Renovated in 2023, the TW Capsule Hostel is a great choice for accommodation in Taipei. The hotel is conveniently located just 2km from Wanhua Station and 8km from Taipei Songshan Airport. The closest major public transportation, Ximen Metro Station, is only 500m away. This hotel is located near many of Taipei's attractions including Liberty Square, Dihua Street and Taiwan Museum Railway Department Park. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"I stayed for several nights in a 4-person female dormitory room. There's no separation by floor for male and female guests; both are assigned to the same floor. Therefore, the sinks, toilets, and showers are all shared. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded, and the facilities were regularly cleaned, so it wasn't inconvenient. It seemed there was a shared washing machine located deeper inside. Although the air conditioning in the room was on, it wasn't cool enough to be comfortable. Inside the capsule, there's only one Type-C charging port and one USB port. The USB port in my capsule was broken. There's also a fairly deep personal locker in the room, probably about 50-60 cm deep. Additionally, there was a small table in the room with an outlet for charging. The basic amenities provided inside the capsule include one small towel, a pack of tissues, and earplugs. If you add them on Line Messenger, they respond to your inquiries. I was very satisfied! My roommates were great, so we had a quiet and pleasant stay."

I always felt safe even when coming back a bit late, which is a huge plus when you’re traveling alone. The place itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff were—they’re always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need. As a female solo traveler, safety and comfort are everything, and Main Inn definitely delivered. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home while still being budget-friendly. SShuxiaThe location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

MMrsLeeSeunghyunRiriInitially i thought the location of the hotel was a little off but it was not far from Taipei main station if you take the TRA, its just 1 station(much faster than taking the green line train) . And you can take the green line to go anywhere conveniently like ximen(direct line) or can change to other lines as well.. There are some convenience stores, food places and all around Songshan station so it is quite convenient to stay here .. Its about 5-10 mins walk from the station to the hotel . Upon reaching the lobby, two male staffs on duty were welcoming and friendly . My room was spacious, clean and nice ! Although a little dusty on the bed frame but everything else were clean .. Room had disposable slippers, small open wardrobe, kettle with coffee tea and mineral water bottles . Tv was huge . Can just connect to our own youtube/Netflix and nice to watch movie ! There were huge mirrors near the Tv and opposite the bed but I don't prefer having mirrors opposite the bed but its fine .. Iron board can be requested from the reception if you need it . Bathroom is clean and spacious too but with only shower gel and shampoo provided(bring your own toiletries) . The shower gel and shampoo smelled really good - like in a spa feeling . 😍 Hair dryer was provided too ! The lobby was spacious with a sofa and some tables and chairs for guests to relax or have our drinks there . There were free amenities at the lobby such as coffee machine, water dispenser, some of their local snacks and even cold drinks in the fridge ! Also, they can help to heat up our foods for us, you just need to ask them for help .. All these amenities are really helpful for guests . Such an amazing service ! 👍 Raohe night market is nearby too, about 10 mins walk if you looking for street foods or some retail shops etc .. The housekeeping aunty was a nice and sweet lady .. she probably can speak minimal english only but just show her the things that you need her to topup if you dont need her to clean your room .. 🥰 Upon checking out, we can leave our luggage and bag there at the lobby and they will pass you a small paper/card for you to retrieve back your things later . The female staffs there were kind and helpful too . Overall, its been a wonderful stay here ! Will stay here again next time . Xiexie ni, CCSH ! 💛

Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes. The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

LLuv to travelDue to its strategic location near Ximenting, this hotel commands a price premium. However is it really value for money? Not really. The sound proofing is really bad. We were given rooms at the 3rd floor. You can clearly hear the noise from traffic below and even louder conversations from pedestrians along the street, including a lunatic screaming vulgar curses at the hotel from the ground floor at 2.10am. Supposed to be equipped with laundromats (for a fee) but these were down the three days we were staying there. Breakfast was mostly Chinese selections with toasted bread and pastry choices. Reception was robotic, no smiles, all following an SOP which they don’t deviate from. All your questions have been anticipated so you should be patient and hold them. They will be answered at the end. Honestly no one needs to stay near to Ximenting for the entire trip, with subway and public transport so convenient. And you don’t go there every night so cast your net wider and you have more choices with better service and comfort.

VVicki604I stayed at Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station primarily for its excellent location. It's only a few minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or taking trains to other destinations. The room itself was reasonably clean and comfortable, but the hallways and common areas were a different story. They looked quite worn, with stained carpets and an unpleasant smell, which left a poor first impression. The hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors of a commercial building. One concern I had was that the elevators are shared with the rest of the building and are not restricted to hotel guests, so security didn't feel as reassuring as it could be. The staff were generally helpful whenever assistance was needed, although they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, having complimentary washers and dryers on the same floor was very convenient for travelers. Overall, this hotel is a practical choice if your priority is location and value, but improvements to the common areas and guest security would greatly enhance the overall experience.

The young men and women at the front desk were incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and attentive. They helped us plan our itinerary and transportation for our trip to Hualien Yilan, and also shared recommendations for delicious food and fun activities there. The room was also quite neat and clean, overall everything was excellent. Definitely recommend!
