"Fantastic hotel! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here during my trip to Taipei. A fun little bonus was being able to grab candy from the snack shop next door every day. The room was really smart, and I loved having a square bathtub and bath salts. Highly recommend!"

I like to come there when im in Taipei. Its a good hotel and generous sized rooms. Also I need say thank you for the great check in. I arrived a bit early and could check in earlier to make fresh (unfortunately I forgot the ladies name). The Japanese room service breakfast was also decent and fast delivered. I know all need sustainable at this time, but it would be more convenient if there are shaving kit and a toothbrush in the room or the front desk would ask upon check in, if need.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and a well-developed surrounding area. What impressed me most was the room's view – Taipei 101 was clearly visible from the window, offering different beauty both day and night. Especially when the lights came on at night, the entire city's atmosphere was captivating, giving a relaxing and therapeutic feeling. The room itself was clean and tidy, with efficient use of space. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a restful sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete, with stable hot water, and the overall hygiene was reassuring. The hotel staff were friendly, making check-in and check-out very smooth, and any issues were promptly addressed. Additionally, there are many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel, making daily life very convenient. It's suitable for both short trips and slightly longer stays. If you're visiting Taipei, especially looking for accommodation with a city view and good value for money, this hotel is a worthwhile option to consider. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay.

Very good and sizable room. The decor is a bit dated but the overall experience is great. Special thanks to Jenny and the valet staff for helping us make restaurant reservations and communicate with the taxi who tried to overcharged us.

The room was spacious. Even though I booked through different platforms, I mentioned it to the front desk when checking in, and the staff happily arranged for me to stay in the same room for the entire duration. The room was a large double. The only minor issue was that the soundproofing wasn't great. I needed to cut some fruit, and they quickly sent a staff member with a knife and fork, and even a plate. They also brought a wine opener to the room, which was very thoughtful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The location is also excellent, just across the road from the subway exit. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

This 5-star 'wellness and healing' hot spring hotel is incredibly convenient, located just a 1-minute walk from Xinbeitou MRT Station across the street. It specializes in sulfur hot spring rooms, making it perfect for travelers looking for a high-quality, relaxing experience in Beitou. Guests of Hotel Royal Beitou can enjoy a leisurely and flavorful buffet breakfast at the exclusive restaurant, where the food quality is excellent and the ingredients are very fresh. Nearby, there are city attractions such as Beitou Hot Springs, Beitou Hot Spring Museum, and Beitou Public Library, all easily reachable on foot from the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my two-day sightseeing and relaxing trip to Beitou and will definitely stay at this hot spring hotel again on my next visit.

This hotel is conveniently located near both the airport and Taipei Main Station. A taxi from Songshan Airport cost me TWD 250 and took only 15 minutes. It's about an 8-minute walk to Zhongshan MRT station, which is close to Eslite Bookstore and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. I enjoyed strolling from Chifeng Street all the way to Ningxia Night Market – it's a great area to explore. The room itself was well-appointed with thoughtful design. The buffet lunch, priced at TWD 2000 per person, was quite refined. I also visited the sauna at night; the facilities were well-maintained and very clean. It's a shame I couldn't use the outdoor pool due to the rain this time. Overall, I felt it offered good value for money, though the view from the window in the standard room type was a bit uninspiring.

This trip exceeded all our expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful during check-in. When they learned it was our anniversary, they even upgraded us to a Maple Forest Room and surprised us with a lovely small cake in the evening, which made my wife very happy. The hot spring quality and facilities were top-notch. Although the water filter in the indoor water dispenser needed replacing, the staff quickly provided bottled mineral water. Overall, the minor flaw didn't detract from the experience. Highly recommended!

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

The location of this hotel is perfect, situated right next to 101. A short walk across the footbridge and you have access to a number of restaurants and food court. The room itself is sufficient but a bit old and dated. The lobby is big and full of people, almost like a tourist attraction. With the doors constantly opening and closing, any cold air tends to escaping resulting in quite a warm and uncomfortable lobby.

Sweetme Hotspring Resort is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Xinbeitou Station and conveniently close to many restaurants. One of the highlights of the stay was the spa experience. Guests can enjoy both the private in-room hot spring and the public spa facilities. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Breakfast was another strong point, with a good selection of food to start the day right. Overall, Sweetme Hotspring Resort delivers a well-rounded experience with great amenities, a prime location, and a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely come back again.
