The gated hotel is a co-op made up of restored and new buildings, a restaurant, and a spa, but nothing over 3 stories. There are numerous restaurants once you leave the grounds -- go west. Get the breakfast buffet, it is worth it! The tourist center is a block west and next to the Grand Canal. Go there, and ask the nice young lady how to get around. The hotel will give you change for the bus. The police and information will help you in the metro. Be sure to walk up and down the canal, enjoy people watching, especially the young ladies dressed and made up in beautiful period piece costumes. You can rent one yourself if you wish to participate. Most of the tourist sights are within walking distance, including the Humble Administer's Garden and the sanpan ride on the canal. The hotel also has a nightly cruise sign up. If you want to see a panda, you'll have to go to the Taihu Wetland Park -- it's about 30 km from the hotel. You can get there by cab or public transportation.

Great location, stone throw away from Pingjiang Road and easy transport to local famous tourist attractions. Friendly staff, great service, willing to help. Of course don't expect everyone knows English. The only downside is also location. Difficulty to call taxi during rush hour cos no one wants to drive this crazy congested road.

Convenient located right next to the busy ping jiang road with lots of attractions and shops. One down side is the massive jam at its doorstep during most hours.. if you’re willing to endure that then this place is excellent.

The hotel is located next to Pingjiang Road. When you go out, you will see the crowded Pingjiang Road. When you enter the hotel, you will see the quiet Jiangnan scenery. The hotel consists of 4 buildings. Tianyi Building should be the best decorated building. Various Chinese furnishings are distributed in every corner, and Chinese aesthetics are everywhere. Twin room, there is a sofa in the room, which can be slept by one person, very friendly for a family of three. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel tastes very good. I ate 2 meals in a row. It is more cost-effective than Songhelou in Pingjiang Road. The only drawback is the hotel's breakfast. For the room rate of nearly 2,000 during the May Day holiday, this breakfast has few varieties and is replenished very slowly, but the hotel's tofu pudding is delicious.

It was no problem to lay my two 28-inch suitcases flat! The breakfast was quite rich, the room was well ventilated, sanitary, and the facilities were good. After taking a shower at night, I wanted to use a hair dryer, but it was broken. It was powered on for a while and then not working. Because it was late at night, I didn't contact the hotel to change it. Also, the booking information says there is a free mini bar, but the refrigerator in the room is not powered. The breakfast buffet the next morning was quite good, with a wide variety of dishes, the restaurant staff was polite and attentive, the closing time was very timely, and the dining environment was also good. I hope the hotel can improve the room hardware and software to match the price.
