5-Star Hotels in Antu

An absolutely wonderful stay! This hotel-style B&B is right in the heart of Enduoli, and the location is fantastic. It's surprisingly quiet at night once you close the windows. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and proactive, asking in advance if we needed reservations for the Tianchi distribution center or the high-speed rail, providing excellent and attentive service. There's also a hot spring bath – though not huge, the water quality was great and very clean. Plus, we received welcome desserts and afternoon tea vouchers to enjoy coffee and treats at the nearby cafe. All in all, it's a hotel I would definitely recommend to friends!

Facilities: The room was incredibly spacious, with brand new and exquisite facilities. The decor had a minimalist style. There were three huge glass windows; two overlooked the inner courtyard, and the other directly faced the magnificent mountains. In January, the view outside the window was a breathtaking snowy forest landscape, allowing us to embrace nature up close. The deep soaking tub was super large and clean, making for a very relaxing bath in the evening. Breakfast was very rich and plentiful. Even during the off-season when they offered set menus, the hotel accommodated our personalized dining requests. The room had screen mirroring and a Youku VIP account already logged in, so we could watch movies directly from bed. There was underfloor heating, but its effect wasn't very noticeable due to the large room size. However, we could turn on an electric heater and place it by the bed to stay warm, so we never felt cold. Service: The hotel front desk staff were very enthusiastic. They helped us carry our luggage to the room upon check-in and provided free pick-up and drop-off services to and from the station. We added the hotel on WeChat, and they provided attentive service throughout our stay, fulfilling all our needs. The private car driver was also incredibly enthusiastic. He always parked as close as possible to our destinations to minimize our inconvenience walking in the snow. The vehicle was also new, spacious, and smart. Surprisingly, I didn't get carsick once in three days (I usually get carsick easily). The driver took us to the most scenic spots and the best hot springs. Even though Changbai Mountain Tianchi was closed, we still had an amazing time! I highly recommend Xueling, Lao Like Lake, Julong Wei Lu Zhu Cha (圍爐煮茶 - a hot pot/tea experience), Magic Realm Rafting, and Blue Scenery Hot Spring. Location: There's a shopping area about one to two kilometers from the hotel, making dining convenient, and the driver gave us free rides. In Erdaobaihe Town, waiting times for taxis can be long at night, and food delivery times are also extended.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of town, right next to the high-speed train station. The facilities are very new, and the various functional areas are well-distributed. The suite is quite spacious, perfect for a family of three, with two bathrooms – one with a shower and one with a bathtub. The toiletries are Peter Thomas Roth, which is a Hilton brand standard. The front desk service was excellent; the staff were friendly, accommodating, and capable of independent problem-solving. They helped us resolve a few minor issues we encountered. However, the housekeeping and restaurant services were comparatively not as good and have room for improvement.

Right at check-in, we were given two warm bottles of Changbai Mountain mineral water. The room was standard, and the heating was very strong – we had to sleep with the window open. The hot springs, however, are in a separate building, and you have to walk through the lobby on the ground floor to get to them. The lobby and the breakfast area on the second floor weren't warm enough, making it easy to catch a cold after coming back from the hot springs. The hot springs themselves are communal and only have a few small pools; it's not really worth going unless you just want a quick taste of Changbai Mountain's hot springs.

I had always wanted to stay at Jiuzhai Yongguichuan, and since Changbaishan had just opened, I specifically chose to come to the North Slope this time, forgoing the West Slope resort. If this review had been written yesterday, it might not even have received a three-star rating, but since the hotel made an effort to adjust yesterday, I'm giving it four stars overall. From an environmental perspective, there's nothing to fault; the decor and design are excellent, and I really liked the room. However, my check-in experience on the first day was: The service attitude was very good, but they were incompetent at actually getting things done. The problems included: absolutely no turndown service (I had asked the front desk about this during check-in, and they said someone would come find us upon arrival, which never happened); The so-called welcome ceremony was just two glasses of water and three pieces of *dagaos* (rice cakes), with no ladies in traditional attire as advertised; My stored luggage couldn't be found by the front desk; There were no coffee beans for breakfast 😂; The curtain in the room was broken, and I was woken up by the light at 5 AM...; There were only mineral water bottles, no soft drinks as listed; And all services were incredibly slow, giving me the impression that the service was more like a private guesthouse than a hotel – very chaotic. Because the check-in experience was so unsatisfactory, I provided feedback yesterday. After yesterday's feedback, today's breakfast had coffee, and the room was also changed. This was quite good :) For a hotel at this price point, my experience at Yongguichuan this time was still a bit disappointing, mainly regarding breakfast and service.
