Renovated in 2023, the TW Capsule Hostel is a great choice for accommodation in Taipei. The hotel is conveniently located just 2km from Wanhua Station and 8km from Taipei Songshan Airport. The closest major public transportation, Ximen Metro Station, is only 500m away. This hotel is located near many of Taipei's attractions including Liberty Square, Dihua Street and Taiwan Museum Railway Department Park. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"I stayed for several nights in a 4-person female dormitory room. There's no separation by floor for male and female guests; both are assigned to the same floor. Therefore, the sinks, toilets, and showers are all shared. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded, and the facilities were regularly cleaned, so it wasn't inconvenient. It seemed there was a shared washing machine located deeper inside. Although the air conditioning in the room was on, it wasn't cool enough to be comfortable. Inside the capsule, there's only one Type-C charging port and one USB port. The USB port in my capsule was broken. There's also a fairly deep personal locker in the room, probably about 50-60 cm deep. Additionally, there was a small table in the room with an outlet for charging. The basic amenities provided inside the capsule include one small towel, a pack of tissues, and earplugs. If you add them on Line Messenger, they respond to your inquiries. I was very satisfied! My roommates were great, so we had a quiet and pleasant stay."

The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff were—they’re always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need. SShuxiaThe location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Even Taipei 101 is only 1,5 km on foot away. Good to know: Should you book the breakfast option don't expect a breakfast buffet, but packed sandwiches or ban baos instead. Free coffee and soft drinks are being on offer 24/7. And the nearby night market caters all needs throughout the day anyway. Ubikes rental stations are plenty to start your bike adventures in Taipei. Simply begin at the nearby Rainbow Bridge and cycle along the Keelung River.

GGuest UserWe arrived around 12 a.m., and it was very easy to access the dormitory. The place was very clean, and the mattress was comfortable to sleep on. We didn't need to check in because the key card had already been prepared for guests arriving at midnight. Overall, it was a smooth and convenient experience. Highly recommended!

LLuv to travelDue to its strategic location near Ximenting, this hotel commands a price premium. However is it really value for money? Not really. The sound proofing is really bad. We were given rooms at the 3rd floor. You can clearly hear the noise from traffic below and even louder conversations from pedestrians along the street, including a lunatic screaming vulgar curses at the hotel from the ground floor at 2.10am. Supposed to be equipped with laundromats (for a fee) but these were down the three days we were staying there. Breakfast was mostly Chinese selections with toasted bread and pastry choices. Reception was robotic, no smiles, all following an SOP which they don’t deviate from. All your questions have been anticipated so you should be patient and hold them. They will be answered at the end. Honestly no one needs to stay near to Ximenting for the entire trip, with subway and public transport so convenient. And you don’t go there every night so cast your net wider and you have more choices with better service and comfort.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they were quick to help whenever I had a question or an issue. The location was super convenient, with plenty of amenities nearby. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. Overall, the quality of my stay exceeded my expectations. VVicki604I stayed at Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station primarily for its excellent location. It's only a few minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or taking trains to other destinations. The room itself was reasonably clean and comfortable, but the hallways and common areas were a different story. They looked quite worn, with stained carpets and an unpleasant smell, which left a poor first impression. The hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors of a commercial building. One concern I had was that the elevators are shared with the rest of the building and are not restricted to hotel guests, so security didn't feel as reassuring as it could be. The staff were generally helpful whenever assistance was needed, although they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, having complimentary washers and dryers on the same floor was very convenient for travelers. Overall, this hotel is a practical choice if your priority is location and value, but improvements to the common areas and guest security would greatly enhance the overall experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside. However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).
