The hotel offers an airport pick-up service (fee: 20 USD), which requires one day's advance notice. It's about a 15-minute drive from the airport. The hotel lobby is bright and spacious, and the front desk staff are polite. The room matched the pictures, with plenty of space and wooden furniture, giving it a warm feel. The bathroom was clean, and while the shower pressure was a bit weak, it was acceptable. Breakfast is served from 7-10 AM, and it's a buffet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, convenient for vegetarians. The hotel's service is truly excellent. If you have any issues, just ask, and the staff are very happy to help and are proactively attentive.

A beautiful and charming boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality. We received a warm welcome, including a traditional bindi greeting, which made us feel special right away. The rooms were clean, tastefully designed, well-maintained, and had good water pressure. Service throughout the stay was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. With low occupancy, it was served à la carte with a wide range of options. We ordered several items, and every dish was delicious and well-prepared. Special mention to Gunjan at the restaurant for his outstanding service, attentive, warm, and professional. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality stay in Kathmandu.

Lakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. This is a newly built hotel, and it's rare to find such clean bathrooms in Nepal. It's located in a quiet spot at the entrance of Thamel, right next to the Garden of Dreams. While it's a bit far from central areas like Durbar Square, it's a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet at the hotel. Since it seems brand new, the room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was also spotless, so I felt very comfortable using it. The breakfast area on the 8th floor offered a lovely view. The front desk staff were polite, but during breakfast, I noticed other guests were asked for their egg orders, whereas I wasn't (perhaps because I had already taken scrambled eggs). Also, coffee (other than instant) at breakfast was an extra charge.

Hotel Lo Mustang is located in Thamel And its unique selling point has to be its location as it is very close to all of the shops bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and the WiFi is very strong

The environment and hygiene conditions are good, quite decent for Kathmandu. If you have a late flight, you can pay extra to request a late check-out until 6 PM. I'm giving the service a 2-star rating because of two front desk staff members. Staff member A miscalculated the amount when I was paying the remaining balance plus breakfast (everyone, please pay attention to the numbers they write down, they might not always be correct). After I pointed it out, it took him a while to realize his mistake, and I almost overpaid by more than $10. Staff member B kept asking me if I had paid on my last night, even after I told him that I had paid the full amount on my first day. I had to answer at least three times before I got visibly annoyed, and he probably finally checked the system and confirmed my payment before he stopped asking. I was originally going to give a 1-star rating, but on the last day, after checking out, I was waiting for my ride in the lobby for a long time. The lobby manager kindly came out to ask about my situation and mentioned that next time I could request a late check-out, which brought my rating back up to 2 stars. I hope they can update their front desk system, at least so they don't miscalculate numbers when settling bills, and so they can easily check payment status instead of repeatedly asking guests who have already paid.

A great hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in a national style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The panoramic restaurant on the 7th floor is fantastic – delicious food with a diverse breakfast buffet and an extensive menu for other meals, including both local and European dishes. The hotel also has a very good spa, though it doesn't operate late into the evening. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend.

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times but it gets progressively worse each stay. The only good thing is the location, the fact that it is near the airport and it’s only good for international arrival passengers not for departures. As someone who had quite a heavy luggage and a morning flight, it sure was an excruciating workout to walk a steep ramp with a trolley full of luggages to reach the departure hall which is entirely on another platform compared to the arrival halls. I’d only recommend it to people who have lighter luggages, arriving passengers and/or people who have late night flights because a having a hotel near saves a lot of time . The rooms were fine but there were a lot of insects likes moths, even though all the windows and doors were shut close. The beddings had stains and the worse part was that there were feces stains in the toilet which showed that cleaning was not done properly, even though they made me wait 20-30 mins to just to check in after arriving at the hotel. The good thing is that the staff were very attentive, especially the man in the reception. He was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable.
