Best Hotels in Taketoyo, Japan

Needless to say, the Japanese service is super good, although the English is not very good, the hotel is far from the train station, but you can take a bus to Yoshida Ryoda. I used it when I walked ”town” in Tokoname. It is about a 3-minute walk from ”Meitetsu Tokoname Station” and there is also a free flat parking lot, so it is convenient to go by train or by car (I went by car). The main building I stayed in seems to have opened in 2004 (the annex is 2019), so it's not that new, but it was cleaned properly and there was no shortage of facilities and equipment. I felt a little old in the form of shower toilet (because it is Tokoname, naturally shower toilet instead of washlet). Since it is a route inn, the buffet breakfast was free and there were many types of Japanese and Western menus, so I was satisfied. I didn't use it, but there was also a large communal bath of radium artificial hot springs. There were restaurants in the area between Tokoname Station and Tokoname Boat Racecourse, and there were several convenience stores within walking distance.

First Hotel Taketoyoten is located in Taketoyo and about a 3-minute walk from Meitetsuage station. All the rooms offer free LAN internet connection. Guests may borrow conveniences like hair dryer and trouser presser for free. Please inquire at the front desk for details. Guests may use coin laundry. The 4 nights stay was enjoyable, as we could visit several nice places near the hotel; e.g. Korankei Valley for Maple Tree Festival at Toyota-city, Tokoname Pottery at Tokoname-city, Tie-dyeing at Arimatsu, Mukumori-no-Mori village and Shuka-do at Hamamatsu-city, etc. Since this place is a good location to visit to Aichi, Shizuoka, Gifu or Nagano, though a driving is necessary for nearby trips. Hotel staff was nice and food was also good.

Fine hotel, rooms are o.k, breakfast is fine too. Unfortunately, restaurant was operation only in the morning, all suppose to be facilities on the second floor were not really open, because of the COVID, which is very strange at this point of time. We are already 3 years into this fake pandemic and most places around the world already understand it...

It's very hygienic. There's a supermarket opposite. It's very convenient to go out to the subway station. The price is affordable.

The hotel is situated right outside the Nagoya Chubu Centrair international airport, terminal 1 arrival gate, so will be convenient for travelers who need to catch the early flights. The Nagoya JR station in Nagoya city is accessible by the JR train station right at the doorstep inside terminal 1. Journey takes about 40 minutes and cost 890 yen (free seating). Room size is typical of most 4 or 5-star Japanese hotels, not too large but comfortable. Room allocated has view of the sea and airport buildings but nothing spectacular. Breakfast have Japanese and Western selections. Checking in and out is quite efficient and fast.

You can eat lunch and dinner here. If you can communicate with the language, you can also discuss the food of the meal. If you want to eat anything you don't want to eat, you can ask for it, and it's very cheap. Although it is a little far away from the pier (5 minutes walk), there is a shuttle bus. When the first boat arrives on the island, you can store your luggage at the homestay and rent a bicycle for free to explore the island. The owner of the homestay is a fisherman, and you can eat the fresh seafood of the day at lunch and dinner at the homestay. Very delicious, absolutely!

The hotel is great. It is located near the airport, only 200-300 meters away. The breakfast is worth of money and opens very early (6.00 am) which is very good if you have to fly early morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. My room has a good view of the river behind the hotel. The room size is big and comfortable for 2 people. I will stay in this hotel again next time when I goto Nagoya.
