Norden Ruder Hostel Taichung

Throughout my entire trip to Taiwan, Lude truly made my day! Upon check-in, I was immediately drawn to the clean, fresh, minimalist, and well-designed decor. Unlike other hostels with shared public bathrooms, Lude's single rooms are essentially a private room for one person, sharing a bathroom with just one other adjacent room. This significantly reduces the chance of multiple people disturbing each other, and I had an excellent night's sleep. The next day, after checking out, I lingered for a long time in the beautiful common area. The bright floor-to-ceiling windows, rich and charming cultural and creative products, high-quality and affordable homemade pour-over coffee, and warm black tea made me reluctant to leave. My biggest regret is not staying here for a few more days. On my next trip, in any city where Lude exists, I will definitely visit and experience different room types. Wishing them prosperous business! This is truly an amazing place to stay.

*Location: Right across from Taichung Railway Station (Taiwan Boulevard side), below is the Global Village English, Japanese, and Korean cram school. Loosha Hostel is located upstairs from the 8th to 12th floor. *Service: Check-in is from 7 AM to 10:30 PM. The staff are all very friendly. If you need room cleaning, just inform them at the front desk. *Facilities: This hostel offers 2-person dorm rooms with private bathrooms and showers, as well as multi-person rooms and family rooms. The check-in lobby is on the 12th floor, featuring comfortable sofas by the floor-to-ceiling windows facing the train station, and bean bags. Each floor also has comfortable sofa areas, and there's a yoga room. The top floor even has an activity space for guests to enjoy their vacation more. Guests must change into indoor slippers at the shoe cabinet by the elevator on their accommodation floor, according to their room number, and place their own shoes in the corresponding shoe cabinet. Room cards are required for entry and exit. After 10:30 PM, the main elevator entrance downstairs also requires a room card for access. Each floor has an automatic water dispenser, a laundry area with washing machines on the balcony, and drying racks. Every bed also has a safe. What's most surprising is that each room (bed) has a storage pouch containing pencils, colored pencils, notebooks, sticky notes, etc. This allows guests to leave their travel stories and also read others' stories. It's very creative and makes solo travelers feel less lonely. [Heart emojis x3] *Bed: The firmness is just right, and the quilt is clean, hygienic, and comfortable. *Soundproofing: I've stayed here twice, each time for about a week. The soundproofing is decent; the only concern is if your roommates are noisy. Also, room 1106A was very noisy, and the outdoor sign light stayed on all night, disturbing sleep. *WiFi: Almost every hotel/guesthouse in Taiwan has excellent WiFi. [Thumbs up emojis x3] *Value for Money: The price is typical for a backpacker hostel, but since this one offers 2-person rooms, it might be slightly more expensive. However, I think it's very good value. So, the next time I visit Taichung, I'll choose Loosha Hostel again. [Thumbs up emojis x3]
