان اذهب الي الحرم قمت بصرف اكثر من 150 ريال يومياً علي التاكسي في جميع الصلوات الفندق موفر باص لكن هتمشي مده علشان تروح الحرم فمن الافضل تاكسي وريحت بالي علي كل كال تجربه لن تتكرر بهذا الفندق وانصح اي احد يرغب بالحجز لابد من قراءه كل تقيمات النزلاء السابقين حتي لاتتعب نفسك

Our pilgrimage was meant to be seamless. Choosing your hotel, so close to the Haram—a short walk, as promised—felt like the right decision. The journey, however, took its toll before we even arrived: a delayed flight led to a six-hour travel ordeal, and we reached at the hotel exhausted but hopeful on January 10th. That hope faded at the front desk. Despite our confirmed booking for two rooms from January 9th to 12th, hotel’s system showed a puzzling three reservations. I presented our single trips.com itinerary for both rooms, only to be told I needed two separate booking numbers. The conclusion was delivered with an apologetic shrug: according hotels records, we only had one room. For a family of seven, fresh off a long journey, the frustration was indescribable. The proposed solution was to crowd all seven of us into a single room while they investigated. The room, we discovered, was disappointingly tiny—barely enough space for our luggage, let alone seven people. For four anxious hours, we waited in cramped limbo, our patience wearing thin. Thankfully, the issue was eventually resolved and our second room was granted on the same floor, few steps awayz While we were grateful for the eventual fix, the experience was marred. We also noted that while the walk to the Haram was conveniently short, the path itself was unfortunately quite dirty, which detracted from the sanctity of the approach. This wasn't just a booking error; it was a failure of hospitality at a moment when we were most vulnerable. The proximity to the Haram is the hotel’s advantage, but it must be matched by impeccable service and maintained surroundings to truly honor your guests' journey.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were some positive aspects, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The food was definitely a standout, with delicious options that were well-prepared and satisfying. I really enjoyed the variety offered and the overall quality, making meals one of the better parts of the stay. The room was decent, but nothing extraordinary. It was comfortable enough for a short stay, with clean amenities and a generally pleasant atmosphere. However, the decor felt a bit dated, and I didn’t find it to be as luxurious or cozy as I had hoped. The biggest downside was the price – it felt quite high for what was offered. While the food and room were fine, I expected a little more in terms of value for the cost. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something decent, but considering the price, it might not be the best option for everyone. I’d rate my experience a 3/5.

I booked the hotel from Trip.com just 30 minutes before the check-in, and it was very convenient due to location near to Haram, Parking Availability and nearby restaurants. The location is ideal but issue is heavy rush of traffic and shuttle takes more time to reach. Overall 7.5/10 rating for the hotel.

Came in October. Arrived earlier than check in time and didn't have to wait long to get a room - just what you need after a long journey. WiFi in foyer is good, but slow in the room. It's about 10 mins to Haram, but bear in mind you still need to walk to Ka'bah after that and it may be hot and you may not be alone. Besides that, staff was friendly, it was clean and the price was value for money. I would definitely recommend it for solo travellers or friends.
