Hot Spring Resort

The double room was a bit small, but the bed was very soft and comfortable. Having two soaking tubs was fantastic! For transportation, you can arrange pickups/drop-offs with the hotel. Just a heads-up, the hot water is actually hot spring water, and there's no elevator at the hotel.

I think it's pretty good! Overall, it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews suggested. However, the breakfast was indeed a bit too 'basic'. The nearby Hell Valley was quite memorable too, though I wish it were a bit more upscale, haha.

The location is a bit tucked away, and the roads leading to it are quite narrow, so it's not the most convenient for transportation. However, they do have their own parking spots and a shuttle service available. It's within walking distance to the Thermal Valley, which is pretty handy! The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive; they helped us take our luggage to the room and arranged parking for us :) The layout of the building is quite interesting, almost like exploring a maze, which was a fun little bonus. The room itself was very spacious, comfortable, and I really liked it! It was clean and tidy, and there's a private hot spring tub in the room. If you want to bathe with the whole family, you can opt for the public hot spring facilities, but that comes with an extra charge. Breakfast included congee, steamed buns, toast, stir-fried noodles, and about six or seven side dishes, including scrambled eggs and vegetables. It was simple but filling! Overall, I was very satisfied with this stay!

They have a shuttle bus from the MRT station to the hot springs, which is super convenient. The white sulfur hot springs are quite unique. It might just be me, but I had trouble with the hot spring tap, so when I turned on the hot spring water, the shower water would either turn cold or hot. It would be great if they could improve that.

Although I accidentally left a small towel behind, the hot spring experience overall was great. The lack of an elevator didn't bother me, but it might be an issue for some. The air conditioning wasn't too noisy, and the soundproofing was decent. The only minor drawback is that it's quite a bit off the beaten path. Maybe I'll go back and retrieve my towel next time?

The hotel facilities are well-maintained! They don't feel old or worn out at all. The shuttle service is a great bonus! The only downsides are that the location is a bit out of the way, with no dining options nearby, and the private onsen is quite small. Still, it's worth recommending!

I stayed at the Beitou Reizhi Tang for one night. The exterior is a simple, old-style hotel. The room's cleanliness was acceptable. There's no elevator, so you have to take the stairs, which are a bit uneven – easy to make a mistake if you're not paying attention 😅. The room door uses an old-fashioned key for entry and exit. The room has a Japanese style, with a decorative window that doesn't open. The soundproofing isn't great; you can clearly hear people walking upstairs late at night, and the drainpipe noises are also quite audible. Other than that, everything else was acceptable. The hotel staff also provide shuttle service to the MRT station and were very courteous. Overall, it was an acceptable stay.
