Talkeetna Inn

The inn provides pick up from the train station which is really helpful. There is limited Lyft drivers so it is hard to get Lyft rides. We only stayed a day and it was raining heavily so we did not explore too much.

Convenient location

We stayed for New Years Eve- it was beautiful! The people who run the place are fantastic and kind. They had fireworks and hot chocolate! Rooms were clean and warm. It was the best! Walked a couple blocks to have dinner at Denali Brewing and then to Fairview Inn to have a drink and watch a live band. Easy (but cold) 5 minute walk back to the hotel.

The room setup was weird the two beds the head of one was at the feet of the other with a huge unusable space in-between. No room for luggage for two people with normal suitcases. The bathroom was clean and normal size. everything was within walking distance. It was mudding. Two of the walls buckled and came away from the wall. The window was across from another room under a roof for a walkway - dark -except at night the hallway light was on bright.

This property was clean, simple and no frills place to stay. Would stay here again and would recommend to others. Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we were here but if it had been dry, the grounds looked very nice.

Decent basic place to stay in Talkeetna. They have a bar. There are dining and shopping options within walking distance from the hotel.

Very friendly staff, happy to answer any questions and provide dinner recommendations. Local bar and entertainment on the property, fantastic atmosphere.
