Amazing
GGuest UserThe first thing I'll write about Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae is the good location. It's right next to Aobadori Station, but there is only a stairway down. An elevator is located not too far away, and I'll get to that in the last part of this review. The lobby of the hotel has a nice ambience, and the hotel offers one complimentary drink and a complimentary bowl of soba noodles. Since the majority of hotel guests take advantage of these offers, the lobby and bar can be crowded during both day and night (until 22:00). The staff whom I interacted with, especially the young lady upon check-in, were all very friendly and helpful. Water coolers are available on each floor next to the elevators, so if it's late at night and you're out of water, you don't have to go far. This is a good service by the hotel. I really like the fact that from the ground level, you can take the elevator directly up to your room floor, bypassing the usually busy and crowded lobby. When it comes to sound insulation between rooms, unfortunately this was not too good. I was able to hear my neighbours banging their limbs, suitcases, clothes hangers etc. against the walls. I didn't really hear talking, but that's probably because my neighbours were Japanese and talked to each other in low tones (non-Japanese people should emulate this). As for noise from the streets, my room faced another building (which was what I requested), so I didn't hear much traffic noise. The shower temperature in my first room fluctuated badly. It would be hot for about 30 seconds, then it turned cold for a minute, then hot again for 15 seconds, then cold again for a long time. The hotel staff helped me switch to a different room, and the shower temperature in the second room was fine. The furniture in the rooms are a bit old, but that's not a big issue. The fridges on the other hand are too small and not cold, the hotel should purchase larger and better units. A nitpick of mine is having to use the television to choose the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners. I'd much rather a switch next to the door, or the traditional sign to hang on the doorknob. I did not have breakfast at the hotel nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those services. Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others. I hope that in the future the sound insulation between rooms can be vastly improved, and that the hotel can provide physical 'Do Not Disturb' signs or switches. Side note: If you have large luggage and need an elevator, you have to walk south just a little along Atagokamisugi-dori, and soon you'll see an elevator to the underground station. When you get into this elevator, get to the lowest level, and when walking to Sendai station via the underground passage, there is another elevator in an oddly-angled corner. ZzhglongThis was my second stay at this hotel. Coincidentally, it was during a Japanese long weekend, and the room rate for two nights skyrocketed from over 800 to nearly 1500 yuan. The bed also downsized from 1.6m to 1.4m. My experience declined, but that's not the hotel's fault, it's my wallet's fault.

Cch.bWe stay here for two consective years and the main reason is their breakfast buffet which is not a huge line but they had every local famous items to offer, one of the best breakfast with variety of local choices for guest to enjoy with proper menu rotation. Easy access from Sendai station, walking distance to Sendai Station, Bus stop, Aeon supermarket, Montbell shop, lots of nearby local restaurants, family mart and 7-11. coffee capsule machine available at lobby from afternoon time onward.

MMiaw GWe Got upgraded to a newly renovated room, toilet is separated from bathroom, which was a nice surprise! Hate to shower inside the bathtub but for $150 I tot I should make do since it’s just 1N. Will definitely come back here again if I come to Sendai. Location is implacable! Linked to train station and mall. Lots of restaurants around. Sendai is more bearable as it is not as crowded as Tokyo where you need to queue for everything.

OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

TThanathip MoolvongThis hotel is just few hundred meters from Sendai JR station. There is sky-bridge connected from the station to the hotel. While room is ok but bed is very small for 2 people. Bathroom has a small bathtub and is bigger than some hotels I have stayed. Hotel offers welcome drinks (self-service ) and public bath to all guests only. However I didn’t use it. Breakfast was ok and reasonable spread.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were incredibly helpful, and even the cleaning team offered warm greetings, creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. The amenities were plentiful, and above all, the room was spotlessly clean. What truly impressed me was that the room came fully equipped with ReFa brand essentials: a straightener, curling iron, hairdryer, and even a ReFa shower head – it was absolutely fantastic! The excellent location was another huge plus, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which was incredibly convenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel location is near the shopping mall and 5-10 minutes from the Sendai Station. However,I will not recommend this hotel If you have rented a car for your trip as the hotel does not have its own car park. There are 3 shared car parks near the hotel and they are quite full on Sat and Sun.

GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly attentive. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was so quiet with excellent natural light. The large bathroom was a real plus – very comfortable! Thank you. I'd love to come back and stay for a few more days next time. The location is super convenient, right next to Sendai Station.

SSKLoveTravelThis is a very large onsen ryokan. There's a free shuttle bus from Sendai Station directly to the hotel, but you need to book it in advance. The buffet dinner features king crab legs and made-to-order sushi, and the breakfast is also very good. If you don't use the shuttle, it's just a three-minute walk to the bus stop for a ride back to Sendai.
