4-Star Hotels in Copenhagen

15 - 20min walk away from main attractions. There’s a lake in front of hotel that’s nice.  Hotel drop off point are stairs to go in, take note if you are taking heavy luggage. No aircon in hotel only fan that you can’t adjust speed.  Additional bed for kid charge at 300kr per night.  Family bicycle available for rent at 600kr per day.  Happy hour with free drink from 5-6 pm daily. Artistic interior and nice garden. Also creepy artwork on the wall.  Overall not bad experience, some staff are friendly some are not.

Great location, within a 5-minute walk to the central station. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The suite is on the top floor (5th floor), which is a nice touch. The room layout was a little unusual, with a narrow walkway and sloped ceilings due to the roof design. The shower area, including the alcove tub, felt somewhat awkward and may be less convenient for taller guests. There was also an RGB light above the shower, which was an interesting design choice (who uses red lighting for showering?) The building has some old-world charm, though the room's floor creaked noticeably when walking around. The small balcony was pleasant, but the view was fairly average. Overall, a good stay for the location, though some aspects of the room design could be improved.

Came here based on a recommendation from Xiaohongshu, but I have to say it's more about looks than functionality. The design is really strong, but the actual room functionality for staying here is pretty mediocre. I wouldn't recommend it for business travelers. The room is very dark, only suitable for a leisurely stay. Overall, this hotel feels like it's all style and no substance.

Excellent location, within walking distance to many attractions. if travelling to further places, metro is just across the street. Very friendly staff too. There's no kettle in the room but they are always happy to help me fill my thermo flask with hot water. Can also self-service drinking water from the water dispenser at the bar. Was travelling solo so the room size was ok, but it could be small for 2pax especially if there are big luggages. Very happy with my stay here overall!

The hotel and [unclear word - possibly a brand or feature] are integrated, and the service is on par with a typical five-star hotel. The breakfast was also good; the yogurt was fresh and the dark bread delicious. The room had a great view too. The only annoying thing was that the parking space isn't part of the hotel, and you have to log in to a website that's entirely in Danish within 48 hours to pay – which was really frustrating. Plus, the hotel front desk couldn't process the payment for us at all... Everything else was lovely though!

This gem of a hotel did at the border of two key districts, nearby restaurants, metro and access to the lakes. The building has been nicely refurbished. Breakfsst is very good. Rooms are comfortable. But the real asset is the staff, who are warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Two community happy hours occur every day. Jazz on occasion. A great place to spent a full week, as we did, or a night.

I had a wonderful stay at Ascott during my 8-night visit to Copenhagen. I would especially like to thank the team for accommodating my early check-in. I arrived earlier than expected and was unfortunately feeling unwell after my journey. Being able to check into my room early made a real difference and allowed me to rest and recover comfortably. I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. I would also like to recognize the housekeeping team. I didn’t have to request room cleaning, yet the housekeeping lady thoughtfully came by to service my room during my stay. Her attentiveness, kindness, and the care she took in maintaining the room were genuinely appreciated. The location is excellent—perfect for exploring Copenhagen on foot while still enjoying a peaceful stay. It made my visit incredibly convenient and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so memorable. I enjoyed it so much that I’ll be returning to Ascott this October, and I’m already looking forward to staying with you again!

I booked a room without breakfast. The hotel room was tiny, only big enough to open one suitcase at a time. We had to close one just to open the second. It was convenient though, with plenty of places to explore nearby. We pretty much did a whirlwind tour in one day. Taking an Uber with a new member discount was cheaper than getting a taxi from the airport. There were lots of food options nearby, and we even ate at a restaurant Andersen often visited. Every day was expensive though – prices were really high. A bottle of water or soda was around 30 DKK. For breakfast, two burgers, a coke, and fries cost about 290 RMB. Renting bikes for two people for half an hour was over 150 RMB. In July, you don't need to wear very thick clothes; it's much warmer than Iceland, but if it's windy, it gets very breezy. It's best to book things in advance wherever you go. Even the train station toilets charge a fee!

Hygiene: Nobody cleaned the room... After a day out, I came back to find the room exactly as I left it. The conditioner and tissues weren't refilled, and the overflowing trash can wasn't emptied. When I contacted the front desk, they said they only had two cleaners a day and couldn't do anything. Facilities: The hallway outside the room was a bit old, and there was a strange smell inside the room. The toilet seat was also crooked. Ambiance: The lobby was quite nice, and there were several restaurants to choose from. Service: The service attitude was decent, but sometimes I had to queue for a while at the front desk.

The room we stayed in was on the 17th floor and had a great view. The location is excellent—it’s close to the train station, and there are several restaurants and supermarkets within a short walking distance. The room wasn’t very big, and the lighting wasn’t bright enough, so it felt a bit dark at night. I really liked the idea of offering free snacks and bread at the reception that were left over from the breakfast buffet. It’s a thoughtful way to reduce food waste.
