Service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. In terms of amenities, travelers should manage expectations. The hotel provides the basics but not everything you might find in a full-service hotel. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries as only minimal items are provided in the room. Breakfast is simple and delivered as a packed option, typically something like a sandwich or a burger-style item. It is basic but perfectly adequate. One nice touch is that the hotel offers free coffee throughout the day from a coffee machine and complimentary snacks such as chips and crackers at the reception area. The location is super convenient—just a short walk from Taipei Main Station, which made getting around the city and to the airport so easy. I always felt safe even when coming back a bit late, which is a huge plus when you’re traveling alone. The place itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff were—they’re always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need. As a female solo traveler, safety and comfort are everything, and Main Inn definitely delivered. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home while still being budget-friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re planning a solo trip to Taipei 💛

The location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Yes, it's charming. Friendly staff and cozy rooms create a welcome-atmosphere. The location is excellent - in a walking-distance to Songshan Station. Even Taipei 101 is only 1,5 km on foot away. Good to know: Should you book the breakfast option don't expect a breakfast buffet, but packed sandwiches or ban baos instead. Free coffee and soft drinks are being on offer 24/7. And the nearby night market caters all needs throughout the day anyway. Ubikes rental stations are plenty to start your bike adventures in Taipei. Simply begin at the nearby Rainbow Bridge and cycle along the Keelung River.

We arrived around 12 a.m., and it was very easy to access the dormitory. The place was very clean, and the mattress was comfortable to sleep on. We didn't need to check in because the key card had already been prepared for guests arriving at midnight. Overall, it was a smooth and convenient experience. Highly recommended!

Great hotel ever! Room is very clean, big, and good smell. Good location of hotel. Very near MRT Ximen exit 5 and Ximending. The staffs are very great, polite, and helpful. Many types of room (2-3-4 beds) with reasonable price. This hotel will the one and only one that I will choose and book for the next Taipei trip.

I stayed at Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station primarily for its excellent location. It's only a few minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or taking trains to other destinations. The room itself was reasonably clean and comfortable, but the hallways and common areas were a different story. They looked quite worn, with stained carpets and an unpleasant smell, which left a poor first impression. The hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors of a commercial building. One concern I had was that the elevators are shared with the rest of the building and are not restricted to hotel guests, so security didn't feel as reassuring as it could be. The staff were generally helpful whenever assistance was needed, although they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, having complimentary washers and dryers on the same floor was very convenient for travelers. Overall, this hotel is a practical choice if your priority is location and value, but improvements to the common areas and guest security would greatly enhance the overall experience.

The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside. However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).
