Hyatt Hotels in Taipei

Booked their Junior Suite for 3 nights during my short stay at Taipei. One of the cheapest and value for money hotels I found by surprise within Wanhua and Zhongzheng Districts. Located just above Wanhua Train Station and 2 minutes walk away from Lungshan Temple Metro Station. Check in is strictly at 3pm, but was allowed to do self service pre-check in when I reached at around 2.30pm and waited at the lobby area for the check in to start at 3pm. Room is located at the 27th floor right beside the lift lobby. Room is equipped with 2 bathrobes (not automatically changed unless requested), a small fridge, coffee machine and a small living room to chill. Two TVs (living room and bedroom) with Netflix and disney plus too! Room is wide enough to open my 2 luggages without blocking the walkway between the room door and bathroom. Great view of the Taipei City from my window and bathroom window. Toilet bowl is japanese which i really love it! Bathroom is wide too! Bathroom is also equipped with shampoo, facial soap and body soap. Do remember to bring your own toiletries as they don’t provide other toilet amenities like toothbrush/toothpaste. Housekeeping is done once a day unlike other hotels which may only do once for every 3 night stay. Check out was a breeze, simply dropped my room card at the front of the reception at the express check out box as I don’t have any outstanding payments.

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***. At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage. Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***… Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

Good hotel, comfortable family room. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. 15mins walking distance to Ximending walking street, very near to a 24hrs carrefour which is just diagonal to the hotel (crossing 1 big road). Free “all you can eat” snacks for hotel guests, the kids were super happy and enjoying.

The Grand Hotel itself is an icon of Taipei. It is not located in the most convenient location but the hotel offers free shuttle services to nearby MRT stations. The room itself is of very decent size. The employees were helpful and polite. Since my room is located in a nearby building, the employees sent me and my bags with a motor vehicle. It was a delight to stay in this hotel.

it is a very outdated hotel to be considered 5 star. felt more like an average 4 star hotel. I guess its close proximity to Taipei main station gave it its legacy 5 star rating. also credits to housekeeping for regular daily cleaning of room. downsides: double bed was queen size. was really expecting a king size for a 5 star hotel. headboard above bed was extremely dusty to the touch, and led lights tend to flicker randomly. bathtub + shower is an outdated concept, small shower area to stand in the bathtub is so uncomfortable. furnishing generally looks outdated. worst of all, when all lights are switched off, only a creepy red light (probably from the smoke detector) remains lit right in front of the mirror facing the bed. makes you feel like something gonna jump out from the mirror. horrible experience. you're better off paying a similar price by finding a 4 star hotel which is 2-3 stops away from Taipei main station, potentially bigger rooms, a more comfortable bed and newer fittings.

My recent stay at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff offered warm, attentive service, making me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views of the city skyline. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa. Dining was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious international and ********* dishes. In summary, the Sheraton Grand Taipei provides a luxurious, seamless experience with outstanding service, facilities, and dining. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Taipei.

The best traveler hotel in Taiwan. It is just outside the Ximen station and crossing away from ximending night life! Not expensive at all! For a group of three the price was just remarkable! And with breakfast and comfortable beds for each of us! Perfect for first timers. Btw, elevators are considerably fast even when you had to line up when the hotel is packed.

I stayed at **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** with my family from December 10th to 15th, and while it had its positives, there were a few aspects that would make me hesitate to stay here again. The hotel is in the heart of **Ximending**, just a short walk from Ximending MRT station, making it convenient for exploring the area. You’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and entertainment, so it's ideal if you want to be in the middle of the action. #### Room: We stayed in the **Superior Family Room**, which was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The room had a modern design, with comfortable beds, a TV, a mini-fridge, and a desk. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it worked well for our needs. The shower had good water pressure, and everything was clean and in good condition. #### Service: The service was friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk were always ready to assist with recommendations for local attractions and were prompt in fulfilling our requests for extra towels and pillows. #### Amenities: The **breakfast** was okay, but not impressive. The buffet had a basic selection of both Western and ********* breakfast items, but it became repetitive, and the quality could have been better. It was just enough to get by, but nothing memorable. One issue that affected our stay was the **noise in the lobby at night**. It often felt like a social hangout spot, with a large group of people drinking beer and playing games. It wasn't always clear if all of them were hotel guests, and the noise was quite disruptive, especially for anyone trying to relax or sleep. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be a problem, as the lobby area gets pretty lively late into the night. #### Overall Experience: While **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** offers great value for its central location and the rooms are generally comfortable, the noise from the lobby and the underwhelming breakfast left a bit of a negative impression. Based on this experience, **I probably wouldn't stay here again**. I would likely choose a hotel that's even closer to Ximending, with quieter surroundings and a better breakfast. Would I recommend it? If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Ximending and don't mind some noise in the evenings, it could work for you. But for a more peaceful stay, I’d recommend looking at other options.

The location is good the room is clean the staff is very kind cheap place to stay near station access landmark in a minutes this hotel is not for sensitive/ richkid people if your looking for budget friendly hotel choose this thanks you city hotel.
